I'm Moving To Berlin (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: CDA 027. Rel: 14 Jan 19
Disco/Reediciones
  1. I'm Moving To Berlin
  2. Sexual Intruder Alert
  3. Approach & Identify
Review: Through his glittering catalogue for Public Possession, Bell Towers has proven himself to be a leading light in contemporary house that packs personality and class to match its club dynamics. His irreverent humour comes out in droves on "I'm Moving To Berlin", which thumps with the '80s-tinged energy he does so well. "Sexual Intruder Alert" actually sees the BT sound edge a little more towards techno, perhaps appropriate given the subject matter of the EP, and then "Approach & Identify" takes things in a tense, sleazy direction that jacks with a rawness you could imagine Ron Hardy going absolutely apeshit for.

Costellazione K78 (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: CDA 025. Rel: 10 Sep 18
Disco/Reediciones
  1. Costellazione K78 (6:56)
  2. Costellazione K78 (Efxapella) (2:30)
  3. Costellazione K78 (dub) (8:12)
Review: Apparently eight years in the making, "Costellazione K78" is the collaborative effort of Discodromo and Massimiliano Pagliara. It's a truly cosmic affair that channels a generous amount of warm, 70s sound into its component parts as it sets a course for the stars. The A-side houses the original throbbing epic in its pure form, restrained in parts but with a bold narrative arc that reaches further out with every passing bar. Meanwhile on the flip you can feast your ears on the more boldly defined dub version, which amps up the FX and synth vamps for a truly interstellar space trip.

Ambient/Drone
  1. Cuando Rocio Dispara Sus Flechas
  2. Barreras
  3. De La Melancolía
  4. Ukraïna
  5. Posmeridiano
Review: REPRESS ALERT: Lury Lech is a transdisciplinary artist of Ukrainian origin part of the few pioneers in the Spanish electronic and digital audio-visual scene that began to develop during the 80's.

His open and unclassifiable style made of eerie sonic atmospheres, arrhythmic structures and dense textures create hypnotic ambiance and a new way to conceive experimentalism.

Wrongly described as New Age music at that time, "Musica para el fin de los cantos" is a stunning and deeply emotive ambient work, that stares down at the eternal enigma, giving a glimpse of Iury Lech's classical music of the future.
Iury recorded this blissful masterpiece in his Barcelona's studio in 1989. It was then published in 1990 by the unique Spanish label Hyades Arts.

It's 2017 and it's time to unearth this magical piece of vibrating chords to please your sensitive yet hungry ears. Sit back and enjoy the meditative state.

  1. Barreras (Powder remix)
  2. Cuando Rocio Dispara Sus Flechas (Suzanne Kraft remix)
  3. Posmeridiano (Hatchback remix)
  4. Ukraina (Zavoloka remix)
Review: Cocktail D'Amore showed the breadth of their tastes when they reissued Ukranian composer Iury Lech's 1990 album Musica Para El Fin De Los Cantos last year. Now the label has commissioned a raft of remixes from some label regulars, with wonderful and diverse results. Powder drops her signature snaking rhythmic trysts over "Barreras", while "Cuando Rocio Dispara Sus Flechas" benefits from an abstract, ambient reworking from Suzanne Kraft. Hatchback takes to "Posmeridiano" with a delicate touch, all lingering 80s synth motifs in a beatless reverie, and Zavoloka lays the cinematic intensity on heavy with the icy strains of "Ukraina".

Pene D'amore Part 1 (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: CDA 019. Rel: 02 Oct 17
Techno
  1. Surdinia
  2. Meccanica
Review: Having previously popped up on ESP Institute, Juan Ramos teams up with Trent to form Greenvision, making their first appearance on the home of freshly squeezed discoid deviance, Cocktail D'Amore. "Surdinia" takes over the A side with a bombastic array of peak time devices in its utility belt, from bubbling acid tweaks to gluttonous monosynth leads and a chunky set of drums. "Meccanica" is no slouch either, laying down thick slabs of synthesized grease in pursuit of a different kind of party track. This is unusual, distinctive club music for those who want the crowd to stop and pay attention.

Techno
  1. Stratofortress (7:29)
  2. Stratofortress (Samo DJ remix) (6:55)
  3. Stratofortress (Rrose remix) (6:19)
  4. Stratofortress (Gonno remix) (8:12)
Review: Yourhighness has been throwing his weight around labels such as Born Free and Rett I Fletta, and now he comes to Cocktail D'Amore with a mischievous slant on acidic house and techno that keeps the lysergic pressure up while never reaching into excess. "Stratofortress" is a formidable beast of a track though, and Samo DJ has plenty of gutsy material to work with in laying down his snappy, electro-inflected vesion of the original. Rrose then takes the track into his dynamic, heavily textured techno dungeon where the weighty and light-footed intermingle in a brilliant mess. Gonno's version is no slouch either, opting for a grubbier acid version for the jackers to get nasty to.
