Faust's Jochen Irmler and Can's Jaki Liebezeit are two of the biggest legends in the game and it's a true pleasure to see them collaborating on new material. We've been told that Flut is the product of a meet-up before one of their gigs in Europe, and although there is no conceptuality per se, the LP is a foray into percussion and the organ. As expected, the album moved from light to dark, funky to spectral with total ease and you can immediately hear that it's been made by two masters of experimental music. Even the drum pattern of "Golden Skin" are enough to set your hairs straight. Class.
