Notes: The 4VCLFO is four LFOs with triangle Outputs in 10hp. It features a knob for the Frequency of each LFO and CV inputs with attenuators.

The "Aux" input is normalized to the four CV inputs, so you can modulate all LFOs with one signal at the same time. Plugging a cable into the CV input breaks its connection from the aux input.

This way you can create more interesting Modulations for your Patches.

You can easily customise LFO speeds to your liking by changing capacitor values on the back.

Notes: The Exhaust adds many features to your Engine V2 VCO module like Sub-octaves, Mixing and a Gate / Trigger generated by the Chaos signal.

You can select one of the two VCO cores of the engine to Produce Square Waves one and two octaves below the Oscillators frequency. You can blend between -1 and -2 octaves and Set the volume they are Mixed into the Main "Mix" output.

The knobs "VCO1" "VCO2" and "AM" set the level of the selected waveform of each VCO and the AM output from the Engine to the Main Mix. The "Ext In" Input is normalled from the RM output, but you can plug in any other signal to go to the Main Mix.

The V Ref sets a Voltage between 0V and +10V which compares against the Chaos signal from the engine (Chaos attenuator on the Engine doesn't matter). Whenever the Chaos signal is higher in Voltage than the Knob setting, It will Give you a Gate or Trigger signal depending on the switch. There is also a CV input, which offsets your V Ref and can create interesting Rhythms.

The CubuSynth VCFA is a multimode VCF with LP,HP and BP modes with integrated VCA, CV control over Frequency, Resonance and Volume.
The CV input for the Frequency features 1V/Oct scaling over about 2~3 octaves. So you can even create plucky melodies
with the resonance in "ringing" mode.
The Gain control can reach a nice, soft saturation.

GATE.

Overall Time control which shortens the length of the entire envelope.

Notes: The "uMM" combines a MIDI merger and two independent THRU distributors in a module that is only 4 HP wide. All sockets on the module are in MIDI TRS-B format.

At the heart of the two-input MIDI merger is a small, powerful ARM processor with plenty of buffer memory. Two MIDI streams are mixed to one output and can also be tapped via an additional second output. Two LEDs signal the operation of the merger: one LED indicates MIDI activity at the inputs, and a second LED warns of too much data at the inputs.

The second group of functions consists of two independent, separate MIDI THRU distributors. The MIDI data at the respective MIDI input can be picked up and distributed at the three THRU outputs. If required, a 1-to-5 distributor can be created from the two units by connecting an output of the left group to the input of the right group.

Camber is designed to be a fun, tactile filter with a small footprint. It's sound is neutral enough for basic filtering without a fuss, with a much more aggressive tone available using high resonance settings in three-pole mode.

Filter Core

The core of the filter is based on a state variable topology using 2164 VCAs and 1% tolerance integrating capacitors. Resonance and feedback control is provided by the fantastic circuit design originally by Neil Johnson "Voltage Controlled 3-Pole State Variable Filter" recently made available in Sound Semiconductor documentation.

Operation

Camber is switchable between low pass and high pass responses with one pole (6dB) and three pole (18dB) flavours of each. It has full CV control of both cutoff frequency and resonance amount. The input is DC-coupled allowing LFO and CV signals to be routed through the filter. The filter will also act as a simple oscillator producing a clean sinusoidal signal with the resonance control turned *almost fully clockwise, and no signal at the audio input. Dialling in the resonance so that it is just under the point of self-oscillation allows the filter to be "Pinged" by sending gate signals to the audio input. This is useful for tuned percussion sounds and FX.

Notes: This is a self contained analogue high hat module. This is a Transistor based VCA design. It is influenced by the DR110 drum machine. The original circuit used 4 oscillators to make the metallic audio sound. I added the original 4 oscillator, and an extra 6 oscillator circuit. The 6 oscillator version is doing a double XOR ringmod (internally). You select that by switch.

The 4 oscillator design sounds more crunchy, where as the 6 XOR circuit sounds more polished with sheen. You can blend in the amount of white noise in the mix labeled 'sizzle'.

Internally, the audio is passing through a few high pass filters, making the output sound very high in frequencies.

The module by itself is not exciting. But in the mix, with other percussion modules, this is your favorite-go-to module. It sits almost perfect in the mix.

There are two triggers. One is for 'Open' sound. The other is for 'close' sound. Both open and close have there own decay knob to adjust the length of the audio tail.

There is a tone control, labeled LPF. Use this to taper off some of the high frequencies.

Instead of adding an 'accent' control. Both triggers have been made to voltage variable. 5V triggering is the normal expected input. So a 3V trigger will sound softer in volume. 10V trigger signals will sound louder.

This module is as simple as it gets, just patch your Arturia Beat Step Pro and use the drum track.

