Apple - "De Siegalizer" (Logos remix) (4:57)
Sir Spyro - "Side By Side" (Ygg remix) (2:51)
Kamixlo - "Mata Lo" (DVA Hi:Emotions remix) (3:30)
DJ Haus - "Hot In Dis MF" (Deamonds remix) (3:29)
Review: Radar Radio selector Amy Becker follows up her TRX set with another clutch of unreleased specials from some of London's freshest free-thinkers. Logos twist on Apple's "De Siegalizer" is a retro take on future breaks, grime crew Ygg coat Sir Spyro's "Side By Side" with barbed lyrical icing, DVA's take on "Mata Lo" militantly marches out of Metropolis while Deamonds takes DJ Haus on a slow trip down a dark slimy grime alley. Becker's connections and nose for futuristic sound is second to none right here.

Can't Say No (feat Roses Gabor) (3:47)
Fortuna (with Alix Perez) (3:56)
Salt Toffee (4:11)
U Smart (with Tim Parker) (4:10)
Spooky Dub (3:59)
Berlusconi (3:24)
Review: Stray, Sabre and Halogenix cannot do anything wrong right now. Their actions on the very frontier of halftime are causing ripples so deep we won't even understand their effects for a few years. "Fortuna" is their largest body of work since their debut album last year; the sci-fi neo-soul of "Can't Say No", the far-away metallic clanks and bangs of the title track (with Alix Perez), the sticky gooey weirded out wonks of "Salt Toffee", the 22nd century gangster jam "U Smart", the haunted harmonics and twisted church bells of "Spooky Dub" and the muffled operatics of "Berlusconi".... Sounds as far-out and far-thought as these can't be found anywhere else right now.

Not Above That (4:47)
Not Above That (Deadboy mix) (4:09)
Review: Remember Guy Gerber's seminal "Hate/Love" tune that was out on his own Supplemental Facts in the deep house hey-day? And remember the vocals on top of it? Yes, that was Dawn Richard, and she's back with her own show and tell for Local Action. Not Above that is far from house music, and instead takes more from juke, dubstep and London's genreless 'bass'. Put it this way, its pop music with a heavy electronic edge...but really heavy. Local Action favourite Deadboy turns in a wonderful beatless remix on the B side!

Call To Me (5:38)
Le Freak (6:18)
Review: Fresh from a killer debut on Unknown To The Unknown, Leeds duo Mak & Pasteman continue their irregular series of Me-themed singles for Lobster Boy with the two-track 12" smack down Call 2 Me. Honing in on that craftily effective bass heavy house sound, Mak & Pasteman lay waste to speaker systems everywhere on the title cut which features some nimble-fingered synth playing! Face down and "Le Freak" sees the pair indulge in a more manic brand of dancefloor devastation with a massive drop that will have suitable effect on those who encounter it in the club.

Gang Drone (10:33)
Animal (A), Forcible, Corporeal, Object (6:53)
Where You Are (4:50)
Review: White shadow designs from the man previously known as Teeth: "Gang Drones" sits somewhere between Modeselektor and Fracture with its twisted church tones and subverted rap vocal. "Animal (A), Forcible, Corporeal, Object" isn't just a catchy title... With its broken 909s and Drexciyan aesthetic, it's an uncompromised tech construction with slight shades of light shining through the pitched drum melodies and sudden drops into breathy beatlessness. Finally we hit the subverted UKG tones and wave textures of "Where You Are", a moment for Twwth to remind us of his softer, soulful side.

Review: With a sizeable collection of 12" releases exploring his particular oeuvre since first emerging in 2012, Bristol's Rhythmic Theory now steps forward with a suitably murky debut album for local bastion of quality, Idle Hands. Some seven tracks deep, Circulation finds Rhythmic Theory wisely using the album format to expand his production palette, dropping deeper to explore the DNA of sub bass and rhythm. It's a wonderfully immersive experience, programmed superbly to deliver what you want from an album in a manner so many other electronic artists who approach the format fail to deliver. Equally there is plenty here that would fit snugly within the confines of a mix, with the simmering drama of "Waldron's Lament" a considered highlight.

Midland - "Safi" (5:47)
General Ludd - "Burning Mack" (6:18)
Auntie Flo - "Daabi" (5:26)
JD Twitch - "Maya" (4:58)
Review: JD Twitch's Autonomous Africa series is something of a rarity. Each annual 12" single, which features modern electronic music influenced by African rhythms, sounds and styles, is used to raise money for a different African charity. Proceeds from this third 12" in the series are destined for Tanzania's Mtandika Mission, a charity run by Midland's parents. It seems fitting, then, that he kicks things off with "Safi", a heavyweight slice of future voodoo that expertly blends analogue electronics and bombastic African rhythms. General Ludd go deep, psychedelic and off-kilter with their brilliant "Burning Mack", while Auntie Flo delivers a stripped-back vocal cut with echoes of his recent material on Permanent Vacation. Finally, Twitch steps up to deliver "Maya", which sounds like LFO's "LFO" re-made by African musicians.
