On the evidence of Otaku, it sounds like Dib has been listening to a lot of classic 90s techno. "Otaku 01" starts the release with crashing snares, reverberating claps and a juggernaut tempo, while the second instalment is in the same vein, its insistent analogue rhythm housing insistent percussive riffs. "Otaku 03" sees Dib mellow out somewhat and the deep chord sequence acts as a counterpoint to the firing percussion that drives the track. Finally, "Otaku 04" is reminiscent of old Synewave records as raw acid lines fuse with clanging metallic drums. If you're looking for a faithful interpretation of purist 90s techno, this is it.
