Playable sequencer featuring 3 channels of 16 steps & real-time touch pads
Notes: Generator is a highly versatile multi-channel analogue step sequencer. It provides a fun and intuitive, yet powerful way to create rhythms and melodies with your modular and CV synths.

Why do I need this sequencer? What's so special?

Generator is a very compact and high-quality step sequencer. It's USP is that it is a playable sequencer. You don't just set up a sequence and leave it looping. The UI is designed in such a way as to make it easy, fun and intuitive to alter the rhythm and to get alternative sequences playing using the real time touch pads.

Generator has plenty of scope for re-patching the signals using CV leads, or via the pre-configured switches.

Generator is super easy to hook up to your analogue synthesisers, Eurorack, and other analogue gear.

Sync to DAW is very easy and solid, using MIDI note 60. Play that note and the sequencer will step.

No menus of multi-button pressed. WYSIWYG front panel control.

Generator can be as complex or as simple as you want it to be:

Analogue Solutions have given this sequencer a large and diverse number of controls, that along side the patch sockets, will give even the best and experienced electronic musician endless possibilities.

The controls are presented in a user friendly and familiar sequencer layout that, together with this manual and other resources, enable even the new guy to get great patterns quickly.

No compromise has been made with the construction of Generator. Cheaper parts have not been used!

Feature Overview:

Analogue Sequencer:
Three channels of 16 steps, each providing true analogue CV outputs. These run in parallel. Total pattern length can be changed, or the pattern reset.

Gate Outs:
Gate output, with an inverted 'flipped' output (positive voltage, but the 'state' is inverted. So this output does the opposite of the main Gate output).

Voltage Generator:
Six 'note' interval voltage generator keyboard. Use to transpose the sequence, reset, start and other things too! Can be clocked by the End Pulse creating a mini-sequence that changes once per bar. Can be used independently as a mini keyboard!

Voltage Controlled Internal Clock:
The internal clock is analogue using an analogue LFO. Speed can be changed using CV. The sequencer can also be clocked using a MIDI note or even using an external clock signal from a modular.

Versatile Control:
Many controls, switches, and jacks to allow you to alter the way the sequencer steps or behaves.

Intuitive Real Time Gate Control:
Or, IReTiGaC (patent pending). Alter the rhythm in real time using just 4 rotary knobs.

Jack Sockets:
So many jacks sockets!

Compact:
Slim form factor.

Compact true analogue synth - great for melodic & percussive sounds
Notes: True stereo analogue synth/sonic realiser. Perfect for melodic and percussion loops. Very easy (and fun!) to create modular style analogue loops. It's a complete sound track all by itself!

It's wrong to call it a synthesiser (in fact a new word needs to be invented) because then you get preconceived ideas about what it does. It's a whole lot more than a synth. It's also part drum synth, part pattern generator, part modular loop producer.

All its unique features plus the 2 independent LPFs give this machine the ability produce stereo loops that sound like multiple synths playing at once.

Impulse Command is a compact true analogue synth in a neat, smart, package. When we say 'real analogue' we mean that the entire audio path (aside from the post effects of course!) and all modulation are entirely analogue, using circuits based on awesome sounding vintage 1970s designs. Their circuits are not locked down by CPUs. Controls are not quantised and read by CPUs. With the exception of the essential digital elements (that is MIDI conversion, sequencer control and digital delay/reverb), Impulse Command really is analogue and the sound benefit is immediately apparent!

The synth has been designed by Tom Carpenter, a musician and a big fan of electronic music. He knows how to program a synth and what should be expected. So, the modulation choices and range of sounds they produced have all been carefully thought out and quickly give you those sounds you want: huge bass, synth leads, percussion, effects, modular style sounds.

Analogue monosynth & step sequencer
Notes: Analogue Solutions are proud to announce availability of Leipzig-S, the latest addition to its lengthening line of critically-acclaimed, quality-crafted boutique designs from founder Tom Carpenter in the true spirit of vintage analogue synthesisers befitting the true analogue synth enthusiast.

