After emerging out of the 8-bit and chiptune scene, Stefan Klaas turned his hands to more minimal fare, which has largely been issued on his own 31337 imprint over the past seven years. "Still" takes the lead on the A side with an austere arrangement populated by the finest slithers of percussive ticks, accented by a spacious chord with no need for anything else to clutter the mix. "Hold On" simmers the concoction down even further, creating a dark and enticing stalker out of the barest elements. "To Nadja" glides across the whole of the B side with a more robust rhythm section, using a snappy breakbeat to tell a story as the track unfolds.
