Review: The debut full-length from epic doom metal daddies, Solitude Aeturnus, was originally released in 1991 via Roadrunner, with the project marking a visionary fine-tuning of the doom genre, whilst crafting a minimally altered blueprint for a plethora of acts to study in the ensuing decades. Featuring frontman Robert Lowe in his prime, before his later, equally important work in Candlemass, this debut came at a time when the label's roster was a dynamic melting pot of diverse output that only in recent years has regained its expansive edge.
