Review: Adeen Records 004 installment comes from Alexander Robotnik. This all new material ep starts with the techy "I Love My House." A catchy retro feel groove record that's electro as only Mr. Robotnick can do. The next song is called "You Have Time" with a sure-fire crowd pleasing remix from NDATL's own head honcho Kai Alce. The next is "Made In China," and our staffs favorite. While Camille's version of "You Have time" is a dark deep jazzy version in comparison to Kai's more clubby feel, The last track is the original version of the song by Alexander himself. Three original songs and 3 innovative producers, What's there not to love?
Review: We are proud to present another debut on Axces Records, this time from label head Alfredo92. The A side kicks off with Mimis, an explorative bass driven track with crisp snares and bubbling synthesizers. Next up is the title track Helfand, whose experimental sounds and textures take things in a mystic IDM like direction. On the B side we Adax_pcp, a hypnotic club cut which further explores complex pulsating outernational rhythms. Finally to seal the deal we have Scalex, a twisted dancehall tune with splashes of futuristic sound design.

Review: The crew behind the Hizou label is rightly chuffed that they've managed to secure this two-tracker from Andres, a Detroit producer whose releases - whether aimed at deep house dancefloors or hip-hop heads - are rarely less than superb. The two tracks the label has selected are suitably strong, too. Check first A-side "All U Gotta Do Is Listen", a warm and hazy chunk of break-driven mid-tempo deep house rich in jazzy samples, swirling crowd noises, chunky bass and dewy-eyed instrumentation. Andres' vintage influences are explored further on flipside "Night Time Is The Right Time", a P-funk influenced deep house bumper whose swinging drums and elongated organ chords casually tip a wink to classic New Jersey garage.

