Fuzz grinder pedal
Notes: The Cloven Hoof is the Hoof's evil twin. It looks a lot like the Hoof, only more, um . . . Cloven.

The tightness and clarity you loved about the Hoof has been kept, along with the wide range of fuzz sounds, and the rest was thrown away. NOS Germanium transistors? Nope! In their place, a set of four specially selected Silicon transistors were installed for cleaner cleans, higher gain, improved temperature stability, and a grittier, grindier, nastier fuzz tone with over 4x the gain of the original Hoof. The key resistors were replaced with with NOS Carbon Comp components to sprinkle a little bit of vintage flavor into the Cloven Hoof's searing fuzz fury. It's like they always say, "In with the old, out with the new".

The Tone and Shift controls remain intact, only now they're re-voiced for a smoother sweep, and more precise control over the Cloven Hoof's beefy low-end. Speaking of low-end, have you heard this thing on bass? Wow. Try the Cloven Hoof on a bass guitar. Seriously- you can still cut or boost the mids, and there's still a metric ton of output on tap, just do us a favor, and for the love of all that's Cloven, play this pedal with a bass guitar.

Reverb pedal

This creepy analog/digital spring reverb emulation machine boasts a terrifying 30ms - 150ms of pre-delay, controllable via the Attack knob, for everything from a quick rockabilly slapback to viscous pools of ectoplasmic reverberations. When playing staccato, you'll hear the tortured trails of the reverb, resulting in more of a slapback or echo sound. Legato playing will reveal a massive ambient "depth" that fattens up the sound - and look out, it's right behind you!

Phew, that was close. The Dwell control sets the length and thickness of the decay, which is to say that it controls how long the disembodied spirits of notes no longer with us float through the ether. At the maximum setting it will descend into an infinite loop of self-oscillation. The Depth sets the intensity of the reverb, which you probably know as the wet/dry mix.

Controls:
1. Attack: Adjusts the length of the pre-delay, from 30ms at minimum to about 150ms at maximum. When the Dwell is set to self-oscillate, this will change the pitch of the oscillations.

2. Dwell: Adjusts the length of the decay. This will start to self oscillate around 3 O'clock, the pitch of the oscillations can be changed by turning the Attack control.

3. Depth: Mixes in the wet signal with the dry, unity is around noon and everything after is boosted.

Phase machine pedal
Notes: Grand Orbiter is a 4 stage OTA-based phaser with a diverse feature set that can go from stationary and resonant to slow and mellow and on through fast and swirly. It has three way toggle switch to select between the ranges of modulation. The master Rate control fine tunes the speed of the LFO in each of these modes and the flashing red LED acts as a visual indicator, even when the effect is in bypass mode. The Depth control blends the shifted signal in with the dry signal and controls the intensity of the effect. The Sweep control governs the peak frequency of the phased signal's tone, turned full clockwise the sweep is lively and intense, whereas turning counter clockwise yields a darker, more laid back peak. The Resonance provides a wide range of control over regeneration and at higher settings adds a more pronounced and resonant tone. You can also use the Grand Orbiter as a true pitch vibrato with the "Phase/Vibrato" switch. When in "Vibrato" mode, the dry signal is removed and the Depth controls acts as a volume control. This pedal is 100% analog, true bypass and built by entirely by hand in beachy Akron, Ohio.

1. Sweep: Controls the frequency peak of the sweep. Higher peak clockwise, lower peak counter clockwise.

2. Rate 1,2,3: Changes the range of the speed control. Rate 1 is slow mode, Rate 2 is LFO kill to use the Orbiter as a fixed resonant filter, Rate 3 is fast mode.

3. Rate: Controls the speed of the LFO. Faster clockwise, slower counterclockwise.

4. Depth: Controls the amount of phase effect mixed with dry signal. Clockwise for more intense phasing, counterclockwise for less. In "Vibrato" mode, this acts as a volume control.

5. Phase/Vibrato: Cuts the dry signal to create a vibe/vibrato effect depending on the setting of the other controls. Vibrato is created by turning the resonance down low.

