Review: Precious few figures have been so instrumental in the reinvention of the guitar than Glenn Branca, whose guitar orchestras turned clanging dischord into overwhelming architectural beauty, who married the intensity of punk rock with the no-boundaries approach of modern composition, and whose influence on Sonic Youth (in fact, their core member Lee Renaldo appears on this album) was to act as an evolutionary progenitor for a rock revolution from the 80s and beyond.
