Everybody Loves The Sunshine (3:57)
Lonesome Cowboy (4:04)
Review:  It's always a fun game to see when you first hear someone drop Roy Ayers's ubiquitous warm weather classic 'Everybody Love's The Sunshine.' This year has been rather cold in early spring but soon as this one gets dropped you cannot help but feel rays o your face even if they haven't yet appeared. It's a stone cold gem with its lazy drum tumbles and arching synths. The keys even sound like they can't be bothered to really move properly boucle of the heat and the lush vocal is the umbrella in the cocktail, if you will.

You & Me (radio edit) (4:23)
Magic (4:51)
Review: Sean Oliver's club soul favourite 'You And Me' gets a new release here having been a sleeper hit since 1997. It came back then on Sean's Solitaire album as well as on a 12" maxi, but has been hard to find since. The great production comes from Boomtang Boys and the tune has already been getting lots of plays. The lazy grooves, gentle bongos and soothing chords sound like a UK version of neo-soul don Maxwell, with 'You & Me' really hitting a perfect soul sweet spot. Things pick u pa little for 'Magic' which is a mid-tempo soulful house roller with big clicks, drums and vocals.

Good Good Good (3:11)
Good Good Good (instrumental) (3:10)
Review: Michelle David's first UK single 'Yes I Am' was a huge soul hit for the One World Records label back in January. Now she follows it up with another superb single that is so good they named it thrice. 'Good Good Good' is a high speed soul banger with Northern Soul elegance swirling around a tight rhythm section and 60s motifs. The vocal is skill controlled despite the heights it reaches and speed it comes at. Craig Charles has already been dropping this one, and for those who prefer it more straight up, the flip side has an instrumental version.

So Trusting (4:13)
So Far Down (4:01)
Review: The late James Kelly Duhon hailed from Beaumont in Texas, and in the late1960s he was in a group known as The Ascots. He put out a small but well formed selection of tunes and those included the two pressed up here to this limited 45rpm. 'So Trusting' is a big number with noted bass and big orchestra string stabs. On the backside is 'So Far Down' which actually got a national release on Mainstream Records while Duhon was still touring. It's a deeply affecting bit of soul musing on the lack of employment and a longing for the good times.

Time Waits (4:09)
Is It You (3:21)
Review: The ever vital Boogie Back has another pearler on its hands here. This 7" is an SOS Band influenced double header produced by Ernie McKone, with Cheri Maree on the vocals. Firstly, 'Time Waits' pairs nice analogue drum work and big, pixelated chords straight from the 80s. It's a sugar sweet tune with a buttery smooth vocal that will get those rumps wiggling. Flip it over and you will find 'Is It You', a more slow and sentimental tune with splashy chords and bendy bass. The vibe is steamy and romantic, with the sort of tempting groove that you won't be able to resist.

Left Behind (feat Jamie Allensworth) (4:12)
I Want You (feat Terin Ector & Jamie Allensworth) (4:36)
Review: Mestizo Beat have been making moves on the West Coast scene for a while now and this new one is sure to help them go to the next level. It expands on the core sound the band have championed so far with cues from Roy Ayers, Isaac Hayes, George Benson, Eric B and Rakim all stitched into their own particular brand of soul. 'Left Behind' (feat Jamie Allensworth) has breezy, soulful vocals and harmonious jazz keys while 'I Want You' (feat Terin Ector & Jamie Allensworth) is a cover of Marvin Gaye's 'I Want You' with its swooning horns and vintage synthesizer strings soaring over the top.

I Just Can't Stop (3:28)
Help Me Along (3:38)
Review: Wales-based American Jeb Loy Nichols is the latest singer-songwriter to join forces with Timmion Records' insatiable house band, Cold Diamond & Mink. He has already turned out some fine results earlier this month and now comes back with another sizzling 7". This one opens with the breezy, jazz tinged surf-pop funk of 'I Just Can't Stop' that is a real sing along. On the flip is the more slow soul of 'Help Me Along' with its roomy rhythms and sombre trumpets.

Review: Featured here are some singles that were released by Ron Henderson & Choice Of Color between the early '70s - '80s, including their first single from 1972 'You're Twenty-One Today / Your Love' and unreleased singles such as previously unreleased numbers like 'Problem Child and ' Feel I Have It In Me'. Japanese label P-VINE boldly claims that this compilation might surpass the quality of the originals, largely featured on the Soul Junction LP released on Chelsea Records back in 1976 - so there you have it! Ron Henderson Sr was a composer, producer, singer, guitarist and label owner from Charlotte, NC. He was prevalent on the soul music stage in the early '70s.

Arthur - "So Close To You" (4:28)
Future Force - "Reincarnation" (4:28)
Review: The Mighty Zaf and Mark GV Taylor are the deep digging pair behind BBE's such loved Americana compilation from 2014. Now they are back unearthing the goods on this tasty 7". Arthur released only one solo album but its was packed with gold. This single is from it and is a pure blue eyed soul with sweet licks from guitarist Dean Devener and whimsical vocals from Maye Cavallaro. Future Force's 'Reincarnation' was originally the B-side of NYC pop and funk outfit Future Force's only ever single. It's a groovy, funk laced and disco tinged roller.

Love To Be Loved (Just By You) (4:08)
Love Burns (4:18)
Review: London-born, Stockholm-based singer-songwriter Desmond Foster has spent his career flitting between warming reggae and mood-enhancing soul, with occasional forays into reggae-soul fusion. On his latest single, Foster is in full-on 1970s 'modern soul' mode, particularly on A-side 'Love to Be Loved (Just By You)'. This is a summery and sun-kissed affair - think twinkling electric pianos, hazy horns, lilting synth strings, laidback funk beats, percussion-rich extended drum-breaks and toasty bass - with Foster's luscious lead vocal adding the crowning touch. The British singer is in similarly warm and groovy form on tactile flipside 'Love Burns', which is almost as good as the single's title track.

One More Chance Lord (3:25)
My Greatest Desire (4:08)
Review: Delores Fuller's single 'One More Chance Lord' is a real beauty that came to the Miles Away label's ears via a friendly recommendation. Gospel, modern soul and disco all get melted into a gorgeous new sound that has stunning, buttery but pained vocals up top and a soothing rhythm section making you want to dance. On the flip is 'My Greatest Desire', a ballad that again puts Delores' vocal talents front and centre over stripped back piano. The single was originally released in 1983 on Intro Records and is reissued here with full blessings
