Electric Wire Hustle affiliate Benny Tones makes his debut on Berlin/Brooklyn hub Airdrop with a two stark slice of electronic soul. "Maybe In The Stars" is a cold slice of 22nd rap where Raiza Biza takes the lead with sharp but malleable bars over spacious wavy pads while "Time" takes us even further into introspective pastures with a dusky vocal Jono McCleery/Bonobo feel. The rawness and honesty is complement by both remixes - Blackjoy add lofi kosmiche to the party while Glen Astro & Imyrmind throw in an alluring drum weave and headier sense of faraway-ness. Beautiful.
