The Vibes
The Vibes (Chicago Damn remix)
Just A New Day
Review: Together as 6th Borough Project, Craig Mitchell and Graeme "The Revenge" Clark have been a fixture of Delusions of Grandeur from the off, regularly transmitting their trademark brand of chunky disco-flecked house over the label's ongoing duration. The Vibes EP marks the duo's first material for Delusions since last year's well received debut album One Night In The Borough and finds them in fine fettle. Lead track "The Vibes" sees Mitchell and Clark in dark yet playful mood, with slick drum edits melding perfectly with eponymous vocal samples and a thick analogue bassline laying down the warehouse worthiness, while the arrival of orchestral strings provides the emotive release. Chicago Damn takes the track somewhere else on the accompanying remix, possibly his favourite productions since that killer debut Merc emission, stripping it back to a battle between high and low elements that must sound epic on a big system. Those craving some classic 6BP will revel in the luxurious expanses of "Just A New Day" that waits an absolute age to drop a beast of a bassline - well worth it though.

Review: Scottish duo Graeme Smith and Craig Smith aka 6th Borough Project release their first full length on Delusions of Grandeur. One Night In The Borough splits as three 12"s; this final vinyl edition kicks off with two surprisingly house dominated cuts. "B.U.R.T" and "The Fool", whose intro does indeed fool via a standard tech house first half. Abruptly, the music cuts and from nowhere an immense disco accapella cuts in - the beat returns as a disco fuelled funk attack, 6th Borough project as we know (and love) them! On the flip, three tracks of 6th Borough project's highest standard are on display. Warm, low slung, swinging and expertly executed disco house exudes. These guys know what they do best and by sticking to it they succeed time and time again. 6th Borough project - Juno salute you!

U Know U
Read My Mind (feat Paul Joseph)
Review: A long-awaited taste of what to expect from their forthcoming sophomore set Borough 2 Borough, this trio of deep, groove-laden treats from Craig Smith and The Revenge's 6Th Borough Project have been long-awaited. "In Your Arms" has Balearica stamped all over it; concentrated house euphoria with sun-splashed keys and a perfectly executed disco vocal sample, it will melt the heart of everyone in a three mile radius of the club. "U Know U" is just as slow and steady but comes with a more electronic make-up that's almost Italo in its delivery. Gradually developing momentum with classy drama, it's instantly timeless. "Read My Mind" closes this spectacular show with a nagging, hooky tech piece that drives with a sharply edited piano riff, hushed vocals and an ever-morphing rhythm. Beautiful.

Review: Alma Negra steps up to Delusion of Grandeur to bring the vibes on this new 12" in a fancy die-cut and spot-varnished sleeve. The sounds are funky and disco-fried with 'Madrugada' riding on lavish horn leads and nice loose percussive beats. 'Funky Fever' ups the temperatures with some sleazy vocals riding on jangling and organic beats. 'Madrugad' then comes as a Yuksek remix that layers in more colourful synths and allows the steamy origin vocals to bring the heat and a dub mix closes down this party-friendly EP

Tricks On Wax (7:34)
Seven Sisters (5:34)
Special 4U (5:24)
Review: Well, it's safe to say that Delusions Of Grandeur has become something of a house institution by now. The imprint has put out a vast amount of material since the late noughties, all by an impressive collection of talents including Session Victim, Tornado Wallace, 6th Borough Project, Recloose and many others. Benjamin 'Ben Sun' returns to the label for his third appearance with "Tricks On Wax", an utterly funky and bass-heavy sample-house number reminiscent of the Moodymann school of sound. "Seven Sisters" is more spacey and futuristic in its melodic structure, while "Special 4U" winds things down to near hip-hop levels...chuggy beats, subtle breaks and smoked-out swirls of electronics.

Disarm
Review: Having already impressed with outings on Foto, ARP and their own Use Of Weapons, Deep Space Orchestra add Delusions Of Grandeur to their CV and deliver perhaps their most refined work to date. "Lo Pan" glides across the A Side, weaving between flourishes of Rhodes and analogue arps with a confidence that fully demonstrates their progression as a production unit. Underpinning all this is the constant groove of 808 kicks and Detroit that provides the all important rawness and momentum. The accompanying remix from Berlin duo Trickski drags "Lo Pan" into the lower reaches of muscular house movements, stripping proceedings back to a dramatic synth lead and neck crunching beat before unfolding into a groove that really gets under your skin - thanks in no small part to the added vocals. Deep Space Orchestra end proceedings on the hazed out "Disarm" which accrues a delightfully ethereal quality as it floats towards the run out groove. Fine work all round!

