The dADB's active circuitry is powered by phantom power or by an internal 9V battery when external power is not available. Low current draw (less than 7.5 mA) should provide more than 100 hours of operation with a new battery (alkaline recommended).

Applications:

1. Electric guitar and bass pick up output signals - The high impedance signal from a guitar or bass guitar pickup is translated by the PDB into a low impedance balanced signal required by mixing consoles.

2. Keyboards and line level signals - The PDB automatically balances and matches the line level outputs of modern electronic keyboards. If you are using a multiple keyboard setup and your keyboards are all plugged into a single instrument amplifier, the PDB can be used to replace individual direct boxes. Simply send the output of the instrument amplifier to the PDB and then to the console (instead of a separate DI box for each keyboard).

3. DJ console output signals - DJ mixers often supply only an unbalanced -10dB signal. The PDB converts this signal to a balanced line level signal before it reaches the console, while providing a convenient method of connector transition with the capability to run long cables.

4. Speaker level signals - The PDB's ability to accept speaker level inputs from a power amplifier's output allows post-amplifier, post eq and effects signals to be fed directly to the console. In this manner, a particular effect or amplifier sound can be sent directly to the mix.

Notes: The Miktek DI-1 provides the facility for the direct insertion of an audio signal into a mixer or recorder. It offers a variety of DI solutions for live sound and recording applications. A variety of audio signals can be connected to your DI-1, e.g. guitars, bass guitars, drum machines, keyboards, outboard signal processors, high powered speaker output from an amplifier etc.

The DI-1 can be powered either by a single 9 volt battery or standard 48 volt phantom power. Whenever phantom power is present on the XLR cable (connected to the OUTPUT), the DI-1 will automatically disconnect the 9 volt battery and switch to phantom power.

The DI-1 enables you to tap off the signal from a guitar or bass guitar and pass the signal from the THRU output to the guitar / bass guitar amplifier without affecting the original sound. This can eliminate the need for miking the guitar amplifier, especially with bass guitar. DI-1 is an active direct box which has a power supply, hence you can rely on an even frequency response on any audio signal you connect to regardless of its output impedance. The OUTPUT connection gives cancellation of hums/buzzes while leaving the original signal clean and pure. Besides that the DI-1 is also useful for connecting imbalanced signals such as DJ mixers, effects processors and keyboards to a main PA or recording mixer.

Notes: The Miktek DI2 provides direct insertion of a STEREO audio signal into a STEREO mixer or recorder. It offers a variety of DI solutions for live sound and recording applications. A variety of audio signals can be connected to your DI2, e.g. guitars, bass guitars, drum machines, keyboards, outboard signal processors, high powered speaker outputs from an amplifier, etc.

The DI2 can be powered either by a single 9 volt battery or standard 48 volt phantom power. Notes: The Passive DI Box converts high impedance unbalanced signals such as musical instruments to a low level balanced output signal, eliminating unwanted noise and reducing loss of high frequencies when using long cables. With 1 x 6.35 mm mono socket input and 1 x 6.35 mm link output for connection to an on-stage combo, etc, and XLR socket output. Constructed with a strong metal case for durability, this piece of kit is built for reliable, everyday use.

Notes: The concept behind Palmer's Cab Merger may be very simple, but the unit fills an important gap! Have you ever wanted to connect two guitar cabinets to just one amplifier output? It's quite simple with the PCABM!

In addition, you can choose parallel or series wiring. For instance, two 8 ohm cabinets can be connected for a total load of 4 ohms (parallel) or 16 ohms (in series). The device is entirely passive and does not affect tone in any way.

Notes: A Reamping-Box is mainly used in studios. It allows you to play back a recorded guitar signal and send it to a guitar amp, where it can again be taken and recorded by the microphone. This way, the recording engineer can experiment with the sound of an instrument and different amplifiers at his leisure.

