Notes: The AKG H30 is a very effective multi-purpose elastic suspension for microphones of 15mm to 33mm diameter.

Virtually impervious to any amount of stage and floor borne noise and is suitable for straight or conically shaped microphone bodies. The H 30 includes clips in order to provide a degree of immunity from vibrations in the cable itself. Odd shaped microphones can be accommodated as the straps length can be varied.

Notes: The H85 suspension mount fits C2000B/C3000B/C414.

For the new C 414 B-XLS and C 414 B-XL II microphones, AKG designed a new shock mount that differs from the familiar H 100 as follows:

The outside ring has been reduced in diameter from 120mm to 100mm
The color has been changed from black to dark gray
The clamping range has been increased from 22-26mm to 19-26mm to accommodate microphones with cylindrical or conical bodies or connectors including, e.g., the AKG Blue Line and ULS Series.

The H 85 shock mount keeps a lower profile than the H 100 and therefore looks better on the microphone.

The H 85 also matches several other AKG studio microphones, e.g., the C 2000 B, C 3000 B, and C 4000 B.

At present, the only microphones including an H 85 shock mount as a standard accessory are the C 414 B-XLS and C 414 B-XL II.

Notes: The AKG ST 45 is a low profile microphone stand with off-center mount and rubber shock mount feet. The ST 45 is ideal for desktop use in sound reinforcement applications like conferencing, presentations, lectures etc. This stand will mount all microphones with 3/8" stand mounts.

Notes: The AKG ST 46 is a heavy duty table stand compatible with any stand adapter, making it perfect for recording conferences, interviews, or round-table discussions.

The ST 46 is also good for positioning kick drum mics such as the AKG D 112 or amplifier mics, like the AKG C 3000 B. A microphone clip is not included.

Notes: Made to offer the wind attenuation properties of a full sized windshield in a much smaller package, the Baby Ball Gags are designed to slip onto the body of the microphone. This allows the microphone to be hand-held or shock-mounted with a Lyre suspension.

Perfect for short microphones, the Baby Ball Gags are suitable for low-profile boom applications as well as for use in hand-held operations and interviews. They are widely used for microphones with bulbous ends and ORTF microphone pairs, where the maximum head diameter is 80mm.

The windshield is constructed of the same material as the full size modular windshields, but rather than clipping to a microphone suspension, the Ball Gag is mounted directly on the microphone, by a grommet gripping the microphone body. The microphone is pushed through the grommet, to completely enclose the microphone capsule.

The Ball Gag consists of 2 halves, which can be separated, to fit microphones with a ball-head or tapered body from inside the windshield. For additional wind protection a furry Windjammer cover is available. It is suitable for microphones with 21mm shank diameter.

The Baseball is fitted with a soft yet durable end-cap. Made of thermoplastic elastomer - a unique plastic and rubber mix - the end-cap helps secure the mic and provides an effective seal against wind. The Baseball comes in '19/20' and '24/25' variants, reflecting compatible microphone diameters in mm.

Notes: The INV Lite is the new addition to the Rycote InVision range of boom shock mounts. Specifically designed for popular short-shotgun microphones, for indoor boom pole recordings, the unique 'cam-lever' design grips the mic at its rear without covering the interference tube slots. This allows for easy use of a foam windscreen, without the need to modify or cut the foam first.

The 21mm version fits the Schoeps MiniCMIT.

An InVision set contains two Lyre, an appropriate length mounting bar, and in some cases, a reducing sleeve (InVision INV-4). The Lyre suspension webs of our InVision come in two sizes: - InVision Lyre width: 43 mm - Standard Lyre width: 70 mm Mounting bars come in two sizes: - Standard length: 25 mm - Large length: 70 mm The reducing sleeve allows for smaller microphones (e.g. Schoeps CCM series) to be held by the Lyre.

Notes: The Rycote 044901 InVision USM is a universal studio microphone isolation mount which uses the innovative Lyre technology. The Lyre suspension uses no runner or elastic components to isolate the microphone from unwanted shocks and handling noises, instead the design of the shape allows a specific compliance to the microphone, and so prevents the handling noise reaching the capsule. The materials used within the Lyres allow the working temperature of the suspension to far exceed any elastic or rubber shock mount or suspension. The operating temperatures for the lyres is quite extreme and ranges from minus 35- celcius to over 100- celcius. The USM uses 72 shore hardness black Lyres.

The microphone is held in place with four adjustable thumb screws which have swivelling non slip pads on the end, making it possible to support microphones with a body diameter of 18mm to 50mm, and weights of between 400g and 750g. For microphones less than 400g in weight a lightweight version is available called the InVision USM-L, which uses the 62 shore hardness red Lyres. The main support hoop attaches to a stand via a swivelling spigot with integral thumb screw enabling the user to adjust the microphone angle to suit. It comes supplied with a 3/8" to 5/8" thread adaptor.

Notes: For several years, Rycote InVision mounts have been available for narrow-barrelled shotgun and stick microphones in broadcast and videography applications, but not until 2010, and the release of the striking Universal Studio Mount (USM) was there an InVision shock-mount capable of accommodating large-diaphragm recording microphones for use in recording studios.

Like the other InVision mounts, the USM makes use of Rycote's patented vibration-resistant Lyre mount, but on this mount the W-shaped Lyres are placed around a central mounting ring with adjustable fasteners, allowing the USM to accommodate any microphone with a diameter of between 18 and 68 millimetres.

The Rycote USM updates the concept of the microphone suspension for the 21st century, completely omitting any elasticated parts and using modern materials to create a virtually indestructible shock-mount with a performance that far outstrips that of the humble cat's cradle suspension. In controlled tests at the Rycote factory, the USM provided up to twice the isolation of traditional microphone suspension systems.

The existing InVision USM can be used to mount microphones from 18 to 55mm in diameter, and thus accommodates most studio recording microphones, but the new InVision USM-VB will hold the broadest large-diaphragm models from 55mm to 68mm.

Notes: The Rycote 045 005 InVision USM-VB Studio Kit comprises of an InVision Universal Pop Filter (available separately as Rycote 045001) and a Universal Studio Mount (available separately as Rycote 044912).

The InVision Universal Pop Filter (045001) is a pop shield for optimising vocal recordings. It utilises a custom foam mesh that is capable of attenuating low-frequency vocal pops and thumps by up to 20 dB. Unlike most ordinary nylon pop shields the InVision Universal Pop Filter achieves the low-frequency attenuation without causing audibly detectable high-frequency loss.

Featuring an ergonomic frame, the pop filter is designed for placement at a close proximity to the mouth and face of a vocal artist. The custom manufactured acoustic foam mesh filter can be removed for cleaning and replacement foam inserts are also available (sold separately).