Lose Myself
Commando
Commando (Wareika's Crazy Setup mix)
Review: Delusions Of Grandeur present the single 'Lose Myself'; and with it it's time to introduce Manolo, the alter ego - when choosing to venture into more mid-tempo discoid territories - of a certain Roberto Rodriguez. The Helsinki based producer has been ruling things nicely for the last few years with big releases and remixes on Freerange, Compost, 2020Vision and Raw Fusion to name a few. Not one to get caught treading water, Roberto has made sure to keep things fresh as a daisy by creating his new 'Manolo' alias for cheeky edits and left-of-centre productions which fall outside the house music bracket. So who better to present you these tracks than Delusions Of Grandeur, a label not afraid to keep the tempos down and the ethos underground and eclectic. Things kick off with 'Lose Myself', a rock solid chugger that bumps n grinds perfectly while pianos build and the vocal rides the looped up slo-mo house groove. Flip over for 'Commando' which takes things in an altogether more epic, Italo-inspired direction with a sixteenth note bassline snaking around while the layers of synths slowly build into lush harmonies. A really lovely, dreamy vibe emanates from this track whilst driving beats make sure the groove stays fat and rolling. Finally we have the ever-so-slightly madcap Berliners Wareika on board to spin 'Commando' out into the stratosphere and back. Their totally analogue reworking takes a live dub approach with spinning delays and classic plate reverbs, resulting in a beautifully murky, swampy, lo-slung version loaded with atmosphere. For those unfamiliar with Wareika, be sure to check out their stuff on Connaisseur, Eskimo and Liebe*Detail.

Leaning Into The Light (5:55)

Mirrored Cube (5:15)
Review: A warm welcome back to Brummie deep house don Mark Evetts, who resurfaces after 13 months away via a predictably pleasing Delusions of Grandeur label debut. He's in fine form from the off, peppering a squelchy bassline and soft-touch drums with sweet melodic motifs and tactile synthesiser chords on 'Swimming Through a Diamond'. He doffs a cap to his own hypnotic productions of old on the immersive, warming and analogue-rich 'Compact Object', before opting for a slightly jazzier and more organic sound on the locked-in, sun-speckled deepness of 'Heartaches'. 'Leading Into The Light' is marked out by gorgeous chords, bubbly electric piano motifs and mazy solos, while 'Mirrored Cube' is a pleasingly colourful and saucer-eyed slab of mid-tempo goodness that sounds like it was tailor-made for sofa-bound morning after listening sessions.

'Interruptor' is a playful and off-kilter-cut that's perfect tackle for the warm-up or afterhours like, followed by the sensual mood music of 'I Wish' featuring NYC-based vocalist Kim Anh. Aw-rite (Mute version) (4:54)

Eighty-Eights (8:47)
Review: The recent reappearance of "Green Marimbas" on a Mister Saturday Night 12" had us remembering with fondness how great a producer Ali 'Nebraska' Gibbs is - especially that Rush Hour LP Displacement. It's been a while since we last saw a new Nebraska 12" in the trollies at Juno so kudos to Delusions of Grandeur for coaxing some new cuts out of Gibbs for this fine Rye Lane Rhythms 12". From the moment "Aw-rite (Mute version)" slips into action it's like Nebraska has never been away, that attention to percussive and rhythmic detail still dead eyed and the musicality tight as ever. "Warp & Weft" veers off into fuzzy, minimalist beatdown territory that will appeal to fans of obscure Sound Signature B-sides whilst "Eighty Eights" is the sort of loop heavy house cut that you can tease dancefloors with.

Review: The Delusions Of Grandeur label has always been a hotbed for quality deep house, and some of the game's best and brightest have graced its catalogue. Another great thing about the label has been its continuity and ability to think forwards, and this new series entitled Delusions 50 does just that. Here we have Part 1 of the collection, and it features the great Nebraska with "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running", a placid house chiller best served cold, no quick mixing on the fly is allowed, please! Ugly Drums bounces his way through funky bass tones and chugging percussion with "Like Its OK", but the undisputed quality comes from Session Victim and the gorgeous soulful swells of "Came To Be Alive" - boy what a corker!

