Bloody hell, it's only the second week into 2016, and already the bombs are flying! This jewel from Octave Lab Japan sees a couple of infamous Salsoul classics remixed and polished by Dimitri From Paris, one of the mythical French producers alongside the likes of Pepe Bradock. First up, Dimitri takes on The Salsoul Orchestra's "Ooh I Love It", and the dude keeps in the original's funk and flair - along with the vocals, of course - but steadies the beat rhythm and makes it even funner to play on the ol' Technics. Side B is a re-touch of the more boogied-out "Here's To You" by the lovely Skyy, another total winner and sure to get the piste going. Recommended, obviously!
