As if reissuing highly sought-after gems wasn't enough, this special gold vinyl edition of Paolo Modugno's Brise D'Automne is limited to 100 copies. The album originally came out in 1988 and has since been highly coveted by record collectors fascinated with the new age delights contained within. The curious fusion of organic and electronic elements with a daring approach to production makes for one of the most unique records you're likely to hear all year, and as an added hook the release features a bonus vinyl with two additional pieces included.

There's even some sweet synth jams to melt into, ensuring there's something for everyone to get into. Fans of Jon Hassell, Daniel Schmidt or Laraaji should sink very easily into this rich, multifaceted album.

Review: Following in the pioneering steps of his father, the legendary Karlheinz Stockhausen, Markus Stockhausen made quite a splash with his first LP Aqua Sansa, recorded with Jasper Van't Hof. While jazz can be used as a reference point on this highly sought after album from 1980, it's more appropriate to think of the record in terms of freeform timbral expression. There's a fourth world, Jon Hassell-esque charm to pieces such as "Daybreak" while the likes of "Takone" sport a more eerie, minimalist charm. Either way, it's a highly worthy reissue for a much vaunted gem of leftfield music.
