Review: After Hamid kicked off the H+ label last year he returns with an intriguing double pack that draws on a wide variety of collaborators to turn out some truly innovative leftfield house music sounds. There's an overarching theme of micro house hovering around Methods For The Madness Vol 1, but it's far from run of the mill stuff. The opening cut featuring Josh Tweek is a sparkling, swinging affair that piles on the funk and the delirious effects, while Jesse Morrison's own turn on the closing track winds up in a haunting, abstract slice of refined reduction.

Review: Santa Cata kicks off with a first release that takes the form of a various artists' EP and lays out their vision of minimal and tech house. Halbert's 'Mixed Feelings' is first and is a jittery and metallic tech cut with stark hits but dreamy chords. There is more kick to the kicks of Dojo Zone's 'Pasedonia' while Dani Casarano spins out some wonky drum machine energy and blotting synths on 'Time Chains.' Hamid shuts down with another modular workout that brims with various synth textures from trippy and late night to frosty and distorted on 'What Bout Music.'

Review: After years of organising parties, bringing cutting edge underground talents, Colt starts it's own imprint launching with a three tracker by Hamid. Three original cuts where the French born-Berlin resident shows his love for modular-influenced, weird, late-morning sounds. In Cacoethes Carpendi, Hamid finds his way through to deliver his very own hallmark thanks to his quirky and peculiar way of seeing dance music.

Review: Hamid's H+ (HPLS) label continues to plough a furrow into the freakiest corners of the minimal scene, keeping the spirit of labels like Telegraph and Minibar alive with off-kilter beats, freaky sampling and wayward synth work from lesser known operators. G76 is up on the A side with the wonky wonders of "Father", packing some seriously squelchy monosynth bass and plenty of beat trickery to wriggle under the skin of the most deviant dancers. H+DK (Hamid and Denis Kaznacheev) tackle the B-side with "Tachtagol Connection", keeping the drums as slender as possible and using a sweet but subtle pad as the focus of the track. It's a simple approach, but utterly effective.

Review: Dusseldorf tech house imprinted Gua Camole offers up some more Latin, summery tech house on its Gua Limited imprint this time with some stunning and reliable grooves. Tracks "Drink" by Masomenos or "Urself" by Enrico Martini will satisfy fans of Desolat and Fuse London. Wheres theres the more underground flavours of "Simonya" courtesy of Edward, known for hsi releases on White or Giegling. Label head Gua Camole himself closes proceeding with some mid noughties style minimal house on "Monsieur Schmitt"
