MIDI converters & accessories

For any hardware studio, MIDI accessories are essential to help connect all your synths, drum machines and other gear. Brands like Kenton and MIDI Solutions offer a range of thru boxes, mergers and patchbays to help keep everything connected and in sync. Simple MIDI thru boxes split one incoming signal into multiple outputs, while mergers mix multiple incoming signals. More advanced patchbays allow you to route signals around multiple inputs and outputs, switching routings at the touch of a button. You’ll also find MIDI clock generators from E-RM, offering rock-solid timing when used as the main clock to control all your MIDI gear.

ERM Multiclock Desktop Sync Clock Device With USB (B-STOCK)
Cat: 1000441 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Item refurbished, box damaged but in perfect working order.
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Item refurbished, box damaged but in perfect working order.***

Professional Sync:
The multiclock solves your sync issues in the studio and on stage once and for all.
Synchronisation of the multiclock to a DAW relies on a sample accurate audio clock stream, which in consequence guarantees absolutely tight clock signals with i1 sample of jitter.
Moreover, you can use it as a standalone generator or hook it up to follow other MIDI, DIN or analog master clocks.

Shift & Shuffle:
To compensate for any time lag of connected gear, you can shift each output channel individually and in realtime back and forth relative to the master clock.
The shift range is completely configurable and has a maximum of i400ms, the resolution is 20us.
If you have set your machines up to be on the spot, start playing with shuffle. Again, individually for each channel and in realtime.

Midi, Din, Modular & LFO:
Each channel can be set to either emit MIDI Clock, DIN sync (sync24) or analog clock.
Analog clock signals are configurable in polarity, start/reset behaviour and feature a flexible clock divider. An analog LFO is available with various waveforms and a range of 0-5V.
If you got them configured, channel settings can always be named and saved as a preset for later recall. Just in case you have a lot of gear.

USB Add-On
If you want, you can have your multiclock with an extra class-compliant USB Midi Add-On.
This enables you to send any MIDI commands from a DAW to your connected slaves while syncing to audio clock.
There is one virtual MIDI output for each channel and all commands are priority-merged with the accurate clock.

Floatingpoint Instruments Multiclock Desktop Sync Clock Device With USB
Cat: 960588 Rel: 06 Sep 23

Professionally sync all your electronic instruments and software.
Notes: The continuation of the ultra-precise E-RM Multiclock, from one of its co-inventors. Rock solid clock generation to sync your hardware, DAW and other software.

Supplier's Notes:
Professionally sync all your electronic Instruments and Software.

Any clock input

The multiclock can be the main clock generator or synced to external MIDI, DIN sync and Analogue clocks. Synchronization of the multiclock to a DAW relies on a sample accurate audio clock, which allows for rock solid sync signals.

Custom outputs

The multiclock has four outputs. Each channel can be set to either emit MIDI, DIN sync or analogue clock. Analogue clock signals are configurable in polarity and start/reset behavior and individual clock dividers are available.

Shift & shuffle

To compensate for any time lag of your connected gear, you can shift each of the four output channels individually and in realtime back and forth relative to the reference clock. If you then have found the sweet spot, you can add a bit of shuffle.

MIDI router

To become the central connection hub of your setup, a powerful MIDI Router is available. It allows you to route and merge other MIDI data from four USB MIDI ports and the onboard MIDI In with the accurate clock signals.

Professional DAW integration

VST, AU & AAX plugins
Synchronization of the multiclock to a DAW relies on a sample accurate audio clock stream, which in consequence guarantees absolutely tight clock signals with i1 sample of jitter. No drifting involved, everything on the grid. VST, AU and AAX plugins for all major DAWs are provided, or you create your own sync loop with our sample.

Plenty of modular features

Clocks, Dividers, Triggers and LFO

You can configure the modular clock output mode in every possible way: choose the polarities of the signals, select the start or reset behaviour for each channel individually and set clock dividers. There is also an analogue LFO available with various waveforms and optional frequency quantization to connect to the Eurorack world.

Sync your (vintage) gear...

MIDI, DIN Sync & Tape

Sync all your drummachines, grooveboxes, sequencers, arpeggiators and effects with a stable MIDI Clock or DIN sync/sync24 signal. Midronome MIDI Master Clock & Metronome
Cat: 963545

MIDI master clock and metronome.
Notes: EEffortless and reliable MIDI synchronisation.

Set the tempo on your MIDI devices, modular synths, your daw and use the built-in metronome with live musicians.
At the core, the Midronome is a MIDI Master Clock, that means it will set the tempo on your MIDI gear like synths, sequencers, drum machines, Ableton, guitar pedals, etc.

Live, it will sync acoustic musicians as well with its built-in metronome in time with the sequencers.

In the studio it will solve any sync issue you might have, by syncing tightly your DAW and your outboard gear together.

It has two CV/Analog outputs for your Modular gear like Euro-racks, which can also be used a DIN (sync24) clock output for your vintage synths.