6. Resonance: Controls the regeneration of the phased signal. More resonant clockwise, more subtle counterclockwise.

Notes: The Organizer is a polyphonic organ emulator designed to mimic the organ tones of yesteryear crossed with the highly unique "Guitorgan". The EBS OctaBass was the first effect unit ever made by EBS. It is famous for fast and accurate tracking and a fat, natural sound. Polyphonic pitch shifter effects pedal, transposes over a +/- three octave range
Notes: The Pitch Fork transposes an instrument's pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

The controls are straightforward and intuitive. An 11-position Shift switch selects the maximum transposition interval ranging from D (Detune), a shift of 17 cents, through Minor 2nd, Major 2nd, Major 3rd, Perfect 4th, Perfect 5th, Major 6th, Minor 7th, 1 Octave, 2 Octaves and 3 Octaves. A three position toggle switch controls whether the pitch is transposed up, down or both. In Dual mode, two pitch-shifted signals are output. One follows the shift knob as if in the Up position while the other creates a harmony. Dual Mode settings include M3 up + P5 up, P5 up + 1 Oct down, 1 Oct up + 1 Oct down and many others. A Blend knob controls the mix of the dry signal and the effected signal, and an EXP jack enables the player to control pitch and glissando with an expression pedal.

The Latch button selects Latch or Momentary mode which affects how the footswitch and EXP input behave. In Latch mode, the footswitch toggles between effect on and buffered bypass each time it's pressed and the EXP input continuously varies pitch. In Momentary mode the effect is only on while the footswitch is depressed and when it is released the Pitch Fork goes into bypass.

In Latch mode the EXP input controls pitch shift amount, ranging from unity to the interval set by the Shift knob, and pitch varies continuously throughout the expression pedal's range. In Momentary mode the EXP input controls glissando rate for the Pitch Fork's footswitch. When the bypass footswitch is pressed, the Pitch Fork jumps from bypass to the interval set by the Shift knob. The amount of time it takes to reach that new note is the glissando rate. When the footswitch is released the pitch will return to unity at the same rate. That glissando time can vary between 4 milliseconds to two seconds depending on the heel/toe position of the expression pedal. The default glissando rate is 60 milliseconds when nothing is plugged into the EXP input.

The Pitch Fork comes equipped with an EHX 9.6DC-200mA power supply and also runs on a 9Volt battery.

Notes: The OCD has received many slight tweaks since its birth in 2004, often incorrectly identified as version 2, Version 3, Version 4. In reality there has always been only one version- Version 1, with very slight variations in a couple of values after that making them V1.0 through V1.8. On 6/15/2017 we released a new OCD, different enough that it warrants a V2 designation, an explanation, and a trip to your favorite dealer to give it another listen. Not a subtle change when turned on- not a subtle change when turned off (in E.B. mode).

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

NEW FEATURE: output buffer (when pedal is turned on in True-Bypass mode, or always when in Enhanced Bypass mode) which eliminates it from being influenced by effects that came after it. Translation, your sound remains consistent regardless of placement in today's more complex signal-chains, loopers, and pedalboards. This buffer also had a positive effect on the sound, it reduced loading on the pedal's hard-clipping stage, allowing more sustain of both the sound and the overtones.

NEW FEATURE: Class A configured discrete 2N5457 JFET input section, raising the input impedance to 1 mega ohms (previously 330K) and increasing the dynamics- resulting in significantly better interaction with both single coil and humbuckers.

NEW FEATURE Internal switch to choose between Enhanced Bypass & True-Bypass, and with no popping sound in either mode. No other company offers EB invented it.

Notes: The Clockable LFO brings multiple waveforms, CV control, subdivisions, and wave symmetry in a simple, user friendly package. LFO speed can be controlled by the tap tempo pushbutton, clock input, or over-sized Speed knob. There are three waveforms that can be selected by toggle and further modified by the Level and Symmetry knob. The Symmetry knob shifts the wave form from a symmetrical wave to a ramp up or ramp down waveform (or when using square wave, acts a pulse width control). Clock In and Clock Out for syncing with other devices. All knobs on the Clockable LFO can be manipulated with CV. As with all Hungry Robot "Modular Boxes" the Clockable LFO can be powered with a simple 9V DC, Negative Center power supply.

