Since most probably missed Orkestra Mendoza's 2016 album Vamos A Guarachar - a CD-only romp through floor-friendly Cumbia and Mambo pastures - Boogieburg has decided to issue two of the collection's best tracks on wax. On the A-side you'll find "Cumbia Volcadora", a fuzz-fuelled romp rich in jaunty accordion lines, psychedelic rock style production effects, gentle but heavyweight rhythms and spiraling horn motifs. The band's psychedelic rock influence is even more pronounced on "Caramelos", a kind of Santana style take on Cumbia that also owes some debt to late '60s boogaloo. We guarantee that the chant-along chorus and wild Hammond organ solos will drill their way into your consciousness within 30-seconds pressing play on the sound clip above.