Review: We hear on the grapevine that there could be some seriously desirable Global Communication vinyl reissues on the way in 2020. To tide us over until then, Far Out has decided to reissue one of the legendary West Country duo's most celebrated and sought-after remixes: their 1996 "Space Jazz" remix of Azymuth classic "Jazz Carnival". Pritchard and Middleton's version is a spacey deep house epic of intergalactic proportions, with subtle elements of the Brazilian band's loose and languid '90s re-recording of the track (the B-side "LP Mix") weaving in and out of a warm, rich and hypnotic groove. It's one of the most dancefloor-friendly of all Global Communication remixes - many were straight ambient or downtempo rubs - but also one of Mark Pritchard and Tom Middleton's finest.
Review: The funking, bumping sound of Aesthetic continues to bolster the impact of parent label Constant Sound, bringing a more colourful palette to realm of minimal tech house. The latest Aesthetic release comes from emergent talents Josh Baker & Alfa, working in collaboration to summon up some sprightly grooves to put a spring in your step. "Formulate" is especially bouncy, not least thanks to those nimble synth lines, while "No 800" takes things in a tougher direction without losing that groovy swing and rich sense of melody. "Exteria" completes the set with a particularly funky concoction that heads towards the deeper end of the night.
Review: Warmly welcoming Gacha Bakradze on Horoom, we share the work of a Georgian artist that has gained international recognition in the past years. Opening with "Elevate" the track stays true to its name: elevating melodies guiding through a jungle of beats. In a time where harder is better, Gacha Bakradze elegantly suggests a more minimalistic approach to the sound of electronic music. While "Toulouse" blends darker streams with aquatic hope, "Employee" enjoys a big drop in the middle, just to continue on a more melodic note. Well crafted music through and through, this EP combines the flavours of different genres without bending them.
Review: The mightily talented Berlin beatsmith Nick Beringer comes to Constant Black with the kind of rigourous grooves that have found favour with labels like Skylax, MyHouse YourHouse and Raum...musik. Beringer's sound is a perfect fit for Constant Sound's deeper cousin, matching crafty sound design and razor sharp sequencing with that all-important minimal tech house groove. Things get playful and freaky on "Noseblunt" and decidedly uptempo and techy on the club mix of "Turning Point", but throughout Beringer's sharp sense of tension and release, not to mention his ear-snagging sound design, bind these four deadly cuts together as one immensely satisfying package.
Review: For the second salvo in their "Secret Sun" series of unreleased 1990s techno tracks, O.C.D has plucked five superb cuts from the dusty DAT tapes of Scott Featherstone, a period producer who released one 12" as Beyond A Void way back in 1992. They've found some genuine gold, too, with the five previously unheard tracks offering a melodious and floor-friendly mixture of languid electro rhythms, shuffling breakbeats, tight techno drums, weighty bass, colourful lead lines, atmospheric ambient techno pads, subtle Yorkshire bleep motifs and lashings of sun-kissed deep house melodies. Highlights are plentiful throughout, though we're particularly enjoying the sub-heavy swing of "Dat007", the Motor City influenced brilliance of "Ecordes" and the clanking sci-fi futurism of "Cheeting" [sic].
Review: In recent years Fred Peterkin has been focusing on releasing music under his now more familiar Fred P alias rather than the Black Jazz Consortium pseudonym with which he first made his mark back in the late 2000s. Here he dons the latter alias once more for a triple-vinyl album that counts amongst his most alluring, evocative, musically intricate and ear-pleasing full-length excursions to date. It's largely a warm, positive and calming affair, with Peterkin wrapping glistening jazz guitars, dreamy chords, spacey effects, scat vocals and jazz-funk basslines around grooves that variously touch on broken beat, Motor City deep house, Latin house and the kind of languid, organic rhythms more associated with the productions of Osunlade and Ron Trent. In a word: sumptuous.
Review: Scott Boutin aka Blue Soul has been with us since the label was in it's infancy. This 3 song 12" properly showcases Bluesoul's otherworldly dub house acid disco sound that is uniquely his own. Mastered by Dietrich Schoenemann at Complete.
Review: The latest drop on Constant Sound's electro branch, Infiltrate, comes from wild-card Bristolian chameleon Borai. When he's not dropping tuff, jungle-hewed rave wreckers for Hotline and Higher Level he's collaborating with October on refined house bumpers or dread-filled noise excursions in Spiritflesh. As if that wasn't enough, here he is turning his hand to genuinely fresh twists on the electro formula - a breath of fresh air in a crowded marketplace. "Flutta" keeps things snappy and decidedly pacey, but the overall mood is really quite light, while on "Rashaba" things get much darker, to an almost theatrical degree. Some of that breakbeat ruffness sneaks in on "Runnin" and then a little garage swing offsets the dubbed out showers of melody and cheeky rave stabs on EP closer "Narroways". Stunning stuff.
Review: Mark Broom's long-awaited solo EP debut for Hardgroove is upon us and, true to form, for the M-Plant and Beardman producer is a masterclass in groove led, funk-laced techno.
'Outta Sight' opens the EP with purposeful, undulating stabs mirrored by a powerful sub while the second cut, 'L4LV' heads down a dystopian yet crunching, drum-led path to hammer its point home. The title track is Broom at his stripped-back best, with just a handful of elements and deft arrangement doing all the work while track four, 'TR1', serves as a neat, dancefloor wrecking summation of the moods, sounds and production touches of the preceding three cuts.
Review: "Time & Space", Jorge Caiado's debut album, took a 7 year creative cycle to be conceived and finished. It's the synthesis of a prolific period dedicated to exploring the many facets of House music.