Review: Nico Lahs hails from Bari in Southern Italy, and has released on a slew of labels as diverse as Ovum, Last Night On Earth and Rawax to name but a few. His next one comes courtesy of Jimpster's long running Delusions Of Grandeur imprint, where he serves up this impressive four tracker called Got Me Coming Back. From the tough rolling hypnotic groove of the title track, to some properly dusty mood music for the late night as heard on the smoky jazz room shuffle of 'Deep Down In My Soul' and taking his cues from the Midwest legends of the deep on the evocative 'Your Sweet Lovin''. He then closes it out with the glassy-eyed and bittersweet vibe of 'How's Life?' over on the flip.

Tale Of The Tape (Cottam mix)
Matrix
Review: Pattern Select is Milton Jackson's new endeavour with Show B and the results of their first collaborative work together finds a suitable home at Delusions Of Grandeur. Tale Of The Tape is both an auspicious glance at what the duo have up their sleeve and perhaps the finest twelve on the DoG imprint to date. Ploughing a decidedly subterranean path through the rawer excesses of house music, what is really a selection of simple elements - vocal hooks, crafty drums, ever rising pads and satisfying crashes - are combined excellently and infiltrated by the wormiest of arpeggiated synth lines. The accompanying dub version does what all good dub versions are supposed to do and there is the bonus of a flipside revision from man like Cottam that completely rewires the track along some next century utopian galactic house tip - you'll love the smudged rhythms that come floating in. Just to switch up the vibe, Pattern Select end on the dusty fingered brilliance of "Matrix" - full on beat down head nod vibes soaked in Detroit atmospherics.

Shimmy
Don't Get Me Wrong (Tornado Wallace remix)
Review: Recloose on Delusions of Grandeur? Yes please! "Don't Get Me Wrong" is classic Matt Cicioine, packed full of his usual musicality and dense, melodic production. It sounds like an unlikely fusion of distant, long-forgotten disco and spine-tingling deep house, with more atmospheric vocal samples and live instruments than you can shake a smelly stick at. It's heady and intoxicating, coming on like a classic house production made somewhere between Detroit and New York. The driving "Shimmy" continues the murky, retro-futurist trend and is just as engaging. As if that wasn't enough, there's also a lovingly fluid, decidedly Balearic rework of the title track from Melbournite Tornado Wallace that's quite possibly the best thing he's done to date. Splendid!

Backtrack
Review: Man like Recloose returns to Delusions of Grandeur, having debuted on the label in fine style with last year's Don't Get Me Wrong EP, and it's a welcome one as It's Too Late is the New Zealand dwelling producer's first 12" of 2013! Despite this prolonged absence, Recloose has clearly lost none of the energy that drove his DoG debut, with all three tracks here demonstrating a real vibrancy that will immediately provide a lift for any dancefloor experiencing an element of lag. The title cut bounces along with the sort of finesse you'd expect from a producer of Recloose's calibre, whilst the heavy slab of filter disco "You Just Love You" highlights his arrangement skills. Fans of Cardiology era Recloose should head right to "Backtrack" and bask in its brilliance.

Review: Nottingham based Ron Basejam is the anagrammed alter-ego of Crazy P co-founder James Baron who creates music with feelings on labels such as Futureboogie and Wolf Music and now for Freerange sister label Delusions Of Grandeur. On the fittingly titled The Sound Of A Feeling EP he serves up the charmingly titled "Shit Wizard" a soulful, nu-disco boogie-down jam. "We Walk To War" in its original form is the kind of lo-slung/slo-mo disco that really floats our boat, but the remix up next by Tee Mango really injects it with some Stevie Wonder style soul-funk that'll help get your shine on. The title track on the flip is the deepest and most emotive offering here, with its sublime and hypnotic qualities being pushed along by a tight groove.

Review: Saine presents three diverse house essences following his previous releases on the likes of Odd Socks, Voyage and Must Have. "Act Natural" kicks things off with a rolling crunch before taking a sudden left turn into something so naturally uplifting you can't help but think of DJ Gregory in his prime. "Jus Right" eases back a little and digs deep into the wavey sliding synths before "Low Key" rounds off with a more hypnotic perspective. With Pontchartrain on remix duties, we're really being spoilt here. Straight up grandeur.