Evolving from its namesake Leipzig (rack-mounting) and Leipzig-k (keyboard-endowed) analogue monosynth predecessors, the rack-mountable/tabletop Leipzig-S literally goes several steps further by incorporating an in-built eight-step analogue sequencer that can be used to produce simple melodic lines as well as acting as a modulation source to affect the filter cutoff (or to create additional effects, depending on other control settings). VCO1, VCO2, and the VCF are all available as sequencer destinations; seemingly simple, yet favourably flexible, the step sequencer can be creatively controlled (clocked) by multiple sources, at audio frequencies (using VCO2 as a clock source), or using the output of the sequencer itself as an audio source to be played via MIDI while the eight step controls then alter the waveform/tonal content, for example, such are the adventurous advantages of packaging an analogue step sequencer with a true analogue monosynth.

The entire design is traditional early-eighties analogue (voice and modulation) circuitry, comprised entirely of discrete components and op-amps (bar, of course, the digital sequencer controller and MIDI-CV interfacing); since the Leipzig-S is a strictly no-memory affair, all controls are not quantised, resulting in an authentically vintage sound, replete with musically desirable quirks and subtle artifacts (much in the same way that, say, a valve amp or vinyl record adds sonic character), unlike some other modern analogue synths that arguably sound almost as perfect as DSP analogue modelling.

With electronic percussion having influenced the choice of routings, the Leipzig-S boasts a huge range of modulation possibilities to facilitate creating the widest possible range of sounds, including deep basses, sound effects, analogue loops and (obviously) electronic drum sounds. With this, his latest design, true analogue synth enthusiast Tom Carpenter is confident that he has achieved a modern analogue synth that truly does sound vintage.

Mr Hyde is the first in a new series of 'synthBlocks'. These are small table top effects processor, and later synthesisers and sequencers. Designed by renowned UK synth designers Analogue Solutions who have over 24 years in the industry.

Mr Hyde is an analogue filter effects box use for subtle to extreme filtering and modulation effects.

SynthBlocks are used to process any sound that you feed into it from your DAW, Mixer or some musical instrument (with prior pre-amplification where necessary). To give your plug-ins some real analogue hardware life.

Mr Hyde has 1/4" input and output jacks on the rear, so it can be connector straight to a mixer or DAW audio interface without the need for adaptors.

On the top panel are mini jack sockets to patch with a semi-modular synth, such as AS's very own Fusebox, or to Eurorack and other modular systems.

Mr Hyde can change the sound in subtle ways, such as nice sweeping filtering, right up to mangled FM mayhem!

Designed, engineered, and hand built in England.

Real analog monosynth, can be expanded to 2 or 4 voice with additional Nyborg
Notes: Nyborg is part of the Analogue Solutions range of analogue music equipment.

Nyborg is a precision electronic musical instrument.

It combines all the often needed music electronic circuitry to make a music synthesiser in one compact module.

No compromise has been made with the construction of Nyborg. Cheaper options in parts have not been used.

This synth has NO memories! - Advantages;

None of the parameters or controls are quantised. So when you turn a knob, you are turning a resistor that affects a real analogue circuit.

Because each parameter is not under solid CPU control, each parameter has that tiny analogue drift that adds so much to character.

You are forced to be creative. No reliance on presets! Each time you make a sound you are being original.

Quick, easy and simple to use! WYSIWYG - no nasty menus and sub-menus to change the sound.

*UK power adapter included*

Analog synthesiser with full rugged steel/aluminium case and very high build quality - features Leipzig synth's "Moog" style filter

Why Do I need this synth? What's So Special?

Nyborg is a compact true analogue mono synth in a neat, smart, small package.

When we say 'real analogue' we mean that the entire audio patch and all modulation is entirely analogue, using circuits based on awesome sounding vintage 1970s designs. There circuits are not locked down by CPUs, controls are quantised and read by CPUs. With exception of the MIDI to CV circuit, which by its nature must have a digital element, Nyborg really is analogue and the sound benefit is immediately apparent!

