Review: A throwback to early '90s hardcore rave here, courtesy of tight knit UK producers Objekt and Call Super. Running with the story of the mythical DJ Bogdan: legend and resident DJ of Berlin's fictitious Q Bar in the city's Schoeneberg district - which ran from the early 90s until its closure in 2012. "Love Inna Basement" is presented here in its two original versions: the Morning Dub which is cited by Objekt as the inspiration behind his 2016 tribute "Theme From Q", and 'Midnite XTC', hailed by Call Super as 'the track I've taken the most garys to in my entire life'.
Tripped - "I'm A Nice Guy" (feat Mikey Motion) (4:07)
Delta 9 & Fiend - "Animals" (4:16)
Review: When we hear Triple G we think of the monstrous middleweight boxer, Gennadiy Gennadyevich Golovkin, but this new drum & bass label is doing well to rewrite that association. The second release packs just as much of a powerful punch as the feared Kazakh fighter, too, with various artists serving up horrorcore, deathcore, grimecore and hardcore tracks that will knock you cold. Opener "I See My Demons" by The Satan has healthy vocal bellows over frazzled synths followed by Raxyor & Khaoz Engine's "Cyberkinetik Deathrap" with its hyperdrive drums distorted beyond all decency and Tripped's "I'm A Nice Guy" is absolutely not. Finally, Delta 9 & Fiend finishes with a wall of white noise that is "Animals". Utterly devastating.
