EBS Acoustic Preamp Stanley Clarke Signature Effects Pedal
EBS
Cat: 798772 Rel: 13 Nov 20

Acoustic preamp effects pedal
Notes: The Stanley Clarke Signature Acoustic Preamp is a 2-channel preamp, built exclusively with premium components. It is engineered and designed by EBS together with the legendary bass player and composer Stanley Clarke.

Since the preamp operates at a signal level equal to professional mixing consoles it provides a huge amount of headroom. The superior signal quality makes it suitable to use as a preamp in combination with any power amp. The headroom and specific features make it ideal for handling the complex sonic characteristics of an upright bass.

The A and B channels both feature an input GAIN control and an EQ strip with BASS, MIDS (pick the frequency range with one knob and cut or boost in that range with another) and TREBLE. They both also have a secret weapon, a control knob that can be used either as a HIGH PASS or NOTCH filter. A switch decides the function, while the control knob picks the frequency range. The notch and high pass filters are excellent tools to prevent unwanted feedback and adjust the sound to the characteristics of the room and your instrument.

With 10 Mohms input impedance for both the A and B channels, it handles any instrument with passive, active, or high impedance piezo pickups. The A channel also provides support for Electret pickups when activating a dedicated switch. The B channel allows you to use a 48V Phantom powered (or passive) dynamic or condenser microphone as the source via an XLR-input. Choose whether to use the XLR or 1/4"-input for the B channel with a switch.

The preamp lets you jump between the A and B channels to allow for different settings when you play with a bow or pizzicato or mix the two if you use two different input sources.

Blending two different sound input sources can sometimes cause a phase issue. If that occurs, a Phase Inverter switch, attached to the A channel, will solve the problem.

Hook up additional effects in serial or parallel through the EFFECTS LOOP (requires a Y-split insert cable). A TUNER OUT lets you plug in an external tuner. A BALANCED XLR-OUTPUT sends a studio-quality line signal to front-of-house or a recording device. Use it in conjunction with a Speaker Simulator and use the Ground Lift to prevent hum. The Aux Input and professional-grade Headphones output makes practicing and learning new songs easy.

Can this pedal be used with other instruments?

Yes, of course. The frequency range of an upright bass is wide and complex, which means most other instruments - acoustic or electric - fits within the range that this pedal covers. Other acoustic instruments benefit from the same specific features that this pedal is equipped with to handle the upright bass. Electric bass players may find the two similar channels an excellent way to make individual EQ settings for two different instruments and make it possible to switch between the two smoothly at a gig.

Fulltone 2B Clean Boost With Germanium Limiter Pedal
Cat: 782489 Rel: 30 Oct 20

Boost pedal
Notes: The Fulltone 2B is a tiny, transparent, and amazing boost pedal, born from the "Boost" channel in Fulltone's FD3 pedal.

Why does a guitarist need a "Boost" pedal?

A boost pedal is not only used to kick up your volume when it's time for your solo! A good booster can also solve a lot of problems in the modern guitarist's rig, because today's pedalboards average 8 or more pedals, with each of those pedals requiring: a guitar cable--->jack--->more wire--->footswitch--->circuit--->footswitch again--->jack--->more wire--> and on to next pedal. It's a wonder there's any signal left after all the stuff we put our signal through. Ever played through a 10' guitar cable straight into a great tube amplifier? The feel, the dynamics, the fat tone...makes you want to play! Then you connect to your overpopulated pedalboard and suddenly the sound is tiny, thin, with diminished lows, cardboard mids, and scratchy thin highs. This is where a good booster comes in handy, because all that wire and all those connections reduce your signal by a measurable amount with each passing effect in your signal chain. Add a good booster and you can recoup a lot of that lost gain, tone, and reactive interplay between you and your lovely tube amp. Suddenly the "touch" is back.

What happens when the 2B is turned OFF?

That's the problem with other boosters...once they're OFF, they cease to offer a high quality unity-gain buffer to drive the long cables, so you end up having to buy TWO boosters, one set to "unity gain" and the other set to do your Volume changes! A better solution is the 2B, its unity-gain JFET amp buffers your signal when the pedal is turned OFF...and when the 2B is turned ON; the only difference is now the GAIN knob comes into play allowing you to set the desired boost up to 20dB!

Why is the 2B a great booster?

The problem with other boosters is that the more you turn them up, the more highs they add. Not the case with the 2B, there is a subtle roll-off of the harsh ultra-high frequencies as you roll the LEVEL knob clockwise past 12 o'clock. It's subtle, you may not hear it, but you WON'T hear that shrill top end that other boosters can impart!

What's the DYNAMICS knob?

