Track 1
Track 2
Review: Classic Coki behaviour and support surround this release: Tentatively discussed across the forums and Facebook pages since Chefal exposed them on Rinse well over a year ago... Both the savage cut-throat drops of "Demonator" and the mind-bending fusion of "Indian Girl" showcase Coki at his very best. The latter will serve as a secret weapon for peak time antics while the former will add colour and fun to any dance thanks to its insane measures of musicality and left-minded influence sources. Demonstratively big.

Moon Man
Moon Man (Gantz remix)
Review: Send may be a new name but you'll be familiar with the pair behind the project. Killawatt and Ipman have countless collaborations under the collective belts and it's nice to see them transfer their general disregard for the concept of genre boundaries to this new project. Issued on the Osiris offshoot Ruff Cut, do not expect this Send debut to stick around, especially as "Moonman" is a dizzying cross pollination of UK Soundsystem culture with jungle, dub & grime all wedged into a off kilter, polyrhythmic steppers anthem. On the flip, bright young Spark Gantz rolls with the abstract nature of the original on a remix that takes things to a darker place.

Gorgon Sound - "Find Jah Way"
Dubkasm - "Find Jah Way" (version)
Review: Peng Sound revisit their highly sought after debut release. Just shy of two years old, it still rattles and hums with authentic dub warmth and drama. Gorgon Sound's original bubbles with bouncy heat as the bass modulations spring off the double-up kicks. Dubkasm's version is equally alluring as we're invited into a much wider space where guitar shots and other melodic elements are entwined into the mix. One timeless composition, two killer versions, if you weren't lucky enough to grab this first time round, you know what to do!

Broken Dawn
Andromeda
Review: Following last year's gargantuan "Set You Free / Gorilla Force" double A, Chestplate don Distance unleashes another epic EP. So epic it's being delivered over two parts. For the first part we find him in two distinctive moods: contemplative and icy on the stark, stuttering "Broken Dawn" and grumpy and gritty on the distorted, riff-heavy "Andromeda". Both, as you'd expect from the dubstep bastion, carry serious weight that will resonate with DJs of all dub styles.

Review: Bubbling from the dub motherland, Kingston Jamaica, Moonshine Recordings deliver the first part to their biggest album to date. Uniting artists from all sides of the oceanic dub pool, Steppin' Forward documents bass music and dub culture's furthest, most expansive potential. From Compa's undulating bass wriggles and reverb synth shots on "One Lion" to the heavy, gurgling low-end menace of Violinbwoy's "Echo Park" this is guaranteed to resonate with all sides of the dub spectrum.

Review: The second part to Jamaican Moonshine's 15-track heavy adventure into the finest contemporary dub sounds: Ranging from the incredible smoky soul of Hylo, Jago and Sleepy Time Ghost's "Concrete" to the loopy, far-out expansions of Kalbata's techno-referencing "Man God" via Adam Prescott's soundsystem primed "Kingdom", this represents future dub with matchless creative scope.

Untouchable
System Reset
Review: Part two of two, Distance continues to push us to the very limits of dubstep with another doublet of stunning, crowd-stopping compositions. "Untouchable" is raw haunted house material thanks to the evil vocal sample, harrowed bass, cobweb pads and muscular halfsteps. "System Reset" is the perfect counter; a star-gazing stepper that shimmers with nuances of early D&B science and trembles with a delicate vocal, this will especially resonate if you're a fan of dBridge and Instra:Mental.

Review: Sleeper's called this an EP. But as it weighs in at seven tracks, he's actually given us the lion's share of an album right here... Scoring 100 per cent on the killer/filler ratio, it's also an essential album at that. Super-charged with a rhythmic techno spirit, each cut is designed wholly for the dance. From the scary drones and paranoia of the ideal set opener "Meth" to the unrelenting kicks, hypnotic snares and bitter acid licks of "Khenti Amentiu" via the pulsating sub bubbles and industrial strength drums of "Atef Crown", this really is a next level experience. Do not sleep on this!

Let It Be Known
Minors
Review: Having been the subject of pleasant comparison for many years, Swindle and Joker finally get on the collaboration tip with this crucial platter for the Butterz label. Apparently the genesis for both tracks here dates back to the pair coming together for a headline b2b set at Butterz 3rd Birthday party in Bristol and we'd like to think it's the start of a long lasting studio relationship. The heavily funked lead cut "Let It Be Known" is all about those vividly bright purple synth lines and the superbly epic bass drops and general swagger, whilst Swindle's rhythmic deftness really comes to the fore on the flipside bumper "Minors".

Review: By now, we should all know what to expect from dubstep veteran Caspa. He operates at the more aggressive, in-your-face end of the dubstep spectrum, offering a no-nonsense approach to floor-filling grooves. Here, he presents his latest mix - a heavyweight sprint through speaker-worrying riddims, gargantuan basslines, bold riffs and wobbly trap, with occasional forays into calmer, melodic waters thrown in. Along the way, highlights are plentiful, from the big vocals and winding melodies of Emalkay's "The Line", the cyber-wobble of The Others' "Amazonia VIP" and his own bombastic "London Zoo" standing out.

Review: Former KLF collaborator Tony Thorpe (AKA The Moody Boys) has run a myriad of record labels over the years, with Studio Rockers his current project. Here, he presents the belated follow-up to 2009's Studio Rockers @ The Controls compilation. Featuring 15 fresh cuts - including 12 previously unreleased jams - it offers a whirlwind trip through dancefloor-focused British bass music. As you might expect, there's plenty of dubwise rhythms (see Albert's fierce "Drippin The Who" and he Widdler's booming dubstepper "Final Stage"), alongside bursts of broken beat (Buckfunk 3000, Lewis Badwan's superb "Sea of Trees"), two-step garage (EVM 128), revivalist jungle (the obligatory Moody Boys cut) and even a dollop of blazed trip-hop (Exposia's picturesque "Hold Me Back").