Million Dollar Feeling (Gerd remix)
Time To Let You Down
Review: For their twelfth release the ever classy Delusions Of Grandeur imprint welcome Session Victim back into the fold. The German duo ushered in the New Year with the three classy cuts on Left The Building and they've come correct on this new release. "Million Dollar Feeling" is definitely characterised by the intricate drum programming and complemented by deep pads and a truly soulful vocal sample. The soft moogy undertones that resonate subaqueously in the mix towards the end add that extra touch of quality. 4Lux boss Gerd is called on to remix the track, dipping that vocal sample in infectious delay, straightening the groove for a disco kick and laying down some brilliant neon tinged bass echoes. This remix chugs hard! The pace gets dropped on the B Side, an 11 minute low rider called "Time To Let You Down" which shimmers and reverberates through nine minutes of teasing your ears before the glorious full string heavy sample unfurls.

Review: Few artists are as adroit in the studio with live playing and real instruments as Session Victim. The German pair have always made house with a difference - that difference being proper structures and a real sense of liveliness and vitality a long way from rigid, gridded dance music. This new three tracker on long time home Delusions of Grandeur offers more of that, firstly with he busy percussive vibes of 'Two Crowns' with its soul, jazz and funk elements all sitting pretty. 'Guidance' takes you out into the great outdoors on summery flutes and broken beats and 'Village Youth' is a life-affirming and spiritual house tune of the highest order.

Review: Although they've delivered plenty of fine singles over the years, it's invariably Session Victim's albums that get us hot under the collar. This is primarily because it gives them a chance to showcase a wider range of grooves, tempos and instrumentations amongst the ear-pleasing dancefloor workouts. Their sunny disposition, noted sample-spotting ability and varied inspirations are all in evidence on the German duo's third full-length excursion. It's a deliciously evocative, enjoyable and mood enhancing affair that smilingly meanders between dreamy jazz-house bliss, Bossa-Balearic fusion, disco-sampling cheeriness, glistening slow jams, Afro-tinged deep house warmth and humid dub riddims (the impeccable "Castle For Sale"). In other words, it's another hugely enjoyable romp packed full of winning moments.

Review: Those cursing the fact they missed out on Session Victim's See You When You Get There album in its premium triple LP format can at least be consoled with the fact the German duo are issuing it as a series of 12" samplers too. This third and final sampler completes the set and is fairly indicative of the widescreen approach to the deep house form shown on the album as a whole, with the wonderful jazz house shuffle of opener "The Most Beautiful Divorce Ever" dovetailing nicely with the piano heavy soundtrack piece "Crystal Maze". At the time See You When You Get There was originally released, the fluttering brilliance of "Under Your Spell" became one of our favourite Session Victim productions and it's lost none of its lustre here.

Review: In addition to issuing their second album See You When You Get There in triple vinyl format, German duo Session Victim have taken the curious decision with Delusions of Grandeur to release the LP across a trilogy of 12" samplers too. Irrespective of their motives, there's no denying each of the four cuts on this second sampler will service any deep house loving dancefloor for months to come, with Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling's refined grasp of the genre resulting in music that positively ruffles with a deep sense of melodic warmth. The contrast between the jazzy "Hey Stranger" and the wholly darker "Make People Dance" also hints at a pleasant development in the Session Victim sound too.

They're fine producers, too, who know how to dig for a simple, but also how to construct lively tracks that ramp up the vibes without ever getting lazy or obvious. This is their third full length yet and clearly their most accomplished. 'Bring It Back' is a steamy opener with chords and percussion and drums and vocals all layered up loosely but invitingly. From there the house sounds veer off into jazzy late night territory, blissed out beach vibes and soul drenched groovers.

Review: Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling have been pretty quiet since releasing the Two Man House Band E.P this time last year. Whether or not this surprise 12" is a precursor to a new LP or not, the two original tracks showcased here are vintage Session Victim. While many will love the jazzy, sun-kissed deep house positivity of "Up To Rise", it's nowhere near as potent a dancefloor force as "Matching Half", which benefits greatly from looped riffs that doff a sly wink to Fleetwood Mac, killer keys, and some rush-inducing chord progressions. Byron The Aquarius delivers a killer flipside rework of that track, too, which ups the jazziness whilst beefing up the bottom end.

I On You (6:12)
Review: Delusions Of Grandeur have been relatively quiet on the release front this year, but they're back with a bang thanks to this latest collaborative effort from Dan Shake and Medlar. The former has gotten a name thanks to being the first non-Detroiter on Moodymann's Mahogani Music, while the latter has been pushing his disco-friendly take on house music largely via the Wolf Music imprint. They got two cuts on here, the first one being a boogie-leaning, hazy summer club jam in the form of "Walk", and the second one a jazzier affair with plenty of soulful vocals and tribal drums called "I On You". Philpot bossman Soulphiction takes care of transforming "Walk" into a pot of filter-licking madness, where the percussion is stretched and freaked out further out into the ether compared to the original. What a package!

