K1 - "Star Gazing" (feat Dopllereffekt) (4:27)
Dopllereffekt - "Telescope Array" (7:52)
Review: Keith Tucker and Gerald Donald of Dopplereffekt did it......They finally got together two of the originators from the monumental Detroit electronic groups Aux88 and Drexciya. The combination of these two musicians has created a retro bombardment of funk as only Keith Tucker and Gerald Donald can bring. That unearthly eerie funk and strings from other worlds. This release gives a sense of a melding of Cybotron and Kraftwerk....That snappy intelligent funk that Detroit so heavily influenced and unleashed to the universe.

New Tech Swing (5:01)
Die Welt (6:47)
Slaves Of War (5:17)
Jus Tee Naa (5:19)
Review: Credit 00 is back on the cult Pinkman label with more of his twisted electro slash new beat slash odd-ball club joints. 'New Tech Swing' is slow and tests you as it churns over, with prickly hits and slithering electro bass, while 'Die Welt' brings a more dark vibe that is haunting and star-gazing. 'Slaves Of War' is another track focussed don atmosphere with is slow, sludgy beats and dehumanised vocals. 'Jus Tee Naa' is a drunken rhythm with kicks and bass and acid twitches all piled up on top of one another and threatening to collapse at any time.

Freak-A-Holic (alternate Universe mix) (7:33)
2 The Extreme (long version) (10:17)
Review: It's been 25 years since the anthem 'Freak O Holic' by Los Angeles electro legend Egyptian Lover was first released. His label Egyptian Empire Records serves up a repress for all the fans out there, featuring an extended version of the track, presented here as the super sleazy Alternate Universe mix on the first side, followed up on the flip with '2 The Extreme' (long version) taken from the seminal album of the same year - the 1986 LP. A true pioneer, Egyptian Lover's (real name Greg Broussard) earliest material is name checked by producers such as as Autechre and I-F as influential.

Long Island Soul - "Eleventh Hour Exchange" (5:12)
Baby Rolen - "Metallic Humanoids" (5:59)
Abdul Raeva - "Celestial Body" (Venus mix) (6:38)
Review: Gestal is leading the way in the Estonian scene and now it rightly continues its anniversary celebrations with a third volume of vital VA cuts. Anderson opens proceedings with his 'Stalactites,' a nice leggy electro cut with a heavy drum and bass combo but plenty of astral details. Things get more kinetic and travel much further from the blue planet on the superbly slick and serene cut from Long Island Sound, while Baby Rolen gets down and dirty on twisted bass and slapping drum hits that make you jerk. There is a much more dreamy vibe to Abdul Raeva's 'Celestial Body' meaning things close on a perfect emotional note.

Aura (Vuda Je) (2:55)
Kinda Dreamlike (5:58)
Gears Not Working (5:21)
Back In Balance (Equilibrium) (4:16)
Review: The Abstract Eye is one half of GB aka Gifted & Blessed aka The Steoples. He has a sound that brims with analogue electronics and could be from the future or 30 years old. His emotive sounds here take us on a journey through the cosmos with 'Aura (Vuda Je)' setting the scene some gentle modulations. 'Kinda Dreamlike' is what Omar S might sound like high on DMT and the EP highlight 'Gears Not Working' rides on a rugged beat with soulful electronics and loose chords adding light and warmth. 'Back In Balance (Equilibrium)' is a final future retro gem with more magnificent synth work.

Accelerator (Rudolf C mix) (5:31)
Exaltic (6:07)
Glycol (5:24)
Review: Echocentric Records welcome back Melbourne's fast rising talent DJ Life to complete the Musica Australis Incognita trilogy. 'Accelerator' opens the EP with high speed, peak time techno that is nimble and sleek, with a rugged bass and trippy hook. The Rudolf C mix takes the form of some classic 90s tech, with pulsing bass and punching drums, then 'Exaltic' is another slippery groove that hurries forwards on hypnotic loops and electro groove, while 'Glycol' closes on a bumping and more raw electro tip.

Black Material (5:10)
Review: Electro Records' popular Electro Transmissions series has gone from strength to strength this year, with excellent EPs from N-Ter and Alex Stark being followed by a mulyi-artist extravaganza entitled Xtermination Crew. The imprint's latest must-check missive comes courtesy of Martin Mastike's Blackploid project, which he reactivated earlier in the year via a 12" on CPU. There's plenty of classically intergalactic electro to be found across the EP, from the rising and falling synthesizer melodies and deep space chords of opener 'Xenon', to the meteor show vibes of 'Black Material', where chiming lead lines tumble down over punchy drums and a faintly foreboding bassline. Other highlights include the spacey chug of 'Frustration' and the Kraftwerkian synth-pop of 'Radiation'.

