Launched on a most sublime tip with the Touch 12" earlier this year, Hybrid Minds return with a second offering on their Hybrid Music label that keeps the tone in a similar sonic stratosphere. Whereas Tiffani Juno lent her vocal tones to "Touch", it is Hybrid Minds main lyrical source, Grimm, who returns for Skeletons. And what an assured production it is, Josh White and Matt Lowe laying down a soothing arrangement that plays the perfect backing to Grimm's solemn delivery; the arrival of a rolling groove perfectly timed! Given the blissful nature of the original, Brazilian producer Unreal wisely opts for a heavier and darker mood on the accompanying remix, which is fairly dominated by those glitch-laden beats.