The function

So damn easy to use

Plug 3 cables and you're ready to play. Your sequencers and drum machines will automatically start in time. Change the configuration with a few clicks directly on the device.

Tons of possibilities

Customize the Midronome so it fits your setup. Choose the click sound, the speed of your CV signal, the pedals' function, the play button behavior, even the brightness of the LEDs.

Ready for live

Big display, to stay in control on the dark stage. Large metal knob and buttons that light up. Sturdy steel metal case. Special locked Mode to prevent accidental changes.

Fast and responsive

Press a button, turn a knob, or power it up, the Midronome responds instantaneously, you will never have to wait.

Tap tempo in five ways

Turn the knob, tap the button, use a drum pad, a pedal or simply send an audio sync signal - pick what fits your setup.

Ultra stable clock

No more sync issues with a jitter-free MIDI clock. Measured jitter of under 10ns, 50000 times more precise than a computer-based MIDI Clock.

The connectivity

Midronome's back

MIDI/DIN/CV/analogue clock

Whatever clock signal your equipment needs, Midronome has got you covered.

Headphones/LINE out

Send the audio click to headphones directly, or send a balanced line-level signal to your in-ears mixer.

USB powered

Avoid the classic "oh no I forgot the power plug!", just get any USB cable and plug it in a phone charger, a computer, or whatever you have handy.

Pedal / drum pad input
Connect 2 pedals to control Mute, Play, or Tap Tempo. Replace one pedal with a drum pad to tap both tempo and time signature.

Sync DAW over audio

Get your software and hardware in sync with one simple audio track in your DAW. Send the signal to the Midronome's input, and your DAW will control your Midronome, both tempo and time signature at sample rate precision.

Independent MIDI ports

Start or stop your devices independently on each port, using either two buttons or two pedals. Need more ports? Connect a MIDI powered Thru box, or even add more Midronomes to expand while keeping the same remarkable precision.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors MTET MIDI To Expression Translator Utility Device
Cat: 949873 Rel: 16 Jun 23

MIDI to expression translator utility device.
Notes: Realizing matching gaps in the market and their friends' workflows, Old Blood Noise Endeavors unveils their newest utility device, the MIDI to Expression Translator (MTET). MTET is a simple device for complex workflows.

It receives MIDI CC messages and turns them into expression outputs, allowing players to unlock MIDI control over their expression-enabled devices.

Where once there was only a foot, now there is envelope control, LFO control, snapping to preset positions: any MIDI shape can express an OBNE (or similar) device.

Language is hard: let's start at the start. Communication is complex, beautiful a real thorn in our sides. Many languages, dialects, standards. Some similar, some vastly different. A linear sweep, a barrage of Bits.

Music, of course, is meant to be the universal language, but Old Blood Noise Endeavors' devices don't see it that way.

The MIDI To Expression Translator (MTET) does exactly what it says on the tin. It receives MIDI messages from external MIDI devices and uses those MIDI messages to create four separate Expression outputs for use with external expression enabled devices.

MTET uses a 50k digital pot, wired for TRS connection with the tip active (connected to the wiper). It is assumed the external expression-enabled unit will apply to the sleeve and reference voltage to the ring. It is configured to communicate with other devices using this standard. Its primary purpose is to interface with Old Blood Noise Endeavors pedals and serve as a communicator between them and a MIDI controller. However, it will work with many other units that use the same expression setup as OBNE.

SoMa Laboratory Metaconformer Modular MIDI Processor
Cat: 990844 Rel: 09 Jan 24

Smart MIDI router & thru box
Notes: Another typically creative offering from the good people at Soma, the Metaconformer is a MIDI router and thru box with some nice touches, including Combiner mode to join monophonic instruments into one big polyphonic patch.

Supplier's Notes:
METACONFORMER is a smart MIDI router and thru box.

The METACONFORMER has 2 independent MIDI inputs and 4 MIDI outputs. One of the outputs can be configured as a sync signal source.

Today METACONFORMER supports 3 modes of processing MIDI messages:

Splitter mode allows you to split the keyboard of one MIDI channel into several zones. Notes from each zone are sent to only one instrument. This allows you to simultaneously play several instruments at once, listen to the interaction of timbres without having to switch the MIDI channel.

Combiner mode allows you to combine several monophonic instruments into one multitimbral polyphonic instrument. This works the same way as a polyphonic synthesizer's algorithm when it activates its voices. Only instead of voices with the same dynamics and parameters, you can play completely different timbres, which greatly expands the possibilities for creating interesting harmonies and rhythms.

Translator mode allows you to play the sound core parameter by pressing notes. Each received note is translated into a CC message corresponding to the desired parameter. This mode allows you to play with sound parameters, rather than simply enter them by rotating the knob. This mode works great with granular delays, resonant filters and paraphonic oscillators.

Power supply: DC +5V via USB
Current consumption: 20 ma max
Dimensions: 148 x 50 x 20 mm
Weight: 0.15 kg