Review: Don't mix this Juno exclusive clear vinyl repress of one of 2009's most cherished deep house releases, namely ''The Soul Pt II'' by Craig Smith and The Revenge. The original was used to great effect by Seth Troxler on his Boogiebytes mix for BPitch earlier this year, with its sultry percussion, vocal moans and gently building chords making it one of the finest examples of the 'slow house' genre that has taken off in 2010. Graeme Clark then dons his 6th Borough Project hat to turn in a remix that strips the vocal elements and rides a tough percussive groove to the bone, while Irish producer John Daly takes up the whole flip side with his hypnotic, sprawling remix. Stunning stuff all round.

Review: It would be fair to say that Henry Maldonado, known more widely as Son Of Sound, has been one of the few revelations to come out of New York City since the early 2000's. For a city which gave us so much in the 80's and 90's, there have been relatively few new names to carry on the dynasty, but Maldonado's sleek and thoughtful style for imprints like Disrtrict 30 and Speak Recordings has provided a bit of life and love to the American Dream. Moreover, the man appears on Delusions Of Grandeur, one of our all time favourite labels when it comes to house, and one that we wish was more present again. The deal here is simple; Son Of House provides us with three sultry, laid-back house groovers with plenty of soul and homebred sensibility, rolling and pushing its solid grooves over bouncy, seductive melodies and feel-good charms.

Review: Delusions of Grandeur are doing a great job marking their 50th release. This second celebratory EP features four more previously unreleased gems from label artists past and present. New York veteran Son of Sound kicks things off with the driving, '90s New Jersey garage influenced pump of "Under The Son", before Sebastien Vorhaus and Ponty Mython join forces on the Theo Parrish influenced, deep jazz-house wiggle of "I'm The Slime". Dave Pezzner dons the Zepp001 guise for the first time in five years and serves up a jazzy nu-disco/deep house fusion (the deliciously tactile "Enemy"), before Norm De Plume closes proceedings with the warm-and-loose, jazz-funk influenced deep house cut "Building Bridges".

Girl I Know It
Blowin' My Mind
Be With Me (feat Dnae)
Review: Who said filtered, chugging house was dead? Certainly not Delusions Of Grandeur, long-time proponents of delivering sweaty dancefloor heat. Following the Burnin' Up 12" for Shadeleaf last year, ThatmanMonkz's second release provides dubstep heaviness made to fit a deep house, jazz and disco influenced mould. With its tribal drums and deep vocals "Girl I Know It" is an attention grabbing A-side, while the B1, "Blowin' My Mind", has some of the best Rhodes you could hope for in a house production (never mind those thick claps and damp beats). "Be With Me" then hits up the jazz tip with gorgeous Lauryn Hill sounding vocals. Big tip on this one.

Review: Thatmanmonkz is Scott Moncrieff to be precise, a Sheffield based producer who been making house music since around 1997 but more recently on Kolour LTD and of course Delusions Of Grandeur: where he's recognised as a label mainstay. His new album Colombusing is a mighty 14 track effort, and there's a wide variety of moods and grooves, not to mention collaborations! Some of those very hookups are the highlights on here, we must say. There's a couple of tracks with San Francisco minimalist/human beatbox Dave Aju; "Turn It Out" is a deep and sleazy funk jam with Cameo-ish vocals, while "Boogie Down" features the sweet lungs of Erik Rico whose Curtis Mayfield impressions suit this feelgood soul jam just perfectly. "Baked" features the deep poetry of NYC's Malik Ameer on this on this dope jam full of urban flavour. There's music to dance to too, rest assured: "Take U 2 My House" featuring Khalil Anthony is surefire deep house aimed squarely at the dance floor.

Pathfinder (Fabrizio Mammarella remix)
Backbeat
Abregon
Review: D.O.G turns 29 releases old and welcomes into the fold London based producer Toby Tobias for his debut turn out. The Pathfinder EP commences in searing fashion with "Backbeat" - all big basslines, pitched vocals, airy synths and fromage laced white noise sweeps which combine for a perfect slice of contemporary disco. Stomping kicks and plucked strings dominate "Arbegon", while Michael Bolton saxophones, machine drum trickery and the delaying chords of "Pathfinder" build and drop into a beefy and funked out groove. Fabrizio Mammarella's remix lightens the bass load of Tobias' original, but does so without sacrificing the low end of his own production, successfully striping back and utilising its best elements.

