Review: Killer tour edits on Disco Deviance including a re-working of El Coco's 'Afrodesia' and 'Coco Kane' which are transformed into a single epic edit. Also featuring an ace edit of Jimmy Ross' 'First True Love Affair'.
Review: Crazy collection of beats, breaks and samples of many classic tunes all mixed together for your pleasure! Based around the "Battle Breaks" DJ tools... Will appeal to every DJ who likes to add a bit of fun into their set!
Review: High school band directors used to press up their bands' performances to vinyl, & none made as much sweet noise as this "Texas Thunder Soul." Deluxe gatefold package as well as some previously unreleased live music, plus a bonus documentary.
Review: Bomb Strikes just don't let up on their quest for dancefloor domination with Volume 9 in the series. Once again they head stateside, this time for a hook up with Baltimore breaks don KW Griff. A key innovator of the Baltimore sound, KW is well know for his jerking rhythms and creative sampling - fitting in perfectly with the Bomb Strikes philosophy. "Respect" is without doubt an absolute monster, using Aretha Franklin's track of the same name to devastating effect.
Review: Orgone's "The Killon Floor" takes the listener on a musical journey from the sound of Los Angeles to horn and percussion driven Lagos, and from a New York club to the raw sounds of New Orleans.
Review: It's been a while since we've heard from the Editions Disco crew, and that's because our friends have been rather busy! Luckily, Prince Language has also found time to create the epic "You Can't Go" - a massive, dubbed-out re-working of Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes' "Don't Leave Me This Way", a Philly disco classic that was a huge track for the likes of Ron Hardy, Larry Levan and pretty much everyone else that matters. On the flipside we have "Sun Sun Sun" by Boston's K Civ - he transforms Jakki's original Paradise Garage and Loft favourite into a dark, druggy rhythmic workout with an ominously funky spiralling bassline that gives it a much more dirty and hard-edged feeling than the original.
