  7. Worlds Together (3:26)
Review: Steve Spacek's Blackpocket project enjoys the wax justice his beats were tailored for. Pure 24th century soul, everything about this special Exit mini album shimmers with the forward-thinking songwriting and sonic textures he's been known for since the early 90s. A lights-down-low affair that sucks you deep into its cosmic underbelly, from the trickling raindrop arpeggios of opener "ALAYLY" to the driving beats and hooky vocals of finale "Worlds Together" by way of the smoky Amp Fiddler style finger clocks and humanised textures of "Wake Up Feel Good" and the introspective star-lit noodles of "Organic Tech", it's another superlative voyage from Mr White. Talent and innovation clearly runs in the family.

  3. Acidize (feat DBridge) (6:28)
  4. Triangle (4:53)
  5. No Team (feat Lorn) (4:44)
Review: Following releases and appearances on Astrophonica, Rua Sound and None60 the incredibly talented Lewis James makes his Exit debut with this remarkable five track EP. If you've followed his previous, you'll know how untypical, exciting and disarmingly deep and emotive this music is before you even press play. Highlights include the heart-hugging soul of "Worth The Pain" with Danish singer Alia Fresco (who you will recognise from dBridge and Kid Drama releases in the past) the stalking beat punctuation and tension of "Acidize" (with the bossman dBridge on collaborative assist) and the genuinely epic, bittersweet finale "No Team", a collaboration with none other than Lorn! Everything about this EP has been executed with thought, detail and soul. No one does things like Lewis or indeed Exit. Beautiful.

Drum And Bass
  1. Your Moves (4:33)
  2. Doughy (5:43)
  3. Didger (4:53)
  4. Make Me (5:40)
Review: Not to be confused with the punk-era Sheffield outfit of the same name, Workforce is the solo alias of SpectraSoul man Jack Stevens. Here he makes his first appearance on EXIT following two EPs on Must Make. He hits the ground running with the sparse, stripped-back drum and bass mutations of "Your Moves" - all mangled R&B vocal snippets, tense drums and booming bass - before moving in a more slick and soulful direction on "Doughy". Over on the flip, "Didger" sounds like Nine Inch Nails making D&B with Ed Rush and Optical, while closing cut "Make Me" wraps fuzzy, distorted electronics and brief vocal snippets around a glitchy D&B rhythm.