Review: Given the quality, depth and melodiousness of her productions, we always felt that Shanti Celeste would be capable of producing a great debut album. As "Tangerine" defiantly proves, we were right. Rooted in her dreamy but driving club sound but peppered with delicious downtempo diversions - see the Japanese-influenced new age minimalism of "Natura", the drowsy ambient bliss of "Sun Notification" and "Selected Ambient Works" style opaque fluidity of "Slow Wave" - "Tangerine" is a brilliant showcase for the Peach Discs founder's inimitable talents. There's a pleasant amount of variation amongst the killer club cuts too, with highlights including the intergalactic techno bounce of "Aqua Block", the mangled drum and bass mysticism of "Voz", the retro-futurist breakbeat garage bustle of "Want" and the dream house skip of "Sesame".
Review: Mike 'Agent X' Clark is a true hero of the Detroit scene, but he rarely gets the props he deserves, making any outing of his a cause for celebration. El Prevost's No Speakers label knows what's up, and they've drafted in Clark for his killer jam "The Heat." The name is no foil, this track will set any party ablaze with its distinctive speech sample and saucy rhythm section. Alongside the original, there is a strong cast of remixers on hand to serve up deadly variations, from the label boss' skipping, psyched-out groover to Ben Sims' appropriately thumping techno workout. Peter Rocket especially impresses with a crafty breaks version that should slot in nicely with the resurgent electro scene.
Review: Those with long memories may just about remember Clyde. The East Midlands-based vocalist and producer released a clutch of soul-flecked fusions of deep house, broken beat, jazz, hip-hop and Detroit techno on Mantis Recordings between 2003 and 2009. Here his final single, 2009's previous digital-only "Roll The Beast", is given a belated vinyl release courtesy of his old pal Martin "Atjazz" Iveson. This time round, the original version - an inventive chunk of purple-coloured, glitch-sporting vocal deep house that portrays Clyde as Derby's answer to Prince - comes accompanied by two slick remixes (vocal and instrumental passes) from Iveson. His takes are deep, groovy, organic and fluid, with plenty of the spacey "astro" style flourishes we've come to expect from his tracks and remixes.
Review: Given his productivity and the reliability of his release schedule, we were a little surprised to find that "Dawn Chorus" is actually Boris Bunnik's first Conforce album for two years. It's every bit as impressive and alluring as its predecessors, with the Dutch producer wrapping a variety of 6am sounds - frosty chords, dew-laden melodies, sunrise-ready motifs and bleary-eyed riffs - around crunchy and largely weighty beats. These are rooted in classic electro, techno and IDM, offering both titanium-clad heaviness and loose-limbed dancefloor flexibility. Highlights come thick and fast throughout, from the grumpy dub techno flex of "Marooned" and "Incunabula"-era Autechre vibes of "Solstice", to the buzzing, early morning insanity of "Umbra".
Review: Cardiology came to light earlier this year with a sure shot from Yann Polewka, and now returns with more upfront disco house delights courtesy of Julio Cruz. Title track "What Is It About U" is a heart-stirring peak time pumper that matches disco romanticism with a forthright rhythm section, while "No One" gets a little more looped up without losing that heavy dose of soul. "Honey" keeps things cyclical and strutting - a perfect edit-heavy workout for the heat of the night. "Be Around" takes things deeper, shedding the disco tones for a more techy flavour that still matches with the upfront mood on the rest of the record.
Review: After the 4 young producers completed their second Hamburg residency, they enjoyed increasing popularity in Liverpool with the growing re-edit movement. However, they were also growing tired of the monotony of numerous appearances at the same clubs night after night. In November 2018, during one of the group's frequent performances at Sugar Night Club, they encountered Driller, a local record-label owner and club owner. He later recalled: "I immediately liked what I heard. They were fresh, and they were honest, and they had what I thought was a sort of presenceA... star quality.

B1 D'Funk takes it back the to the sound of the early 90's when House was moving into Drum and Bass. Great chords with his signature 909 programming over a break beat and a deep baseline.
B2 Mark Ambrose's Machine Man track is the faster and darker track on the Ep. A track that can be played slowed down as well. A old school bassline , heavy drums and tripped out effects.
Review: Adeen Records is back with it's follow up to Alton Miller's "More Positive Things" with Chez Damier's parisian outfit French Connection. This Chinese only import five song Ep features remixes from Nicholas, Chez's Panarama Bar club banger remix, and Beijing, China's production team Camille. The B-side features "Queen Of The Elephants" remixed by Jef K, and a scorching edit of "It Ain't right" guaranteed to set the dancefloor ablaze.

Here's a fresh reissue of a dream house-era, this edition includes the previously unreleased ""Original Paradise Version"" : this is something of a deep house heaven via a sublime ambient seawaves intro. meanwhile on the flip we found two songs more underground club focused like "Paradise Dub Mix" and "Deep Jungle Mix" that despite their titles are completely different from the original songs and add more value to this Ep.

