H2H & Saison - "Tempo Of Love" (6:07)
Easy Peelers - "Chekov's Gun" (6:09)
El Kazed - "For R&S" (5:46)
Mike Berardi - "Sharp Accent" (6:03)
Review: Detroit-born house music legend Chez Damier presents his new imprint here with this quality four-track various artist release. H2H (Damier and French producer Ben Vedren) kick off the A-side with the late night mood music of "Tempo Of Love" remixed by London duo Saison (No Fuss Records), followed by the classic '90s Stateside style stomp of Easy Peelers' "Chekov's Gun". Over on the flip, Strasbourg's El Kazed carries on festivities with the emotive Prescription Records influenced feels of "For R&S" and finally Mike Berardi serves up a sturdy jam geared for those heads down moments on "Sharp Accent".

The Journey Men - "Feelings" (6:29)
Local Options - "Makin’ Moves" (6:19)
Saison - "A Good Thang" (7:06)
Cpen - "Jus Music" (6:11)
Review: The No Fuss crew hit release number four with another sharply selected range of tracks from some hot property in the deep house scene. Opening up the A side is The Journey Men - a London based crew who know how to keep things soulful but headsy for the floor. Local Options follow up with a tuff, bumping cut with a cheeky dash of dubbiness thrown in for good measure. No Fuss mainstay Saison sets off the B side in fine style with the nagging micro house shuffle of "A Good Thang", before Cpen seals the deal with the garage-speckled immersion of "Jus Music". There's high grade house music throughout this 12" - one not to be slept on!

Saison - "The Break" (feat Kid Enigma - Local Options remix) (6:32)
Risk Assessment - "Dance With Me" (Michael Ray remix) (6:18)
Saison - "Dilbert's Diddy" (5:46)
Review: Rewind to 25 years ago, Natural Rhythm's 'Jive' on Earthtones Recordings (a precursor to Seasons Recordings) was the first release on a label that helped define West Coast deep house. Saison put their classic stamp on a song that helped to shape their sound today. Up next our favourite Chicago duo apply their Detroit and Chicago sound without the fluff to Saison's 'The Break'. We bet if you close your eyes whilst listening to this you'll be transported to Lakeshore Drive. On the B-side we have Full Intentions Michael Gray prove to us he can even make high quality deep house with his mix of Risks Assessments 'Dance With Me'. B2 finishes things off with Saison, apparently paying tribute to the kebab shop over ther road from their studio with the jazzy 'Dilbert's Diddy' .

Nausica - "Se Pone Loca"
D Ramirez - "Yeah Yeah"
Sllash & Doppe - "Kyrenia"
Saison - "Satisfy The Need"
Review: Mighty big-room house label Toolroom Trax is back with a sampler EP to showcase what it is all about and where it is at right now. It's a no-frills affair full of tough grooves starting with the Spanish vocal flair of Nausica's 'Se Pone Loca'. D Ramirez shows he still has the skills to pay the bills with the electro house energy of 'Yeah Yeah' then Sllash & Doppe offer up some trippy and hooky vocal sounds on 'Kyrenia'. Saison closes down with a nice vocal roller in the form of the hands-in-the-air gem 'Satisfy The Need.'

Cut The Gas (5:26)
Wax On Wax Off (6:10)
Top Bunk Boogie (6:11)
What Are We Gonna Do (7:16)
Review: North London deep house dons Saison are back on No Fuss Records with some sumptuous, discofied grooves that strike the perfect balance between heads-down, no-nonsense dance music and warm musicality. "Cut The Gas" rides on plenty of artfully chopped up disco licks, arranged, filtered and dropped in all the right places. "Wax On Wax Off" has a rich synth palette at its heart, clearly sporting a little Italo flavour in its bones with the smatterings of vocoder and throbbing arpeggios nestled amongst the more organic ingredients. "Top Bunk Boogie" and "What Are We Gonna Do" keep the pressure up on the B side, with the party energy in full force across both tracks and maintaining the same tasteful approach to the source material.

I Need Ya (6:50)
Something Made Me (Werkshy remix) (5:58)
Senor Blues (7:02)
Review: The first vinyl offering on any label needs to be something pretty special, and evidently No Fuss Records haven't forgotten that golden rule of releasing. Who better to draft than Saison, a duo with an established reputation for soulful, groove-fulled deep house that's guaranteed to make an impression on the floor? Probably nobody, hence the decision. 'I Need Ya' is a classic vocal workout, brass stabs and looped, filtered lyrics clearly positioning the track as a good times anthem. There's more than a little chug underpinning the Werkshy remix of 'Something Made Me', which stomps its way into a male chorus that should thrust fists skywards. 'Senor Blues' is more of a journey in comparison to its siblings, gradually unveiling its pianos and opening the arrangement up as the track expands from understated beginnings to room-filling proportions.

The Moody Blues
Review: Leigh Darlow and Matthew Bandy have got plenty of experience in the world of deep house, both individually and as Saison. Building on a solid run of releases for Papa Records, the project makes its vinyl debut on Guesthouse with some undeniably catchy jams for the peak of the night. "Please Don't Go" is a cool slice of party fodder that hinges on a classic soul vocal hit, while "Do You" gets a little more choppy in the mix with yet more recognisable licks that should get the masses sweating and swaying without needing to resort to a hectic tempo. "The Moody Blues" lets the keys do the talking, while yet another of the hefty grooves Saison craft so well rolls out underneath.

