Build to last

Designed with a high-quality Unibody Black Anodised Aluminum frame, the Befaco 7U Case is a slim and sturdy solution to travel with. The included PET-G clear cover keeps your modules safe even patched.

Designed to fit any situation, the Befaco 7U Case metal frame is a lightweight and strong device by itself. With a maximum depth of 53mm (power supply side) and 70mm (rest of the case), it can house the vast majority of modules out there. Equipped with a high-quality anti-vandalic power button and a Kensington lock connector, the Befaco 7U Case is also a safe device to travel with.

Because power is important for us, this new Trolley Bus systems drop up to 5000mA on the +12V rail, 2500mA on -12V, and 4000mA on +5V with high voltage stability under load and low noise. The case drives up to 36 modules over its 208HP (3U) and 104HP (1U) rows (Intellijel format).

6x 6,3" Jacks I/Os with Balanced and Unbalanced configuration, MIDI In/Out/Thru ports, USB Device Type B, and Apple compatible USB-A charging ports. The Befaco 7U Case offers a huge amount of connections fully accessible from its internal I/O Board.

Created with compatibility in mind, the rear panel ports are fully compatible with Intellijel 1U modules. The 1U row can be easily customized to be at the centre of the case with just two screws.

To keep your modules safe and dust free, a custom PET-G clear cover is included with the case. The cover has been designed to close patched, and a custom velcro belt is included to keep it safely closed.

To save space in your studio desk, the Befaco 7U Case is also Vesa mount fully compatible. It counts with Vesa threads at the bottom to easily attach it to desktop or wall Vesa stands.

Noise plethora has three different noise generators:

The first two are identical and are composed of digital algorithms followed by a 12dB analog multimode filter.
Each program has two variables (Named X and Y) addressed by two manual controls and two associated control voltage INs.
Ships with an extensive (and expanding) algorithms library: textures, wave clusters, harsh noises, and glitches.

Generator C has three simultaneous outputs:

White. Flat Response Classic white noise.
Gritty. Granulous texture noise, with voltage-controlled grit quantity.
Filtered. Is the White or Gritty noise followed by a 24dB multimode VCF.

A total of 5 different noise sources in one module!

Notes: Hexmix VCA is a compact six channel VCA with an unique response curve range from logarithmic to linear and to exponential using a pot.

All outputs are routed to output six to act as a mixer, with a normalization of each one to remove each channel from the Mix.

The module can act as six independent VCAs as well as a Mixer for all the inputs (Selectable via a switch).

Every VCA has a response pot for the incoming CV, being full logarithmic at maximum setup and full exponential at minimum setup, having the linear response in the center position.

Level pot of each channel is an attenuator of the signal coming out of each VCA.

Jacks are normalled to 10 volts, so when we have no CV present VCA would be fully open and our Level pot will act as a volume.

Notes: Crush Delay v3 is a special Echo-Delay unit based on the PT2399 IC, which is able to offer 400ms of clean delay and up to 2 seconds of dirty repetitions, having a special talent to generate noisy-glitch textures. The module bases its operation on controlling the PT2399 chip with circuit bending techniques, converting the unit in an advanced VC digital trash generator. This third version comes with some interesting new features like redesigned VCAs circuits, wider range for clean delay and reduced depth to make it skiff friendly.

The module features a few VCAs to provide a flexible signal route to maximize module's possibilities. First two VCAs at the inputs to control the amount of signal sent to the delay. The first is routed to both the dry/wet mix and the delay, and the second directly to the delay. Combining the second VCA and the FX Send output allows external feedback routings.

Compared with v2, this third version offers a bigger range of clean delay time as well as a revision of some of the Crush modifiers. Combining those modifiers you will have a access to a vast palette of noises and textures that can be used in many different ways. From ambient/drone patches to even percussion sounds.

The VC Feedback features an automatic gain control to keep levels stable at any feedback level.

Notes: From trickling hi-hats to thunderous kicks. The Befaco Percall 4-Channel VCA/Delay Envelope Module is designed to take care of all percussive aspects of your Eurorack rig. You'll be able to create a whole host of percussion thanks to the 4 VCAs, volume control and decay options. By using the trigger you'll be free to open the VCA whilst the volume knob helps determine the level of the percussive sound you've sculpted. Take your tones to the next level thanks to the inclusion of an output on the envelope. You can apply this to the pitch of the oscillator to achieve a fat kick drum which offers excellent low frequency energy. The Percall 4-channel module is the ultimate addition to your Eurorack.