-SPEED: Sets the overall speed of the LFO. Turning this knob will override any tap or clocked tempo. This control is still affected by subdivision.
-LEVEL: Sets the level of the LFO output. Ranges from 0-10V peak-to-peak
-SYMMETRY: Sets the symmetry of the waveform. Shifting from ramp-down to ramp-up on triangle and sin waves. Adjusts pulse width on square.

-SUBDIVISIONS: Selects subdivisions (x1,x2,#2). Automatically converts LFO speed.
-WAVESHAPE: Selects the waveshape of the LFO output (Sin, Triangle, Square)

Notes: The Lumen is a State Variable FET-Based Overdrive. It marks a return to the overdrive world for Hungry Robot Pedals.

Under the hood, it contains an active State Variable Filter, a type of filter that is common place in the synth world. State Variable Filters offer more clarity and presence than standard passive tonestacks. A typical passive tonestack works by removing tonal content, a State Variable Filter works by actively amplifying frequencies that are already present in your signal. The filter is actually made up of 3 individual filters (low pass, band pass, high pass) that split the incoming signal into 3 frequency ranges and amplifies those ranges without tone loss.

While designing The Lumen, Hungry Robot challenged themselves to create an overdrive that used no diode clipping. The most common approach for an overdrive is to send an amplified signal into a clipping section where diodes chop up the waveform and distortion is create. I opted for a more natural approach of cascading FET gain stages. The distortion is created by soaking the transistors with gain. To me, this method provides a more organic, tube-like saturation than a clipping section.

And to top it all off, The Lumen also has a clean blend, allowing you to mix back in some of your clean tone. At 12 o'clock, the clean signal is near unity gain. Past 12 o'clock, it amplifies your clean signal.

Knobs:

"Drive"- Sets the gain level on the first FET stage. It is normal for the knob to crackle when turned.

"Clean" - Sets the level of the clean blend. Past 12 o'clock is boost.

"Level" - Sets the volume of the drive signal.

"H.P" - Sets the level of the high pass filter.

"B.P" - Sets the level of the band pass filter.

"L.P" - Sets the level of the low pass filter.

The Toggle Switch
The three most popular reverb styles that don't come built into your amplifier are Room, Plate and Hall. In the smallest footprint possible, we offer what used to take up a recording studio room or an entire city block. You can achieve cathedral resonance, enormous surface areas of sheet-metal plate sounds or convincing room decays. Room sizes range from something like a broom closet to that of a barn. (Also, careful adjustments to the Room settings yield a signal bordering on the verge of spring reverb, so if your amp doesn't already have a tank, the Aurora pedal has you covered.)

Decay
Decay controls the amount of time it takes for the reverberated sound to disappear. The Aurora pedal provides a range from a realistic, close-quarters reverberated dimension to a "walk-away-and-come- back in a while" signal of complex, still-ringing musical reflections.

Slapback
Otherwise known as "pre-delay". Pre-delay creates distance. How soon or late you hear the first reflection is crucial to crafting the reverberated space. Sometimes you do not want any delay between your note and the reverb. And sometimes, for clarity's sake, you want the reverb to wait a moment before joining the dry signal. Such a setting enables short, staccato, single-syllable type expressions to finish articulating before being suffused AND joined by the tail-end of previously reverberated sounds. The Slapback setting adjusts from zero to 100 milliseconds. When the illusion of infinite space is required, set your Slapback to zero and you'll streak vividly away like Dr. David Bowman breaking free of Jupiter's gravitational pull.

Warmth
Dial up the warmth. Unlike most tone controls, ours is a dampening control and increases the warmth, as it is rolled up. Its brightest setting is when completely dialed down.

Blend
Blend will take your 100% analog dry signal and blend in the reverb, from just the slightest mix of wet to much more. It is recommended that you place it at the end of your pedal chain and use the Blend Knob to tailor your sound.

