Nochexxx aka Dave Henson returns with his third full-lengther and after appearances on Ramp and Werk Discs, he lands firmly upright on the excellent Type label...home to some of the best electronic reissues this side of millennium. Plot Defender, as you'd imagine, is an album of electronic dread coated in a loudly audible sci-fi aesthetic, where basslines eat their way through jagged percussion shots, metallic sonics and bleak landscapes of sound. The opener "Clipped Butterfly" is a perfect example of what's to come: intricate masses of percussion clashing violently with waves of subbass and bleepy melodies. Think Actress but with about 1,000 extra hertz of voltage plugged into it and you're not even close. This is great and we highly recommend you to give it a listen!
