Phase Fatale (Hayden Payne) is back with his second release and its comes courtesy of Berlin's Aufnahme + Wiedergabe label, who have seen releases by a wide selection of under-the-radar techno deviants. "Rot" and "Grain" are big room weapons, the sort of tunes whose hypnotics only work properly on a massive soundsystem at 6 o'clock in the morning! The God-like Silent Servant masterfully remixes the the latter into a quasi-acidic belter with a super tight groove that's prime and ready for the DJ tool plucking. "73" ties things off with a looser grip, replacing the tightness of Silent Servant's moulding for bleepier, wetter strains of 303 derivations.