The DACCAPO box ensures optimal impedance matching and eliminates ground loop hum through the use of a transformer. The signal level to the amplifier can be adjusted with a volume control.

Notes: The PDI 03 JB Speaker Simulator is a professional passive DI box for guitar amps. Providing a frequency compensated, transformer balanced direct feed to mixing consoles or soundcards it connects between the amplifier output and loudspeaker or equivalent dummy load. The PDI 03 JB has been developed for live, studio and home recording applications to eliminate the need for time consuming mic placement and mic-related problems.

Designed to Joe Bonamassa's high standards for a huge but tightly focused tone the exclusive JB switch brings the output signal to the fore and takes it "right in your face." The PDI 03 JB's dual speaker simulation filters are carefully voiced to authentically replicate the frequency response of classic and contemporary loudspeakers and cabinets. The unit's input sensitivity is adjustable for amps up to 200 watts or line and instrument level equipment.

Delivering consistent guitar tone from show to show the PDI-03 JB can also be used to add realistic speaker flavours to preamps and dirt boxes in direct recording applications. The rugged powder coated steel enclosure features high quality Amphenol connectors and a ground lift to remove hum resulting from earth loops.

For amp DI WITHOUT speakers a dummy load with matching impedance must be connected. We recommend the Palmer Power Attenuator PDI06 and the Palmer Dual Load Box PLB2X8.

Notes: The PDI09 can be connected between an effect device or amplifier and the mixing console. The PDI09 is not suitable for direct connection to a guitar. Integrated filter circuits simulate the authentic "speaker" sound. Tone can be varied between "Mellow", "Normal", or "Bright".

Notes: "When I run my guitar into two amps simultaneously, I always get a loud hum". This is a rather common problem, often discussed in the technology section of relevant industry magazines. The Palmer Y box is the solution. Converting the hi-Z guitar signal, the FET input circuitry also drives a transformer which routes the ungrounded signal to the output to eliminate ground loop hum. 9V battery operation is recommended.

The PGA03 Y-box can also be used as a line driver for long cable runs. Also, the PGA03 features a phase reverse switch for the AMP 2 output when using pre-amps or amps that are out of phase.

Notes: The Palmer DUETTO is a small format active mixer. Input sensitivity and impedance are optimised for electric guitar applications but the unit also works well with other instruments and devices with line level signals.

The DUETTO allows two active sources to be mixed to a single amplifier input. Each input has a volume controller for level adjustment. The DUETTO is typically used when guitar teachers want to practise with their students through a single input amp. The DUETTO is however very versatile and can also be used, for example, as cable driver, mono merger and recording preamp.

Due to its low power consumption, the DUETTO can be powered by a 9V battery permitting extended operation. A DC input is provided for use with a power adapter.

Notes: Passive DI box. Jack input with parallel "THRU" output, transformer balanced XLR output. Attenuable input sensitivity, can handle both line level and speaker level signals.

Notes: PAN01 PRO is the deluxe version of Palmer's top selling passive DI box PAN01. It features a 2mm steel housing and heavy duty metal switches for the PAD and ground lift functions to withstand the rigors of the road and stage. The transformer has been completely redesigned and upscaled with a larger magnet core for increased dynamic range and headroom, and a metal cover for improved shielding. Also, the PAN01 PRO's parallel out is now switchable to double as additional input. This feature enables the summing of a stereo output (e.g. of a keyboard) with the resulting mono signal present at the PAN01 PRO's balanced XLR output.

The PAN01 PRO comes with a high quality reinforced nylon bag with cut-outs for connecting the box inside the bag.

Notes: Standard active DI box. Can be operated with 9 V batteries or 48 V phantom power. High-impedance input; higher output level than with a passive DI box. Active circuitry allows for high input impedance (1 meg. ohm) and higher input sensitivity (typical difference between in and out -4 dB). Maximum output impedance with phantom power operation +10 dB. Output: transformer balanced. The special "floating ground" circuitry enables ground lift even during phantom power operation.