Review: No fuss is back with their latest artist sampler EP showcasing some of the best music on the label. Taking inspiration from their early 90's rave days Saison include their signature sound of blues and jazz keys over swinging house drums with "Want You". Local Options provide the remix on "Get This" showcasing their unique Chicago mix of Techno and Deep House which was also supported by Marco Corola. Long time friend and veteran producer JT Donaldson teams up with Saison for a soulful remix of Risk Assessments "This Must Be Deep". To finish off the EP newcomer Massiande show's why his music is currently making waves with previous releases on labels like Freerange, Ibidan and Phonica.

Review: Saison are back on their own No Fuss label with more crisp and sweet deep house for those who like it classic. The A side opens up with an energizing sure shot as Saison remix French house head N-You-Up, before they turn in the equally infectious and uplifting "One Day". N-You-Up get another treatment on the flip, as "Jazz Bar" gets snazzed up with a classy gloss of sophisticated house suitable for the smart-casual crowd as well as the party people up front. Saison's own "Sazerac" rounds the record out in fine jacking form, with plenty of soulful licks and jazzy twists woven in between the beats.

Saison - "Suffer"
Pete Moss & Colette - "Higher" (Saison remix)
DirtyTwo - "Rymden"
Review: There is a wealth of No Fuss releases all dropping this year and number 12 is a tasteful house four-tracker from various quality artists. Saison's 'Suffer' is up first as a remix from Fouk, and it is a lovely, jazzy, laidback and heartfelt sound with an infectious skip in the drums. The original is just as infused with dusty soul and warming chords and on the flip Saison remixes Pete Moss & Colette's 'Higher' 'into carefree grooves with more noodling melodies and DirtyTwo then keeps the grooves flowing with 'Rymden,' which exudes summery excellence.

Natasha Kitty Katt - "Plenty Good" (6:47)
Review: Previous offerings on No Fuss have featured the likes of Saison, Crispin J. Glover and Dean Zepherin, and now the upfront house label brings together another selection of party heaters from a range of producers. Saison makes a welcome return with the feisty "Till The Day I Die", a richly produced vocal jam with plenty of uptempo shuffle in the drums. Risk Assessment lean on the keys to create a melodic mood on "I Don't Understand" and then Saison does it again with the bright and breezy "The Riff". That leaves it to Natasha Kitty Katt to finish things up with the heavy funking disco licks of "Plenty Good" - a get-down cut for all seasons.

Review: The No Fuss label has been busy of late and is now dropping the many fruits of their labours with several EPs landing in quick succession. The 13th outing is a various artists affair that features two cuts from Saison on the A-side, though it is a Ross Couch remix of 'The Riff' that opens up. It's feel-good house with nice dancing piano chords and a Balearic feel while 'Feel This' brings more summery chords and dusty drum loops for some open-air dancing fun. Vertigini then offers the 90s-tinged 'Box Of Pandora' and Mo'Cream closes out with the already classic 'I'm Sure.'

Show Me (Waajeed Black Messiah instrumental) (6:05)
Review: The mysterious Moondance has been receiving plenty of praise for his, her or their second EP on Local Talk, and it's easy to see why. In its' original form (B2), 'Never Find Love' sits somewhere between jazz-house, synth-heavy deep house and the kind of luscious, piano-heavy productions that Ron Trent has become famous for. Arguably even better though is the A-side 'Amen Mix', which brilliantly joins the dots between tech-jazz, early UK breakbeat house, Motor City deep house and Larry Heard style dancefloor bliss. Also worth a listen is bonus cut 'The Moon Dance (2020)', a jazz-funk-fired deep house number that's as luscious and life-affirming as it is spacey and loose-limbed. In a word: essential!

Review: Art of Tones is well renowned for his eclectic blend of deep house, disco, and jazz funk and it is all that which he blends together on a remix of SEK's 'Show Me The Power' to get this latest 12" from No Fuss off to a fine start. Deepmore then makes waves with the irresistible slink and jazzy melodies of 'Love You' while label regular Saison offers up 'Deliver You', which brings a blues-inspired vocal element and transforms it into a raw and authentic deep house gem. Austin Ato handles remix duties for this one and notches up the tempo to get things pumping on rich bass and lithe pads.

Review: No Fuss is back adding another quality lineup for their eighth vinyl sampler. A1 sees Swirl People's 'We Are'. The original was was released over 20 years ago on the classic West Coast label Seasons Recordings. Saison offer a driving bumpy deep house interpretation that is bound lift you up out of your trousers and hit the dance floor with both hands in the air. A2 is no other than man of the moment Felipe Gordon. FG provides a soundscape to your chilled summer by the ocean with a stripped back jazzy version of Saison's 'Man of Soul' which we have included on B1. To round things off we bring in one of our favourite new comers Clive From Accounts on remix duties for Saison's 'Want You'.
