Finnish electronic deviant, Ukkonen, steps up to the incorrigible Uncharted Audio with a tight little 10" after his last release on No Pain In Pop. Two cuts per side of the plate, with "First Lunation" and "Tonal Syzygy" dragging a slow kick drum along vast, airy soundscapes and creating a gorgeous atmosphere of sonic freedom. Over on the flip, "Agocic Helia" is the track most associable to a dancefloor thanks to its faster tempo and choppy melodies, whereas "Change Time" is even brighter, more sporadic and filled with tasty modular bleeps and a loose burst of kicks. Lovely stuff from both the artist and the label!
