The latest tall tale from Spain's Amazing Stories camp comes from little-known deep house storyteller Cobert, who invites us to revel in The Act of Micro B. The action comes thick and fast from the moment the stylus touches the record, with opener "Jupiter Disco" - think Adonis jamming with the Radiophonic Workshop and a gaggle of bleep-loving robots - setting us up for the adventures to come. "Tesseract" is a pleasingly bass-heavy chunk of analogue sounding deep house/tech-house fusion, while "Planet Hunter" sits somewhere between intergalactic electro and skewed analogue house. As for brilliantly titled closer "Dog Shits in Snow", its combination of acid house, Detroit techno and British bleep tropes is expertly executed.
