Review: The Cut & Paste label serves up a 32nd release here that pays homage to the art of the scratch DJ. This most effective and useful scratch tool comes on 12" from Symatic and celebrates a decade of the imprint with two sides and over 20 minutes of re-mastered samples and new vocal scratch sentences. They are pitched up, looped and primed and ready for deployment in your DJ sets to bring some raw energy and old school hip-hop and rave cool. Superb stuff, just don't try and listen to them all together one after the other or you will see your mind.

Review: Audion's 'Mouth to Mouth' was one of the biggest minimal techno anthems of its era. The vaping chords and unrelenting drum funk worked countless dancefloors all over the world into a real frenzy a decade or so ago. It now gets revisited by Rekids label head Radio Slave who has updated it with some extra effects nd naughtiness for modern dance floors. The original is included with its freaky vocal loops and rising synth tension and then we're also treated to a 'mouth beats' version, acappella, and two tracks that isolate the iconic original synth line.

Review: Studio Barhnus is one of the most playful and amusing labels out there. They are also one of th only labels we can think of who would release a whole album of acapella versions of previous album tracks. But that's what we have here from Off The Meds, whose late 2002 self titled debut sounds very different without the beats. His unique Zulu-Tsotsitaal-English flows all open with short and sweet musical passages and then get spright to it. They are great tools for jobbing DJs to work into their sets and add some wonderful weirdness.