Trenton Thunder Tickets (6:37)
The Lost Souls (version 1) (5:02)
Novice Trainer (5:05)
Advocates For Education (5:52)
Review: Frenchman Dynarec is an electro wizard. He plays his sequencer with a rare zeal, coaxing weird and wonderful sounds of it it as he journey through the cosmos. His patterns, colours and FM modulations are to die for, and that is the case again here across four tracks designed for real electro heads. There is tight, clipped funk to 'Trenton Thunder Tickets', then a more deep and slow sense of funk to the deeper 'The Lost Souls (version 1)'. It's back to full throttle for 'Novice Trainer' which kicks like a mule, then 'Advocates For Education' rains down melodies on your more than happy head.

Hexagon - "Isotope" (5:59)
Hexagon - "Shimmer" (5:15)
Versalife - "Alpha" (6:34)
Versalife - "Kurzweil" (7:38)
Review: Previous EPs on Altered Sense showcased the work of individual producers including Cignol, Moy and Sam McQueen. This time round the Further Electronix offshoot has decided to flip the script by offering two tracks apiece from Versalife and Hexagone. The latter handles side A, first delivering the tough, lo-fi Afro-electro sweatiness of 'Isotope' before unleashing the star-fall synthesizer melodies, deep space chords and bubbly post-iDM beats of 'Shimmer'. Over on side B Versalife is in predictably fine form. The long-serving Dutch producer hits the ground running with 'Alpha', where crystalline melodies and frankly filthy TB-303 acid lines dance around a crunchy electro groove, before offering up some mutant electro-funk in the shape of killer closing cut 'Kurzweil'.

Review: When it was released a few weeks ago, the first volume of Ivan Smagghe and Vladimir Ivkovic's two-part IDMEMO: A Future of Nostalgia compilation delivered a killer collection of largely forgotten or overlooked gems from the Artificial Intelligence-era of electronica and ambient techno. The second installment is equally as inspired, with highlights including the ever-changing, acid-flecked exoticism of the Black Dog's 'Psyil Cosyin', Autechre's haunting, 12-minute remix of Seefeel's 'Spangle', the Tangerine Dream-does-ambient trip that is Beautyon's 'To Swing Pil', and the stately beauty of Beaumant Hannant's 'Utuba (Reprised Version)'. Look out also for a largely unknown - and pleasingly melodious - remix of Soft Ballet by Richard D James under his infrequently used Polygon Window pseudonym.

Center Creek (feat Denial) (5:26)
X-TDB133 (7:04)
Review: Unknown To The Unknown is on oft he those label that rarely if ever misses. Focussed squarely on the dance floor but never at the expense of invention, each and every outing is DJ dynamite. This time out Naone makes a solo debut following a fine recent collab with S.O.N.S.. 'Falling Sun' is a texturally rich, jacked up house cut with acid bass and laser synths that grows ever more unhinged. The Bliss Inc remix is a throwback to 90s techno with its mad samples and subtle hints of trance. 'Center Creek' is a long legged groove that percolates endless but closer 'X-TDB133' steals the show with its beautiful melodies and expansive sense of delicate electro groove.

Touch Down (4:35)
Review: PRZ is Chateau Royal boss, Gal Perez, who has appear odd this label's charity compilations a few time before now. Here the Tel Aviv based artist steps out with six no nonsense electro cuts that demonstrate his rare synth skills. Each tune here is fine tuned for maximum destruction - there's the crunchy drums and psyched-out synths of 'Red Material' next to more watery electro on 'CV Ride' and bleeped out cosmic fare on 'Ananas.' Things get deeper with the squelchy bass and sci-fi designs of 'Laser Quest' and 'Touch Down' which are both standouts. The signature fizzing drums, pixel thin synths and cyborg overtones of this EP are pure class.

I Guess You Know (5:44)
Sonically Entwined (5:46)
Electronic Feelings (5:18)
Review: Inflitrate's electro mission continues unabated with this new drop from Maltese producer Sound Synthesis. He's previously been spotted on Fundamental, Gated and Nebulae amongst others, and he's coming correct with four brand new cuts right here. This is classically executed electro with a warm middle that will appeal to fans of Radioactive Man's early material. "Hidden Realms" is a brooding yet cosy workout, while "I Guess You Know" heads into more sparkling, emotive territory, and "Sonically Entwined" lets in a little Kraftwerkian noir. "Electronic Feelings" is a more downcast track to close out the 12", but there's still plenty of punch in the broken beat powering the track.

Arbetsara (Ceqi remix) (4:41)
Review: Malmo Traxx: electro funk from the south of Sweden - enough said. With introductions out of the way, we shift our focus to their latest offering by its Spanish born label boss Dip Shim - the Moellan City Breakers EP. The title track hits you in the face hard from the get-go; this is mentalist hyperspeed rave tackle entangled in a violent swirl of 303 acid, hardcore breakbeats and loved-up trance pads. On the flip, he delves into moodier territory on the Detroit style sci-fi of 'Arbetsara', which is backed up ?by a much bass-heavier and dystopian perspective from debutant Ceqi.