We get may good comments about how good Analogue Solutions sound, how good, warm and full of character they are.

The synth has been designed by a musician who is a big fan of electronic music, and knows how to program a synth, not designed by an engineer. So, the modulation choices and range of sounds they produced have all been carefully thought out and quickly give you those sounds you want: huge bass, synth leads, percussion, effects, modular style sounds.

Nyborg 12 and Nyborg 24 are identical, with the exception of the filter section - Nyborg24 uses a 4 pole 24dB ladder low pass filter. It uses the same filter as the awesome Leipzig synthesizer, which is similar (but not the same, having its own character) to the old vintage Moogs.

Keyboard version of the Telemark (SEM modular keyboard)
Notes: The Telemark provides exactly the same features as the Semblance, but with the addition of modular synth patch points. This in effect turns it into a semi-modular design and means it can be interfaced to other modules and synths very easily.

The Telemark is a sturdily made white metal wedge, populated on the left side of the panel by lots of knobs and a few LEDs. The right side is devoted to a series of 1/8" sockets designed to provide access to core points in the synth's signal path. The back panel has a small socket for the supplied external PSU, MIDI input/thru, as well as 1/4" jack sockets for the main audio output and 2 external audio inputs.

The Telemark is an easy-to-use and fine-sounding synth, which is capable of a wide range of sounds. It uses the patch panel to add another dimension and offers some great options for processing external audio as well as transforming the internal palette. The MIDI spec gives the Telemark the ability to respond to both note on/off and velocity information for VCA and VCF sections. The patch panel allows you to route these elsewhere should you need to and a MIDI controller can be assigned to modulation duties should you wish.

The Telemark is a Oberheim SEM inspired synth like the Anyware Tinysizer, the Semtex XL and the Analogue Solutions Semblance are.

The Telemark-K is similar to original SEM but with Sample and hold, LFO square wave, noise, extra inputs, many more signal modulation options via rotary switches.

Versatile analogue synth & sound maker
Notes: No compromise has been made with the construction of Treadstone. Cheaper options in parts have not been used.

- Full rugged steel/aluminium case; no plastic mouldings
- Good quality smooth, fully sealed against dust
- Good quality knobs with spun aluminium caps
- High grade double sided circuit board
- Analogue discrete VCO, analogue SSM style 24db filter
- High Quality 16bit DAC for MIDI-CV conversion Stable MIDI to CV
- MIDI converter
- MIDI loop sequencer
- LFO, Noise, Sub Osc, EG, PWM, lofi digital echo
- Analogue voice and modulation circuits
- Stable analogue oscillator
- Designed, built, tested and assembled in the UK
- True retro analogue voice and modulation circuits used in the synth element to give an authentic retro

Analogue Oscillator:
The VCO is very analogue and uses discrete components and op-amps. One oscillator, yet still sounds big - using PWM and Sub Osc creates a full warm and deep sound.

Analogue Low Frequency Oscillator:
The LFO has triangle and square wave modulation signals.

Analogue Filter:
Treadstone uses a four pole 24bB per octave multimode filter. The filter is a re-issue of the classic SSM2044, as used in many classic synths such as the Korg Poly 6, Monopoly, Emulator, SP1200.

Analogue Mixer:
Audio signals such as the VCO, Noise, external audio are all routed to the VCF via an analogue mixer.

Analogue Amplifier:
The VCA can be set so it is always 'open'. This allows Treadstone to be used as an effects processor.

Analogue Envelope:
The EG features ATTACK, SUSTAIN, and combined DECAY/RELEASE. It's not really true to say it is an ASR envelope, it really is an ADSR - Decay and Release are both controlled by the same control. Saving space with little compromise in flexibility. It's possible to drone or auto-repeat the envelope also.

Modulation:
Great thought has been placed into modulation route choices, allowing a wide range of sounds to be produced, including percussion and 'modular' style sounds.