The Morphor Mixer - 5 Channel Amplifier is a flexible analogue mixer module that can find a home in every type of Eurorack setup.

Notes: Expandoor

The Expandoor gets you quickly and simply using AMP's Melody Oracle, Star Song, or Touch Tones (as well as other possible future devices) as a CV and Gate controller. It outputs Eurorack-compatible CV and GATE signals, transforming your AMP device into a versatile and novel modular synth sequencer or controller. The Expandoor can be used as a standalone tabletop box, or mounted in a 3U 10HP rack space.

Three independent GATE outputs:

Just as the three "Register" zones on your AMP device gate the audio for the three octaves of the built-in synthesizer, there are three corresponding gate outputs on the Expandoor. The 1/8" jacks labelled "BS" "LH" and "RH" output ~11V DC gate signals whenever those zones are gating "ON" on your AMP device.

CV output, tuners and LED indicators:

The jack labelled "CV" outputs a tuned set of CV values (0-11V), tuned independently but correspondingly, to the set of tuners on your AMP device. The row of multi-turn tuners on the front panel allow fine tuning of each CV state. One tuner is active at a time, depending on the state of the "INTERVAL" zones on your AMP device. The active tuner is conveniently indicated in real time via lights found to the right of the tuners. The indicator lights serve a second function of showing you which tuner on the controlling AMP device is also active in parallel.

AMP LINK jacks

The AMP LINK jack on the bottom left of the front panel (with the arrow pointing IN) connects your controlling AMP device into the EXPANDOOR. Use only shielded CAT 5 or CAT 6 cables and connectors (the correct cables will have metal end connectors). The AMP LINK jack on the right outputs a signal identical to the input, allowing chaining of multiple Expandoors and/or Wave Expanders. Do not plug more than one AMP controlling device into a single Expandoor simultaneously, or damage to the devices could occur.

Each controlling device requires its own Expandoor or Wave Exapnder, but multiple expansion modules can be chained from one controlling device. One potential benefit to chaining expansion modules is the ability to output multiple tuned, corresponding but independent, CV channels. Meaning multiple sets of harmonic values could be tuned and accessed at the command of the single controlling AMP device, or accessed via other modules in your system.

Notes: R2M is module 1 of a pair of two 2 HP modules that allow you to connect a chain of controllers to your DROID master through a standard 3.5 mm stereo cable (sometimes also called aux-cable).

The usual idea is that you put all your DROID controllers into a skiff case and mount your DROID master, X7 and G8 into another case, together with all your fancy Eurorack sound modules.

R2C is module 2 of a pair of two 2 HP modules that allow you to connect a chain of controllers to your DROID master through a standard 3.5 mm stereo cable (sometimes also called aux-cable).

The usual idea is that you put all your DROID controllers into a skiff case and mount your DROID master, X7 and G8 into another case, together with all your fancy Eurorack sound modules.

While you could do this with the typical 6-pin ribbon connector (e.g. the 80 cm version that we offer), using the R2M/R2C combination has some serious advantages:

The connection cable can be almost arbitrary long (20 m have been tested and works perfectly).

Since the connection is done on the front of the modules, you can quickly disconnect your skiff for the purpose of travelling to a gig.

You can use a standard 3.5 mm stereo TRS cable for the connection.

These modules are not just passive connectors but contain special driver ICs that transform the electronic voltage levels, which run in the 6-pin ribbon, to something more stable and reliable that is fit for longer distances in a more hostile environment.

The controllers do not receive their power from the master but from the R2C module, which has a power connector and a voltage regulator for that purpose. Each chain of the R2C module provides the same power to its controller chain as the master does (it contains the identical voltage regulator). That means that you can connect up to 32 controllers (!) to one R2C.

Another nice thing: The R2M/R2C combination allows for two of these master / controller connections in parallel. That means that you can have two masters being attached to their individual controller chains. That does not mean, that each of the masters can access each of the controllers at the same time, however. Both master / controller connections work completely separately.

Notes: You've been up all night in a bidding war on eBay to win a prized 80s rack effect unit - you can't wait to add some serious cheese to your tracks, and the sound of gated reverbs ring in your ears. Your heart pounds, and your pulse rises to crescendo as you win the auction! But there is one problem: your Eurorack system runs way too hot to simply plug straight into your stereo FX units. Your heart sinks, as you realize there is not much you can do that doesn't involve a lot of messing around with complicated and weird mono modules. That is, until now: introducing the Herzlich SFXI.

The Stereo FX Integrator was designed in response to my own need: owning several cool stereo FX units, and having no easy way to integrate them with an easy send and return, in my Eurorack system. Attenuate your Eurorack signals down to line level, or even all the way down to instrument level, and get a nice, clean boost back up to modular levels, with this dead simple and highly useful device from the R&D department at Herzlich Labs.

