tape_hiss is a regular on Love Notes, having only recently dropped the excellent Cognitive Dissonance double pack. The Brooklyn based producer is back on the label with another four tracks of finest deep house for the club, kicking off with the emotive but peppy strains of "Jacob's Ladder" before drifting off into the calmer waters of "Maspeth Ave". "Life As An Echo" has an equally wistful ring to it, but don't be misled, this is still sturdy tackle for the dancefloor. "The Forests Of My Mind" finishes the EP off with a hazy trip through languorous pads and dusty drums for those tender moments of the night.
