Golf Channel continue their end of year onslaught with a label debut from emergent London disco dude Payfone, aka Phil Passera, which is filled with misty-eyed and nostalgic dancefloor moves. A softly strutting gossamer groove with twinkling arpeggios and instantly infectious vocal elements, "Paradise" is reminiscent of 2020 Vision at their deepest. "Mice Life", meanwhile, is a more stripped back reflective affair. All swooning synth tones and minor chords, emotion is coded into every minutiae; it sets the perfect scene for "Subcoinscient Lamentation," a super slow, slinky and introspective number with some sultry French vocals that hit you hard. Paradise found.