Review: While the Childhood Intelligence label has previous form when it comes to offering up multi-artist EPs, little they've released to date is quite as epic, expansive and eclectic as this compilation style double-pack. There's sadly not room to list all of the highlights and subtle variations on offer - it's pretty much fire from start to finish - but our current favourites include the acid-flecked sci-fi techno of Brad P's "Theory Test Level 3", the sparse, bass-heavy shuffle of Dei Sub's "Through Flow", the dreamy but out there ambient dub flex of QWERTY's "26xm (Canal Time Shift Mix)", the 21st century clonk revivalism of Reedale Rise's ace "Capricious" and the glistening analogue electro-meets-Chicago jack pulse of Cygnus' "Vega".
Review: The newly-formed Icelandic record label LAHAR brings you a long-awaited 12" by Den Nard Husher, a collaboration of two stalwarts within the Icelandic techno scene - Octal Industries & Vector. After a commemorative EP on Stobelight Network in 2016, Den Nard Husher strikes back with their first release since a 20-year production hiatus. It is enthralling to see how their fast-paced bustling techno renditions morph with time yet still encapsulate our body and imagination in that same meteoric signature. Den Nard Husher sounds fresh, blistering in a seemingly never-ending post-Y2K aesthetics.
Review: Dutch duo Detroit Swindle returns to home label Heist for the first time since the release of last year's superb sophomore album "High Life". Title track "The Life Behind Things" is positive, ear-pleasing and dancefloor friendly, with the experienced pair peppering bouncy beats and thickset synth bass with joyous organ riffs, wobbly acid lines, jaunty piano stabs and female vocal snippets that sound like they were lifted from an old school house cut. Lorenz Rhode hook-up "Music For Clubs" is arguably even more rush-inducing in its retro-futurist piano house intent, while Isoul8's remix of the title track is a swirling, soulful and decidedly tactile chunk of deep house brilliance.
Review: Ghetto-house originator DJ Deeon continues to dish up devilishly dancefloor-friendly material a quarter of a century after making his debut on Dance Mania. This first ChiWax outing is really rather good. As with much of his output, all bar one of the six cuts (the curiously off-beat, pitched-down "Much Respect") are powered forward by beats and basslines so springy that you'd think they were made with some future fusion of rubber and elastic. There are a few cuts that boast chopped and looped vocal stabs (see "In This House" and the classic late night ghetto-house jack of "Da Bomb"), while the A-side's three booming cuts offer subtly different takes on percussion-rich, bass-heavy ghetto-tech.
Review: For the 20th release on P.O.D Records, the duo Politics Of Dancing dug out an underground french house classic from Dj Freddy, Emergency Delivery. This long awaited repress is issued with a remix from England's very own Archie Hamilton and label boys themselves Politics Of Dancing.
Already a favorite.

Review: Madrid-based label Mate back once again with a new ep of deep house class heads. Reggie Dokes is all over the A side,the artist of Pychostasia, People of Earth, Sistrum presents three tracks full of intense melodies and chords that will make you fly.The B side presents two shared tracks by Manuel Costela, artist of Bucketround, and Rafa Santos. Both tracks are an excelent colaboration fusioning the best of these artists, with powerful bass and drums that will make you groove.
Review: Lowless is pleased to present the launch of a new compilation serie called Confluence including four deep and dub techno tracks mainly inspired by the nature. Dycide - Raijin : In a stormy yet positive atmosphere with a specific bass line Dycide recreates the ancient thunders of Raijin, the god from the Shinto religion in Japan. Daniel[i] - A Moment Of Confidence : this Rolling track mixing field recording and dubby synths, delivers a frenetic and melancholic feeling. Cyspe - Morning Revelations has emerged during the first ever Cyspe live set back in 2013 as the morning sunshine came into the club it crystallised into sonic revelations. Atomic Moog - Floating Motion has a cold groove, jostling and simultaneously mixing notes, loops and sound design with frequencies flowing through the very same hypnotic, dark atmosphere and mood.
Review: NDATL continues with an new EP from upcoming deep connoisseur Ed Nine from Chicago. The EP starts off with the energetic "Be With You" snappy beats and uplifting chords, next up "One Less Struggle" takes u into the sublime with it's deep bassline and plush chords. The B side holds the title track "Deep Concentration" which exemplifies just that, a concentration on what's deep.
Review: The second release from Music Makes Us is produced by a young, up and coming producer from Leeds. Einerlei has an unrivaled ability to create long revolving landscapes of techno, which over the course of the track take you on a journey, adding subtle elements as you listen, but retaining the core rif. This ability to create a whole piece of music out of a simple melody may seem simple in its delivery, but as you listen you notice the varying layers that make up these two driving dub techno tracks.
Review: Matthieu Faubourg's 1st album was the opportunity for him to express deeper shapes of his personality. It took Matthieu almost a year to compose it, mostly in Vienna. The whole album was created around one master idea: sobriety. Matthieu's plan was to create a soundtrack that envelops body and soul, like a journey for the mind. The music on this album is not necessarily aimed at clubs. Melancholy can be heavily felt on this album, for instance in the beautiful featuring with the German singer Meggy. Also, this project is blessed with an energetic remix by none other than Byron The Aquarius. Constant traveling and hours spent alone on the road are things that have had a big influence on this album. "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication", a quote from Leonardo Da Vinci, speaks to Matthieu in a way that he finds beauty and joy in simple things of life.
Review: Carl Finlow returns with a double vinyl 8 track album, following a prolific run of singles for Lone Romantic, Electrix, Craigie Knowes and Orson. Apparatus is a forward thinking album that reflects Finlow's return to live touring with many tracks hitting harder and darker, pushing his electro sound into new directions and soundscapes. Flawless production is something we have come to expect from Mr.Finlow yet he has managed to raise his game yet again with Apparatus. The album means business from the start, kicking off with the title track, 'Apparatus', a no-nonsense assault on the system with fast tight drum programming, heavily vocoded vocals and powerful synths. The pace continues on the record with 'Bind' and 'Carbon Deposits', Structure' but there are also pure electro cuts like 'Differential' and moody grooves in 'Ampere' and 'Viroids'.
Finlow has been on a staggering run of form and Apparatus continues this remarkable purple patch with a new lease of electro energy. It's not surprising that every credible electronic master on the planet from Weatherall and Craig Richards to Dixon and Maceo Plex are all fans of his work.
Review: Franck Collin, a.k.a. Fleck E.S.C, brings some excellent winter-time electro to the London-based label untitled (recs) for their third u(r)blue record.
The French-born, Tokyo-based producer has received praise from the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, and Helena Hauff.
This record takes cues from several sci-fi soundtracks, and taps into Fleck's wider thoughts on cinema. After having studied film and worked in movie production for several years, he believes that movies need to be a kind of fairy tale usually a poisonous one.
Likewise, u(r)blue003 delivers a capacious blend of texturesiat times delicate and expansive (e.g. 'Shelters', 'Skins & Scales'), at others assertive and grinding (e.g. 'KVFM, 'Roundup'). Together, this strikes a balance between deep club cuts and listening session tracks.
Thanks to the mastering of Aphex Twin-collaborator Beau Thomas, these textures really stand out. Listen loud!

