There's something rather endearing about this debut EP from Swiss producer Tissu. Perhaps it's the intergalactic dreaminess of Motor City inspired opener "Ground Loop", or the eyes-closed combination of bubbling acid lines, skittish machine drums, and sorrowful chords of "4 #2". Alternatively, it could be the cybernetic deep house bounce, fluid chords and restless hits of "Unnamed Vehicle", or even the chunky, undulating drums and picturesque pads of closer "Up". Most likely, it's all of these things combined. Either way, Unnamed Vehicle is a very impressive debut. If he keeps this up, we'll soon have a new techno star on our hands.
