Review: London's Do The Du is back on his Senseverse imprint with its sophomore release. Much like the previous edition, he proves he's a big fan of that little silver Roland box - as demonstrated on the nefarious 303 sorcery of "Lost Acids", the late night/heads-down bang and clatter of "Colombine Acids" or the fittingly titled "Early Acids" - going for for a nostalgic and highly emotive late '80s feel. Remix duties come courtesy of the L.I.E.S./Technicolour affiliated Florian Kupfer - whose Mindful mix of "Lost Acids" takes the track into reductionist and freeform electronica territory.

Review: A new label and a new artist throwing their hat into the techno ring with a sideways reference to A Certain Ratio. Do The Du clearly mean business, and waste no time in laying down the law with the rowdy snarl of "Verses", a punky slice of lo-fi techno from the gutter. "Senses" is a more tightly wound, looped up affair for the most nerve-jangled of dancer, while "Sauro" makes mincemeat of the house music blueprint with a wonderfully distorted twist on the genre. "Aicee" gets the whole B-side to trance out on a submerged, throbbing 303 burner and subtle drum jack that harks right back to the early days of Phuture.

Review: Naked Eye People's Stealth Mission series continues apace with this latest sure shot of techno tricksters to get you jacking in all the best ways. I Love Acid flag-bearer Posthuman is up first with "Rejektacid", a pepped up 303 burner with a sharply executed drum machine backbone. Naked Eye People's "Balsa Wood Blues" follows up with a hopped up take on dub techno that merges with breakbeat to create something ravey yet ultimately trippy. HVL adopts his Kiyadama alias for "Slammbeat", which gets dutifully edited into shape by Ben Sims. Do The Du finish things off with some truly gnarly acid from the nightmare realm.