Review: Madrid disco ambassador and well respected producer and selector Javi Frias is back with a new EP on his own label Night Shift Records including four amazing tracks that will delight disco and house lovers, covering the full spectrum of the editing craft: groovy disco funk and catchy soulful boogie on the A side, raw afro disco and uplifting modern soul on the B side. Another sure shot release that will burn any dancefloor in the next future.
Review: Russ Gabriel founder of Ferox Records and the house music label - Soul On Wax Communications is one of the U.K.'s most respected producers, having recorded nearly one hundred EPs and several albums since 1991.
His recent debut release The Controller on the respected Firescope Records continued his record of outstanding releases. He now arrives on Subconscious Algorithms with 4 slices of deep classic motor city techno. From the opening track "16 hours" with lush pads and electronic funk and "Dromedary" with deep grooves and dose of acid to "Photoa" we are in Detroit territory. The closing track "End of Doubt" adds something extra, with a more European electro feel and hints of a darker sound and rounds of the record perfectly.

It sees the UK producer move from the cinematic ambience into sleek, pulsating deep grooves. UK's Jack Bowditch has been moving through the dance music circuit over the years now and has found himself with a new alter ego in Collate. He teams up with established Romanian producers Balaur for the riveting deep classic Spinnin Voices on Astrolife. B-side opener DJ Rocca presents a nudisco odyssey into misty lands of shuffly beats, incessant basslines. Studio don Vincent Inc always bring unforgettable impressions & inspiration for mind, body & soul. 4 tracks came together to tell music stories about hypnotic deepest stuff, depression, happiness, loneliness, love, miracles and magical experiences. Review: Earlier this year, Florian Stoffelbauer donned the Heap alias for the first time in 14 months for an EP of pitched-down jams bristling with lo-fi synthesizer melodies and crispy drum machine hits. On "Beat Nouveau", his first EP for Mechatronica, he further develops this sound, drawing influence from the mid-tempo bump, trippy acid lines and faintly foreboding melodies of 1980s Belgian new beat. The title track sets the tone, with Stoffelbauer reaching for angular, alien electronics, moody bass, bubbly acid lines and eight-bit computer game melodies. The Gamma Intel remix of the same track is arguably even more druggy and foreboding, while "Tat Ark" is a psychedelic shuffle through slow electro drums and mind-altering electronics. If pitched-down ambient techno is your thing, closing cut "Beau Geste" should be essential listening.
