Taking off from the same bewildering, trippy, reflective spot he left us on "As We Move", Reggie cooks up two new burners. A dreamy but satirical shot at materialism, complete with lush jazzy verses and a nagging chorus, it's complemented by a Recloose-style percussive house mix (Jeen Bassa) and a late night Soulection-style beats twist (Al Dobson Jr). "Sunshine", meanwhile, is a left-minded wonky, stuttering, finger-clicking haze of hopeful modern funk. Here Jeen brings focus through the fog with an Amp Fiddler style strutter while Al Dobson Jr gets his Bob James on. All cinematic and dramatic with the right twist of jazz.