The BXx2 is a dual channel preamp, EQ and mixer based on the classic Boss BX series mixers. With the inclusion of both input gain and level controls, each channel can be overdriven, producing the signature saturated and lively sound the BX mixers are known for. The EQ controls provide the channels with simple but great sounding high and low shelf EQs for emphasising and shaping sounds and an additional 'Aux' input allows another mixer or extra sound source to be chained in.

The BXx2 was designed in collaboration with Feedback Modules and is based on their single channel 'PRE BX' module.

Notes: HN VCF is a state variable filter having 12 db Low Pass, 12 dB High Pass, 6 dB Band Pass plus 18 db Low Pass marked as "LP!", because it has extra drive. All three parameters: "Freq", "Resonance" and "Drive" have dual knobs with outer knobs controlling bipolar CV amount. These affected CVs are then shown by the relative green/blue LEDs.

Notes: The Low Fat is a new 2hp Eurorack module by AJH Synth, it's a High Pass filter, with frequency control by either manual pot, and/or external CV with attenuator. It's intended to compliment other filters, particularly low pass VCF modules, in practical tasks such as removing excessive low frequencies, for example when the bass is swamping a mix. It can be switched between 6dB (1 pole) response and 12dB (2 pole) response.

By patching a CV signal to the FCV input it can be voltage-controlled and used musically as with any other VCF. When used in conjunction with a LP filter it forms a fully customisable band pass filter, allowing the range of passbands to be cherry-picked. Feeding in a 1V/Oct pitch CV and setting the FCV pot to a suitable level allows it to track an incoming pitch CV, so the amount of High Pass filtering remains constant as the pitch of the incoming VCOs traverse up and down the frequency range. This can be particularly useful in creating percussive sounds, such as snares and hats, but also on sequenced bass lines. Since it is only 2HP it's a great way to occupy one of those frustrating gaps in your eurorack modular case with something that is deceptively useful, and adds another dimension to the classic bass monster that is the Transistor Ladder Filter.

As its name suggests, the Erica Synths Black DJ VCF provides sound treatment functionality typically found on DJ decks - it is fully open when the cutoff knob is set to 12:00. When turned counter-clockwise, lowpass filtering is applied and when turned clockwise, highpass filtering is applied. The filter also has a nice-sounding resonance parameter. This module provides hands-on control over the sound during the performance, as well as unconventional timbre modulations that are hard to achieve with conventional state variable filters. Notes: The "Luskellader Frekans Izel" is a Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) that can be used to modulate various parameters of the synthesizer, including pitch, filter cutoff, and amplitude. Notes: Module A-101-8 is a 8-stage phase shifter which uses light-sensitive resistors (LDR) and is a replica of the Compact Phasing A manufactured by the company Schulte in the seventies. The actual phasing circuit is identical to the historic model. Only the illumination control of the LDRs is different: the A-101-8 uses LEDs to illuminate the LDRs, the historic model used incandescent miniature lamps. And the A-101-8 has no built-in LFO but can be controlled by any external control voltage source (e.g. LFO, ADSR, random, Theremin, ribbon controller, sequencer, midi). The phasing offset (i.e. the base value for the phase shifting) and the modulation depth of the external control signal can be adjusted separately. The Compact Phasing A had no offset control but only a depth control for the built-in LFO. Feedback and mixing ratio of the output signal are set by two controls. The audio input is equipped with an attenuator. The module has two audio outputs available (same as the historic model) and a visual display of the phase shifting.

The module has some peculiarities (same as the historic model):

The input signal is processed at first by a pre-stage which outputs a "modified" input signal (*). This signal is not processed by the phase shift stages but is affected by the feedback setting. Only when feedback is set to zero this signal is identical to the input signal. Otherwise it contains feedback components.

This signal is output on socket Out 2.

When both output sockets Out 1 and Out 2 are used as stereo channels one obtains a spatial stereo sound effect.

The same signals is also used for the CCW position of the mix control. With mix control fully CCW the unmodified signal appears only if the feedback control is set to zero. Otherwise it contains feedback components.

The historic model had two audio inputs: one 5-pin DIN socket and a 1/4" jack socket. The DIN socket was intended for high-level line signals. When the 1/4" jack socket was used the amplification of the pre-stage increased by about 100. The 1/4" jack socket was intended for low level signals (e.g. electric guitars or microphones). For this feature the A-101-8 has an internal jumper that can be used to increase the amplification. As long as the module is used within the A-100 system usually the lower amplification is used to avoid distortion.

The 8 photo resistors and LEDs are assembled within an small lighproof box. In addition the pc boards are made of lighproof black material to avoid interfering light from other modules or the bus board.