I Give You Love
I Give You Love (LHT remix)
It's Burning (Lauer remix)
Review: Given his production vintage spanning REKIDS, Burek, Under The Shade and Let's Play House there's a sense of inevitability that Toby Tobias would surface on Delusions Of Grandeur sooner or later; indeed it feels strange that it's taken so long but as Burning Love demonstrates, its been worth the wait. Lead track "It's Burning" is notable for the chiming synth that resonates brightly amidst a multiplicity of gurgling analogue grooves, whilst "I Give You Love" opts for a more rugged warehouse vibe, embellished by the yearning vocal hooks. Down below these two cuts get remixed in requisite fashion; the London Housing Trust collective tackle "I Give You Love" morphing it into a tripped out jacking freestyle number, whilst the always excellent Lauer works his magic on "It's Burning" introducing all manner of vivid colour with his melodies and basslines.

Always Twirling
Twirl & The Beanstalk
Whispering Twirl
Review: For their thirteenth release, Delusions of Grandeur eek some more deep heat out of Australian wunderkind Tornado Wallace. Since "Paddlin" was released back in June young Wallace has delivered some fine remixes for the likes of Hometaping, Kolour and Future Classics which has seen him get props from the likes of The Revenge, Eddie C, Chamboche and Cottam. The three tracks on this release demonstrate a growing maturity in production which will soon promote Wallace alongside the aforementioned. "Always Twirling" hogs the A Side with a dubbed out pads and soaring strings twisting around the throbbing beat augmented by rattling 808 snares and staid hi-hats making for an emotive deep house moment. Wallace goes one better on the B Side with "Twirl and the Beanstalk" a dusty raw beatdown that drops a wormhole synth rhythm in a increasingly chaotic array of percussive delight. Just wow. The final twirl takes proceedings down a notch laying some filtered piano melodies over a bumping mid tempo boogie beat.

Beasts & The Birds (Tim Toh remix)
Review: Manuel Tur arrives on Delusions of Grandeur’s eighth release on top of a wave of recent productivity. He has been putting out his own singles on labels such as Pokerflat, Freerange, Mild Pitch and Drumpoet in addition to his work as one half of his Ribn project with partner Lagenberg, not to mention a plethora of remixes. His latest solo effort, "Beasts and the Birds" lets his shimmering deep house lead the way over two original tracks and remix from Tim Toh. "Fianchetto" opens the release in a dark and spaced out mood. Ultra deep from start to finish, the tight percussion merges with warm, subby disco beats and echoing horns to make for disturbingly hypnotic listening.

The breakdown reduces the tune to strange vocal parts and alien FX, creating a wonderfully spooky atmosphere that sounds even more massive on the big systems. Developing the disco theme further, "Beast and the Birds" sounds like super contemporary disco, keeping the style of the sound but in a heavily looped fashion that draws on the attitude and characteristics of Detroit.

The beat is the driving force here, but we also get some horns and guitar alongside tidy percussion as this deep track rolls along contentedly. Young German producer, Tim Toh is on had to finish the release with a remix of the title track. He stretches "Beasts and the Birds" out in a delightfully abstract nine minute journey. Heavily layered, the remix keeps the vibe of Manuel Tur’s offering, but twists it around new layers of sound. This is raw house music from Manuel Tur here. Tapping into his deep, slightly edgy sound, "Beasts and the Birds" continues to show us that he knows how to create an atmosphere whilst exploring the deepest regions of house.

Dearly Beloved
Dearly Beloved (DJ Nature remix)
Review: Seattle producers Zepp001 return to Delusions Of Grandeur for their first release since 2009's warmly received Don't Sleep. Here, they offer up two more originals in their distinctive, melodic style, plus a flipside remix from DJ Nature. Lead cut "The Warm" is a sprightly, other-worldly effort full of alien melodies and nagging, high register chords (think Deep Space Orchestra), while "Dearly Beloved" twists warped chords and far out nu-disco synths around a bubbling low-end groove. The real killer, though, is DJ Nature's rub of "Dearly Beloved", which brilliantly re-casts the original as a dubbed out, jazz-flecked deep houser.