The 2B offers something completely unique in the world of Boost pedals; a DYNAMICS knob. A subtle Germanium diode Limiter circuit that (as you turn the mini-knob clockwise) starts to slightly alter the feel of the notes being played as well as subdue the harsh transient spikes which can overload your amp's input. Those spikes can be fatiguing to your ears, to the amp, and to its speakers! Similar to using a limiter on the mix down of a song in the studio, the 2B's DYNAMICS feature helps you keep your place in the live mix.....like a very smart compressor. This feature can make even an "ok" amp feel responsive and juicy, and will keep you from distorting the amp's input, a problem plaguing most booster pedals.

Specs:

Input Impedance: ultra-high 1.65mega ohms...Not a chance of any interaction issues with guitars or other effects
Output Impedance: ultra-low 300ohms..no chance of loading or interaction issues.

Solid Gold FX Sasori Companion Fuzz Effects Pedal
Cat: 792826 Rel: 03 Nov 20

Fuzz pedal
Notes: Inspired by the cult classic Shin-Ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz, Solid Golid's Sasori (Japanese for scorpion) is a modern, improved take on the original with an equally rich, searing sound.

Supplier's Notes:
Shin-Ei's FY-2 Companion Fuzz was born in a time when the East and West shared a hunger for fuzz, and all the fuzz pedals were being made that are now considered modern classics. As for the Companion Fuzz, let's just say the original needed some work. Despite this, it still had its devotees- lots of them- just ask Wata of Boris. As a humble tribute, the Sasori is offered.

The Sasori - Japanese for scorpion - lives up to its name by delivering a punishing fuzz tone that checks all the boxes of a versatile fuzzbox, yet is still very much a Companion Fuzz at its core. The tremendous load of harmonics and bite that characterized the original still exist within the Sasori with none of the drawbacks.

Anyone who's played an original Companion Fuzz can tell you about them- the fuzz isn't louder than unity, even when all the way up, the Fuzz control is extremely subtle and the enclosure is just plain huge. Fear no more, Solid Gold have worked overtime and have crafted an antidote to these maladies.

Like any good fuzz, the Sasori excels at both chord and lead work, but with a venom-tipped buzzsaw-like edge that pierces through the densest layers of mix without sounding like an icepick. Looking for a harmonically rich, doomy fuzz that can sound like a synthy gated snarl on demand? Make way for the Sasori.

The volume drop of the original Companion Fuzz has been properly dealt with, and Solid Gold have included a tone control to change the character of the grind from dark and moody to brash and untamed. Like the original, the Fuzz control mixes between two different flavors for maximum versatility. This is one Companion Fuzz you'll want to keep close.

KNOBS:

Fuzz: The original Companion had this control wired as a mix, but Solid Gold have made sure it controls the actual fuzz amount, from barely there to tons of hair.

Tone: Unlike traditional tone knobs, this one controls the mids. It starts at scooped and delivers a punishing dose of midrange.

Vol: There's enough volume on tap to put the sting on your amp's front end.

AUXILIARY:

Input: Instrument or other pedal goes here.

Output: Amplifier or other pedal goes here.

True bypass footswitch: Turns the effect on and off.

POWER:

The Sasori requires a center-negative 9VDC power adapter with at least 5mA of current (not included). Almost all power supplies meet this requirement, but check yours beforehand.

DIMENSIONS:

4.39" x 2.34" x 1.06" (112 x 60 x 27mm)

TC Electronic Brainwaves Pitchshifter Pedal
Cat: 781362 Rel: 19 Oct 20

Pitchshifter pedal
Notes: Exceptional pitch shifter with studio-grade algorithms, 4 octave dual voices and groundbreaking MASH footswitch.

With its mind-bending range and kaleidoscopic pitch effects, the studio-grade BRAINWAVES PITCH SHIFTER is the perfect fusion of brains and brawn.

This pink-clad pitch professor masters a variety of polyphonic effects including whammy and detune, plus a bunch of others - thanks to the dedicated TonePrint app.

The award-winning MASH footswitch packs expression pedal performance into a pedalboard-friendly size.

Pitch-shifting mode expands your sound by adding up to two extra voices and letting you decide whether these voices go above or below the original signal.

Just imagine - the solo from "Owner of a Lonely Heart" never sounded so huge.

And since BRAINWAVES is polyphonic, you can use it on your standard-tuned guitar for a wide range of rock-solid sharp or flat tunings - without detuning the actual instrument.

With separate voices pitched in either direction, the polyphonic algorithm lets you easily process pitch-shifted chords, riffs, and furious flurries of single-notes. Since each voice is adjustable from unison to two octaves up or down (and anything in between), BRAINWAVES has more range than an interstellar battle cruiser. You can quickly create custom pitch settings via the free TonePrint app to find or expand your own pitch personality.