Yes, there is a wide range of 1960s Plexi Amp Tone in terms of power, which tubes are installed, which speakers and/or cabinet is used, but the El Rey Dorado hits the core tone bullseye! One of the many reference points for the tone was the JTM 45/100r full stack. The Hooke Spring Reverb begins with a Spring Reverb mode. The main features of this mode include the Tone and Spring controls. The Tone control allows you to work within the range of bright and spanky to dark and thick. The Spring control is the amount "looseness" or "Sproing!" in the reverb pan. Loose springs seem to generate a lot of reflections, and you can hear the reverb "bounce." With the Hooke, you can simulate a specific reverb pan of a vintage amp, two-springs, three-springs, short, medium, long decay ... it's all in there. Keeley have EQ'd and filtered the sound to not only be tube-like, also crafted a tonal modification that makes for a deep, throbbing tremolo. By adjusting the bias of the output tubes for the volume tremolo, you also dip the volume of the reverb. A special recipe has been created in which the reverb washes over the tremolo texture just a little thickened in order to craft a tone that is truly magical.

Keeley Magnetic Echo Delay Vintage "Tape Echo" Style Delay Pedal

Notes: The Mag-Echo pedal simulates tube tape echo sounds by using the delay circuit and a little bit of modulation. Tape echos have long been regarded as a warm and very guitar friendly form of delay. The Mag-Echo achieves similar results by using a touch of Lo-Fi delay, a slightly filtered echo response to keep things warm, and some modulation. Modulation, or "Wow and Flutter" in the tape world is a slight pitch shift or wavering that occurs as the tape is pulled across the heads. The modulation used is similar to what is uses in Keeley's Seafoam Chorus, a slight wavering of pitch on the trails of the repeats. With a simple set of controls for the delay Time, Regen, and Level and with the "Wow and Flutter" controls - Depth and Rate you can create some very vintage or rather unique tones.

Delay Time - This Time control roughly sets the length between your repeats between 40ms and 600ms. This range is well suited for classic, vintage delay sounds that are great for slap-back or medium length delay times.

Regen - This control sets the number of repeats. You can set this for a single slap back echo or turn it up for a runaway, self-oscillating or self-regenerating echoes. (Now go back and twist the Time control for some crazy sounds!)

Delay Level - The Level control is your mix, how loud you want to hear the echoes.

WOW AND FLUTTER CONTROLS

Depth - Turn this control to achieve deeper and deeper chorusing and pitch shifting on your echoes. As you raise the control the Depth and Rate LED will start to glow giving you a visual indication as to the amount of modulation you are applying to the repeats.

Rate - This is your Flutter control. It's another way to control how poorly your tape echo is performing! Not that any tape deck was every in this bad of condition, but it sure sounds good to have a little pitch modulation on your echo! Using these controls gives you a nice way to create unique and very musical delays.

Whether you're into Rockabilly slap-back echoes, experimental sounds, or just want a great classic rock sounding echo, the Magnetic Echo will sound great in your rig.

Keeley Electronics started to develop and produce this delay way back in 2005. But as things happened, we worked on other projects, always keeping an eye on the growing delay and echo market. We sure you will be very happy with the tone of this echo/delay/modulation effect.

It's pretty clear from this unbiased shoot-out that the Magnetic Echo wins. The delays sound more like the original and not as filtered and cut off. The modulation is more sophisticated. Price point is the same!

Both of the ECHO 600 and SUN MODE effects have a Room Reverb.

It's a one-knob, rock and roll type of room reverb.

SLAPBACK 600

Rock and Roll is the Devil's music, right? So of course, the delay time is up to 666ms to simulate some unearthly echo machine that never really existed. Filtering in the Slackback mode is done in stages. First, the response is heavily filtered at 1 kHz then compress the thing. Remember the concept: pack a bunch of sound in a small room and it compresses. Next, it's filtered again at 1 kHz ! Sounds like Rock and Roll, right? Aaron Tackett is the Rock and Roll Doctor of DSP at Keeley. Not only is he devilishly good looking, he has a way of making waves look good - adding curves, so to speak. He has added 2nd and 3rd order harmonics to this mix to simulate tape response and equipment distortions. Waves folded back on themselves. You're gonna love his curves.

Time 30-666ms m/ m/
Regen As Jack White says: "Three." Up to three repeats. Or sometimes six....
Reverb Old Rock-and-Roll Room Reverb.

