Review: Oh yes, it's the fourth edition of Tramp's mighty Feeling Nice series, proudly presented by Daniel Wanders and Hermann Jahn. The duo are as persistent as they are talented at compiling music series with a socio-political edge, always hinting at some sort of cultural tension. With this new piece of work, they've decided to showcase the deeper side of funk, the sort you wouldn't have found on Top Of The Pops. More than anything, this is a marvellous collector's item, filled with tunes from peeps like Mr Clean & The Cleansers, Jim Pipkin, Al Sinclair, and many other artists from the late 60s who were not as fortunate in their domination of the mainstream as other singers and producers. A mighty fun pack for any serious funk enthusiast.

Review: The name really does say it all... Super rare and super heavy. And Tramp mean super rare; some of these super heavy funk jams only existed on a radio demo 50 press run (Soul Chargers' "Charge It Up Baby") while some of these were only given away free with a Tama drum kit (Johnny Apollo's cover of "I Feel Good") Unearthing gems from a genre that's been plundered heavily for the past 30 years, Wanders and Kirmayer have dug so deep for this that even the most dedicated funk enthusiast won't have many of these cuts. Super rare, super heavy and super essential.
