Deep House
  1. The Bridge (6:55)
  2. The Bridge (Dan Ghenacia remix) (7:38)
  3. Control (6:57)
  4. Control (Art Alfie remix) (5:24)
Review: From Hudd Trax and Dessous through to One and Karat, Parisian producer Andrade has graced many a fine label in his time. He lands on Politics Of Dancing in fine fettle, jumping to the task with A-side cut "The Bridge" like he's got something to prove. The beat is irrefutable, while the soulful chords and samples rubbed into the joints make it all the sweeter. "Control" on the B-side is an airy affair that floats on plush layers of melody without losing its low-end impact. By way of variation, the remixes from Dan Ghenacia and Art Alfie simmer Andrade's originals down into measured, tool-like constructions.

Minimal/Tech House
  1. IO (Mulen) - "Prater" (8:18)
  2. Chris Carrier - "Gift Of Hippies" (7:45)
  3. John Jastszebski - "Combo" (6:47)
  4. Tommy Vicari Jnr - "Take 8" (6:11)
Review: Parisian house and techno outpost Politics Of Dancing steps up with the second installment in its celebration of three years rolling out impeccable dancefloor tackle for the minimally minded generation. iO (Mulen) strides into the fray with the playful bounce of "Prater", all swirling synthesizer ripples and sharp, snagging drums. Chris Carrier meanwhile whips up an inventive twist on dub techno dynamics with some shimmering chords that rub up against subby bass and micro samples. John Jastszebski goes for a moodier effect with "Combo", aiming straight at the heads down crowd, while by way of contrast Tommi Vicari Jnr takes a beautiful, delicate approach to minimal house with the refined EP closer "Take 8".

  1. Janeret - "First Light" (8:32)
  2. D'julz - "Organic" (6:28)
  3. Djebali - "Aliahs" (6:38)
  4. Politics Of Dancing - "One & Only" (7:14)
Review: Amongst the hustle and bustle of the Parisian house music scene Politics Of Dancing have been doing great things for the past three years. Now S.M.A.L.L and Paco are celebrating what they have achieved so far with a 12" that welcomes some highly respected characters to the label alongside familiar favourites. Janeret is on killer form with "First Light", using shimmering dub chords to course their way through a rock solid house beat in a simple but utterly effective style, before D'julz demonstrates his instinct for a killer hook with the organ-led fun and games of "Organic". Djebali keeps things tight and funky on "Aliahs", before the label bosses themselves round the record off with the irrepressible pump of "One & Only".

  1. Dub Me 2
  2. U Gotta Be There
  3. Dub Me 2 (Cab Drivers remix)
Review: For it's 14th release, Politics Of Dancing Records welcomes one of England most valued deep house producers, Nail, who has done releases for Classic, DIY, Robsoul or Mosaic, and Berlin's much sought after duo, Cab Drivers on the remix duty. The «AAsterales EPA» is a strong deep house number with two cuts, Dub Me 2 and U Gotta Be There, and a remix of Dub Me 2 by Cab Drivers.
On the A side, Dub Me 2 is an effective loopy teched-out killer, filled with funk and heady vocals. A groovy peak time winner. U Gotta Be There is a solid deep house track, with intoxicating stabs and tremendous rhythms. On the B side, Cab Drivers serve us a refined and powerful remix. A mighty interpretation for an essential release.

  2. El Amanecer (Politics Of Dancing remix)
  3. Get Some Music
  4. Get Some Music (Hanfry Martinez remix)
Review: REPRESS ALERT: Politics Of Dancing Records returns with two fresh tunes from the hot french duo Two Diggers. Hanfry Martinez and label bosses Politics Of Dancing are on the remix duty. "El Amanecer" is groovy as hell with a bouncy bassline and deep atmospheres. Politics Of Dancing turns it into a peak time track with a killer bassline. Get Some Music is a loop that goes straight to the head, with funky vocals. Hanfry Martinez delivers a stunning techy and dubby remix for some late night action. Another essential release from the parisian deep house imprint.