Whammy mode packs a powerful fistful of sonic punch. With 2 individually programmable voices, you can instantly go from nice and sweet, to a 2-octave, dive bomb explosion - just by MASHing the footswitch.

Detune mode lets you widen your sound for a more open, sweet and dynamic tone. Unlike most chorus effects, detuning plays really well with complex chord voicings, even those drenched in distortion.

BRAINWAVES also nails the squeaky clean, watery '80s tones we all know and love. Or slap on some dirt and dial up a shallow detune for the secret thickening agent from Van Halen's post-1984 tone. MASH down the footswitch for an extra dose of instant detune goodness; the Mix knob lets you blend in just the right amount of effect, keeping your sound balanced - even at extreme settings!

The BRAINWAVES PITCH SHIFTER features groundbreaking new technology that brings a wide range of creative expression to the party, controlled solely by how much pressure you apply to the depressed footswitch.

Years in the making, and only available in select TC Electronic products, this clever innovation elevates the common footswitch well above rather mundane duties, such as "On" and "Off". More importantly - MASH elevates your performance to the next level.

TonePrint means signature effects - and signature effects means truly creative tones.

With optimized headroom, True Bypass or Buffered Bypass switch and Kill-Dry on/off, this pedal guarantees optimal tonal integrity and zero loss of tone. And, no matter if the pedal is on or off your precious dry sound is always passed through the pedal unharmed in all it's pure analog glory due to an Analog-Dry-Through.

Download the free TonePrint app for Android and iPhone, choose the TonePrint you want to hear and beam it instantly from your phone through your guitar's pickup into your TonePrint pedal. No cables needed!

TC Electronic El Cambo Overdrive Pedal
Cat: 669379 Rel: 21 Oct 20

Classic tube overdrive pedal with intuitive 3-knob interface for essential blues rock tones
Notes: As far as versatile and ubiquitous effects go, an overdrive emulating a pushed tube amp is number one.

El Cambo will fatten up your tone with some extra girth around the waist, giving you that highly sought-after mid-range "oomph" that cuts through the mix when your band is pushing decibels.

This particular gritty mid-range honk gives the guitar a certain vocal quality that is ideal for a singing blues solo but also works formidably in a hard rock setting as a lead boost on top of an already overdriven sound.

- Vintage all-analog overdrive
- True Bypass
- Built like a tank

A Mountain of Mids:
El Cambo Overdrive features a distinct mid-range boost when engaged. This can help warm up a tone that's a bit too jangly to cut through a loud rhythm section and also gives a certain vocal quality to a lead guitar sound.

With its symmetrical clipping overdrive circuit, the harmonic saturation is very fluid and musical sounding.

Boost Into Epic Solo-Mode:
With plenty of gain and boost on tap, El Mocambo can be tailored to work in almost any setting.

From just a bit of push to your preamp and a subtle warmth to your tone to a screaming overdrive with singing sustain and girth, El Cambo gets you there.

From blistering Texas blues, soulful pop ballads to classic rock riffs - El Mocambo fits right in.

Built for the road:
Made from a sturdy metal housing, this all-analog overdrive will last for years and years without losing that warm tube saturation tone.

Top mounted jacks are convenient and ingenious way to save pedal board space and keeps cable clutter to a minimum and true bypass keeps your signal nice and clean.

TC Electronic Quintessence Harmonizer Pedal
Cat: 668374 Rel: 20 Oct 20

Harmonizer effects pedal for guitar, with TonePrint support & MASH footswitch
Notes: QUINTESSENCE HARMONY is a state-of-the-art intelligent harmonizer pedal that features expressive MASH technology and powerful TonePrint editing. Capable of beefing up your playing in any musical style from country or southern rock harmonies to Thin Lizzy-esque twin riffs and screaming metal leads, QUINTESSENCE follows your every whim with perfectly harmonized notes in a wide variety of modes and scales. With MASH, QUINTESSENCE can bend the harmonized notes without you moving a finger, momentarily harmonize just a few bars or notes and with our proprietary TonePrint technology you can even choose exotic scales and custom intervals for harmonies. Complex as it may sound, QUINTESSENCE sounds simply stunning - and its intuitive and straightforward design makes it easy to use.

QUINTESSENCE features a MASH footswitch giving you a powerful expressive tool without taking up any extra pedalboard real estate. By default the MASH switch has been assigned to bend your harmonized note up to the next interval within the scale but in TonePrint mode, you can assign MASH to control just about any aspect of the pedal including custom scale steps - both above and below the original harmony. This not only makes the QUINTESSENCE much more versatile as you can switch between two different intervals mid-song without having to fiddle with knobs, but it also lets you do fluid pedal steel bends worthy of the greasiest Nashville honky-tonks out there.

