Review: The second edition of Jinn's catalogue comes from European producer Feilim with his debut release, after an arresting debut from Japanese producer Yoshinori Hayashi. On the A side we have the soulful classic techno of "Pota" (Restricted Intelligence) which the label compared to early Joey Beltram - which is fair enough. The tough stomper features a euphoric/rapid fire organ melody, over a fat bleep bass and airy pads - and it's an energy flash indeed. On the flip, we have something more subdued with the deep trance induction of "Always Evolving In The Sun" which again uses some classic elements (namely early '90s UK bleep) alongside more modern strains of hypnotic techno beneath intermittent snippets of a druggy and pitch shifted monologue. You'll be totally trippin' balls when you put this one on the platter!