Sun Mode

Let's Do it Twice Mama, It's Alright! Automatic Double Tracking (ADT) was not available in the 1950s, but it's sneaked in here because it makes a wonderful sound. And, if you lengthen the time, it goes right into slapback territory which is at the heart of Country and Rock and Roll guitar sounds. Like our Keeley 30ms, this pedal will do ADT. The Memphis Sun creates a vintage-voiced double-track in mono. Your guitar-playin' "Gemini-Twin" has a very warmed-up tone. Adjusting the Time Control lets you easily create anything from Double Tracking to Slapback with up to 180ms of delay time.

Time Delay Time is 0-180ms. For Automatic Double-Tracking set this control at the second mark or lower, 0-30ms. For slapback echo 30-180ms sounds great. The knob markers notate 0,30,60, 90, 120, 150, and 180ms
Regen Modulation for the ADT. Set to OFF for NO Rate or Depth. Increasing this control increases both the Rate and Depth of "Tape" modulation.
Reverb It's Still Rock-and-Roll Room Reverb to Me

Room

The Room Reverb simulates a small 33' by 18' asbestos-tiled room so filled with music the sounds actually get compressed- with the frequency response of the mics used back then taken into account. The RCA 77 is loosely simulated by a group of filters including a HPF = 300 Hz and LPF = 8 kHz. Many artifacts are incorporated in our room reverb. And second and third order harmonics are added to make sure it sounds just right.

Time is the Pre-Delay amount: 0-150ms of pre-delay. This allows for a slapback sound as the first reflections come into focus.
Regen is the Tone control: this is an active filter +/- 10 dB and is centered around 1.1 kHz.
Reverb is the Depth control for the reverberations.

That's What I Say Rockin' Robbin!

Notes: Many say the Phat Mod delivers their favorite tone from a pedal. It's that natural break-up that just feels good and lets you express yourself. The dynamics make it feel alive and part of your fingers. That's the reason the modified pedal has stayed on people's boards for nearly 15 years. The Keeley Super Phat Mod is the famous mod now perfected with amazing sounding JFETs that emulate old tube amps in a unique way.

The original pedal was a great design that features tube-like amp stages, tube amp tone stacks, and a variety of tone shaping circuits to bring out the best in any guitar's pickups. The problem with building one in the past has been the difficulty finding the perfect FET to capture the magic. With the Super Phat Mod, you now have all of the refinements-the very best of tone-shaping electronics and modern features like true-bypass.

The Keeley BD-2 was the first mod that had a switch. It was done to give players two modes of bass response. With the slight boost, it was called the Phat mode. It was perfect for players of Strats and Teles who wanted just a small push without being muddy. That same design is also available via the micro toggle on the Super Phat Mod. Later on Keeley released the Luna Overdrive which won a Gear of the Year award in England, and that pedal had further refinements made to it and became the Katana Blue Drive. The Katana Blues Drive still retained the active bass and treble controls but smoothed out the highs and increased the gain range slightly. That was an original design designed to meet many of the tonal characteristics of the Blues Driver. The new Super Phat Mod takes off by duplicating the Keeley Phat Mod part-for-part with the exception of the new super JFETs.

Tremolos
A Lotus Flower of Tremolos- you have three tremolos in the Keeley VoT.

R+T is an organic tube bias type tremolo. This means you hear the tube amp bias change enough to modulate the volume. A very personal and haunting tremolo. Very moody.

Mack - This mode is a MagnaAmp style pitch vibrato. Done by carefully changing the phase to elicit a silky smooth pitch shift. Sounds like you have your finger on the pulse of life. Sometimes a walk on the wild side is the way to go.

HAR - Harmonically Amplified Resonator. I made that up too. Harmonic Tremolo -two filters that we vine around, back and forth, creating a notch filter that gives you that Tower of Flower sound.

VoT - Lotus
Here's where the flowering magic occurs: you can set the VoT to be either Reverb OR Tremolo OR Both if you want. Let's say you just need some 'verb for the night, simply reduce the Depth control! Reverb Purity.

What if you want to use the tremolo only? Simply roll off the Reverb control.

This pedal can simply and easily be reborn into any combination of tones you need.

Phaser Modulated Reverb. Maybe the most mild but in a way that lets you appreciate some of the space around notes.