QUINTESSENCE quickly and easily lets you toggle between standard latch mode and momentary mode for spontaneously improvised harmonizing on the spot. This is useful when you need a little extra something in the last bar of your solo for dramatic effect or for riffs where you want an emphasis on a certain note or beat. If the boys are back in town and you know you're going to be playing long harmonized riffs and want to move around the stage a bit, set QUINTESSENCE to latch mode and run to the hills! And don't worry - MASH works in either setting.

If you don't feel like using one of the seven preset diatonic modes commonly used, the Custom scale mode lets you load in whichever flavor of tonality you want your harmonies to follow. When QUINTESSENCE is not in TonePrint mode the Custom mode is set for Locrian. Using the 3 TonePrint slots however, you can set it to a wealth of different custom scales. Feeling major pentatonic or harmonic minor today? Have at it, Hoss!

Bass compressor pedal
Notes: SPECTRACOMP BASS COMPRESSOR is the tiniest big thing to hit the world of bass in a long time. This ultra-compact and highly intuitive multiband compressor, is made to bring out all of the glorious low-end punch and presence of your beloved bass in the most transparent and musical way you've ever heard. Just turn it on and take charge of the groove.

Studio-quality multiband compressor - perfectly tuned for bass
TonePrint enabled
Ultra-small footprint

The magic of multiband bass compression was first introduced in TC's innovative RH-series bass amps, which made dialing in super-smooth compression an absolute breeze. With SPECTRACOMP BASS COMPRESSOR the simplistic one-knob approach from the amps was kept, while greatly improving the compression algorithm. This gives you access to studio-quality compression tones, in a stompbox so small that you can't afford not to have it on your board.

SPECTRACOMP BASS COMPRESSOR contains the same high-quality MD3 dynamics engine known from TC's studio production powerhouse, System 6000. A dynamics engine that has been used on countless hit-records and massive blockbuster movie productions. This advanced algorithm applies perfectly tweaked compression for your high, mid and low frequencies to create a more unified and balanced sound where your low strings never overtake your highs, something that's simply not possible with the one-size-fits-all compression known from a typical stompbox. This way you'll get a tight and punchy attack, with endless sustain all without ever compromising the natural low-end response of your bass.

Picture SPECTRACOMP BASS COMPRESSOR as an ice cream. It's smooth, delicious and easy to love. But maybe you want to super-pimp your ice cream with cherries, chocolate sauce and sprinkles shaped like unicorns? You want to make that tone-sundae your own. This is where TonePrint comes into play. Via the free editor you can customize your own compression tone through a wealth of deep editing parameters, so it suits your rig perfectly. You can also try on custom pre-made tones via the free app for Android and iOS. Tone tweaking just leveled up.

TC Electronic Tube Pilot Overdrive Pedal
Cat: 672129 Rel: 20 Oct 20

Compact, 12AX7-equipped, real tube overdrive pedal
Notes: Nothing beats the classic 12AX7 vacuum tube when it comes to delivering soul-searching guitar tone; that's why it's a mainstay in musical instrument amplifier design. TUBE PILOT OVERDRIVE is highly maneuverable and powerful enough to satisfy any guitar ace with a burning need for tone. Equipped with a genuine, handpicked 12AX7, TUBE PILOT injects your sound with the organic, touch sensitive saturation of a vintage tube amp that dares you to push it over the edge.

12AX7 tube-powered overdrive
All-analog circuitry
True Bypass

Unlike those pretend "tube" overdrive pedals, TUBE PILOT OVERDRIVE isn't just a facsimile of a tube preamp being pushed into distortion - it's an old school tube preamp being pushed into true natural distortion. Inside the pedal, you'll find the very same 12AX7 tube that has been used in a host of vintage and iconic guitar amps. By adjusting the Gain knob on the pedal, you control how hard the tube is working, from barely breaking a sweat - to kicking in the afterburners!

The tone and feel you get from TUBE PILOT OVERDRIVE is exactly the same as what you'd get from a tube amp. It's extremely-touch sensitive, and reacts to how you attack the strings, allowing you to use picking dynamics to seamlessly go between fat blues tones to rich, grinding rock sounds. Pick the strings softly for a warm and clean tone, or hit 'em hard for an organic bite with incredible warmth and sustain.

Housed in a rugged, high quality metal enclosure to protect the tube circuitry, TUBE PILOT OVERDRIVE will serve you reliably around town - or on the road. Operating performance is ultra-quiet, and the true bypass technology maintains the integrity of your tone when the pedal is off.
