Review: Repress alert! Last year's Ricky Villalobos remix of Soul Capsule (aka Baby Ford, Tomas Melchior & Tim Hutton) gets a welcome repress on Baby Ford's revitalised Trelik imprint. The shaggy haired Chilean don turns "Seekers" into a sprawling, cerebral epic, stripping away the original's vocal elements in favour of some shimmering late night keys - typical Villalobos tackle and all the better for it. Flip over for the sweat drenched original version which ain't half bad either, as the competing vocal elements and sparse instrumentation lend the track a decidedly trippy vibe.

Review: Autoerply returns with yet another trailblazer, here we introduce Athens based DJ & producer Fog. His crisp, tight productions have been finding their way into the boxes of Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Motorcitysoul & Markus Fix to name a few. Remixed by Australia's #1 ambassador for Techno - JUG.

Review: When a DJ of Ivan Smagghe's stature leaves a 150 word reaction waxing lyrical about a record, you know it’s gonna be something a little bit special. Mugwump's The Congregation Of Discalced Clerks is that record and it's a thumping release for NYC imprint Throne Of Blood, rapidly becoming contenders for label of the year. This is the first release from the Belgian duo this year after having hit paydirt of late with key releases, future classics and cool remixes for the likes of Misericord, Disco 45, International Feel and Permanent Vacation. "Concrete Skankin" is a re imagination of the Nitzer Ebb classic "Join In The Chant" that pulses with energy, all throbbing bass and oodles of acid squiggles. Flip over for "The Congregation," a neat mid tempo bumper which is reminiscent of the "Theme For Great Cities" by Simple Minds. This EP is a great taste of what to expect from Mugwump's forthcoming long player on Kompakt.