Notes: CV Thing is a fully mappable CV to MIDI converter in just 6HP. Its based on our VCMC module, but aiming for small and compact performance rigs. It has eight inputs that can be mapped to any MIDI message quite easily thanks to its simple and intuitive user interface. CCs, Program change ,V/Oct to Note or Clock are some of the messages that can be configured to easily control MIDI gear from your modular rig.

Notes: The Sampling Modulator is a multi-function module that lies somewhere between a VCO, a Sample & Hold, and an 8 step trigger sequencer.

Sequencer Clocked Sample & Hold

In this mode it acts like a regular Sample and Hold (S&H) but since it is "sequencer clocked", it is capable of much more interesting patterns than the usual S&H melodies.

The CLOCK input can work in two ways: 1. As a typical clock 2. In "positive going hard sync" mode allowing you to create shuffling and polyrythmic effects.

The HOLD input can be used to keep certain notes playing.

Analog Down-Sampling Effect

In this mode (with the clock running at audio rates) you can go from nasty and harsh sampling rate reduction to an almost clean signal. (The clock run up to 25Khz without external CV and up to 200Khz with CV on the input).

Sampling Modulator/Shaper

Thanks to the V/Oct clock, by feeding a simple waveshape such as a sine wave to IN, and pitch CV to the VCO as well as to the Sampling Modulator CV input, their related frequencies and aliasing caused by the sampling rate reduction are capable of creating clangorous metallic sounds, 8 bit textures and much more.

The game becomes much more interesting when you try to destroy the wave by flipping on and off the switches of the sequencer (which at times can make it sound like three VCOs running in unison).

To understand how the Sampling Modulator works, keep in mind that we are working with a temperature compensated ramp core VCO with more than 4 octaves of tracking. This allows the timbre to stay the same while you move through the scale as the internal and external VCOs are synced in a fashion similar to "frequency related sampling rate modulation"

Unusual V/oct VCO You can use the trigger outputs as a pulse VCO. Flipping the switches on and off the switches can offer a lot of interesting timbral changes.

Notes: Performance-focussed crossfader module designed to simplify the process of morphing CV and audio signals. Quad channel design with lots of creative potential.

Morphader is a performative tool designed to make multichannel CV/Audio crossfade easy and comfortable. Fading from one quad CV/audio scene to another. The core of the module has four CV controlled crossfaders, each with their individual control and a master fader to control them all. The module mixes the four crossfades at its fourth output, thanks to a clever normalization scheme. Each of them can be easily removed from the mix by plugging a cable at its own output.

Notes: A compact attenuverting (attenuator-inverter) joystick controller and Gate Generator. With it, you can generate and process two control voltages using only one hand. Provided controls for CV ranges and offset adjust the boundaries of your control, this way it never gets out of the desired range, ensuring sensibility and playability even with wild performance gestures.

Notes: Inamp is a dual pre-amp in just 4 HPs. Featuring 6,3 Jacks inputs as well as Minijacks.

Both inputs are summed so you can use them at the same time as an input mixer.

The unit is designed to amplify up to x20 the input signal, allowing to amplify most of the music machines out there (Domestic line levels) as well as some guitars (Humbucker-like pickups and so).

The first channel is normalled to second one in series, so it's possible to have two stages of amplification or two separate ones.

Notes: Befaco's new Output Module is designed to be the master output for your modular system, providing an extra Cue Input to monitor any signal.

Left IN is routed to both channels when no Right signal is present. Both Outputs are TRS balanced.

A Headphones out is available. You can route Headphone OUT to the main out or an independent signal with CUE switch. Like this you can either pre-listen your sounds with the CUE Input or listen to your main out without disturbing your neighbours!

Level LEDs are available to monitor levels of each signal on the module.

Notes: Each of the two sections of the module is capable of performing the analog multiplication of two signals (A and B) and add an offset (C). It can also act as a dual voltage controlled attenuverter, dual ring modulator, dual VCA or four channel mixer (see block diagram below).

The B inputs are routed to an attenuverter that multiplies the signal between -2 to 2, while the offset inputs (C) route through a unity gain attenuverter (multiplies the signal between -1 and 1).

The output of first section is routed to the output of the second (when the first's output is unused), so the second output can act as master to achieve (A1*B1+C1) + (A2*B2+C2) or (A1 + C1) + (A2 + C2) - a 4 channel mixer.

The through-zero (four-quadrant) multipliers in the A*B+C allow for true Ring Modulation. To achieve this, simply connect two waveforms to the A and B inputs.

Notes: Stmix is a compact 4 channel stereo mixer with an Auxilliar input. This input will allow us to chain a few of them or to insert an extra fifth input.

This module is compatible with Befaco's Hexmix system, and can be internally connected to hexmix module to add the output of STMIX to your main mix.