Amps comprises two precision linear VCAs that have been carefully designed to offer a wealth of flexibility and additional functionality. The front panel controls and signal normals allow these two VCAs to also be configured to function as: line level boosters, crossfaders, ring modulators, mixers, and much more. They can also be chained together by way of an included cable to form larger, more complex systems.

Amps features cascaded CV inputs and cascaded mix outputs allowing it to be used in a number of versatile configurations. A boost switch enables you to amplify each VCA's input by either +6dB or +20dB i ideal for boosting low amplitude signals or pleasingly overdriving audio. Time CV input provides wide ranging control of time. It is possible to dial in something approaching 1V/oct over a limited range, although Shapes has not been designed to perform as an accurately tracking VCO. In the audio range, Shapes comes into its own when used as a 'daughter' VCO to an external 'mother' VCO by patching the 'mother' VCO into Shapes' Gate In input socket - some impressive oscillator sync style effects can be achieved.

Gate In can also be used to initiate waveforms in one-shot mode, where a pulse of any length will cause Shapes to complete one cycle.

Notes: QMS does quadraphonic mid-side processing. Given a left front, right front, left back, and right back signal, it produces a mid and three side signals: left-right, front-back, and cross or diagonal. Then given these latter signals, it again produces left front, right front, left back, and right back. It has intelligent normals for passthrough, -6dB lowered mid and side signals to avoid clipping, and is equally useful for stereo mid-side when quadraphonic is not available.

Rather than merely creating an image of a sound, something that you passively look at, this module allows you to create a sonic texture that fills a room. Listening becomes active exploration instead of passive observation. Ambient music is all about space. But stereo can only provide a passive experience of this space. It's like there was a wonderful landscape glimpsed from a train window, and many experiments in stereo imaging attempt to reproduce the experience of being in that train, looking through that window. Notes: Babel is a tool for creating massive intermodulation, and a workhorse for analogue logic, depending on your use and interpretation of its function. It provides three inputs, which can be arbitrarily increased with the chainable expander (see below). For each of those inputs, Babel outputs the maximum value (ANY), the minimum value (ALL), and the balanced middle value (XSOME), which follows along the centre values of the input waves. What CENTER means is adjustable via knob and CV control. XSOME is particularly interesting, as it has the same general shape as a multiplication function, but with sharper edges. What this means it that Babel will create ring-mod like intermodulation-but with extra harmonics like those produced with a wavefolder, and with an arbitrary number of inputs, instead of just two.

When viewed as a logic module, Babel takes any group of truth values and tells you whether any of them are true (ANY, the equivalent of "or" with just two values), whether all of them are true (ALL, the equivalent of "and" with just two values), and whether some, but not all of them are true (XSOME, the equivalent of "xor" with just two values). Turn CENTER all the way to the right for 0-+5V logic, or leave it cantered for -5V-+5V logic-handy when your "logic" modules are really LFOs.

Notes: The New Systems Instruments VCA module gives you four well-calibrated VCAs in 6HP. These VCAs use operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) at their core, for true linear operation. However, unlike most OTA VCAs, the New Systems VCA is extremely low noise and distortion, coming in at < 0.2%, with ~0.05% typical.

There's no such thing as "transparent," particularly in synthesis, where the concept of an original signal that could be faithfully reproduced is often altogether absent. Notes: Strom+ is a strong, reliable and safe 4HP power solution for your modular system. The Strom+ power module includes many safety mechanisms to prevent your modules from being damaged. These include most importantly short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection and a replaceable main input fuse. See the full list below.

Strom+ also offers a current sensing technology that indicates current consumption of your system. LEDs of each rail will turn orange then red, when current consumption reaches or crosses the maximum load of that rail.

Strom+ has extremely low ripple, even under full load. This means better sound and stability for your modules.

One module can power multiple skiffs via Strom Passive Module, a Strom Connector Cable, or a KOMA Strom Busboard.

Safety Mechanisms

Replaceable input fuse. Protects the wall-plugged adapter. The KOMA Strom AC/DC adapter actually has its own protection mechanisms and will itself shutdown in most cases before the input fuse trips.
Input overvoltage. Strom+ works up to specification from 15V - 20V input and works out of specification up to 28V input.

(Heavy Low-End Eurorack Fuzz)

The Pearl Eurorack module is an adaption of (Recovery)'s pedal bearing the same name. It's a classic fuzz at a modular level, with a wide range of controls that can be manipulated via CV.

At the heart of the device is an all-analogue silicon design that adds a wall of fuzz to your signal while still remaining musical. The user interface includes intensity, tonality, compression, and output level. Pearl is an essential sound-shaping and destruction module.

Designed and assembled in Seattle, Washington. Includes a limited 1-year warranty, if registered within 30 days of purchase.
