He's back! Toasty, one of foundation dubstep's original contributors, returns to the bass game via the ever-evolving, ever-on-point Circadian Rhythms crew's fledgling label. "Metal" takes us right back to the coal face; steel foundry beats clanging spaciously while wafting flutes subvert the industriality of it all with a sense of murked tropicana. "Rebar" is a flex back to the early 2000s when UKG, breakbeat, grime and dubstep were all bouncing off each other where hammering breaks and a droning bass that oozes over the edges promise to cause serious damage. Finally "Bump" provides uplift and happy endings as dreamy synths soar and skippy beats swagger and stagger. Welcome back Toasty.
