Novation Launchpad Ableton Live USB MIDI Controller

The Nocation Launchpad is a unique controller for Ableton Live. Jointly designed by Novation and Ableton, the Launchpad is a 8 x 8 grid of backlit, multi-colour touch sensitive pads, purpose built for triggering and manipulating clips in Ableton Live. Thanks to multiple MIDI control layers, the touch sensitive grid can instantly be switched so each line of pads can be used as channel faders in Live's mixer. It also set-up for controlling pans, FX sends, track arming and soloing or muting clips, channels or scenes. Dedicated controls allow you to scroll around all your clips, with instant visual feedback of current settings. In addition, because it is completely customisable in terms of operation, each button on each layer can be assigned to whatever function you need. You can assign the bottom row of buttons as the crossfader, or even split the pad into a drum machine for creating beats and triggering samples in real time, mpc-style.

This extremely versatile controller comes with Novation Automap software, making it universally compatible with most major MIDI software applications and Vst's. Multiple units can be used in unison, with the ability to connect up to 3 Launchpads at a time. And each unit comes with a custom Launchpad version of Ableton Live software, with an additional 1GB of high quality samples courtesy of loopmasters. The Novation Launchpad controller is quite possibly the most innovative and functional USB/MIDI control device in its class.
