Review: It's pretty easy to see where Train To Eltanin were coming from with the album title here. The moment the staccato, off-beat proto-electro opener "Swimming Angels" reveals itself, shades of Transparent Sound abound, this is clearly the work of people who enjoy realising what the future may sound like by combining the vision of humans with the effects of digital instrumentation. From that glittering, starry-eyed introduction, through the tougher and far more mechanical factory floor breaks of "Page Table Isolation", the erratic, wasp-in-jar tension of "Unexpected Store Exception", and soaring arpeggiation of "Ricominciare Dalla Fine", the whole affair feels dreamlike - unpredictable, far reaching, a truly wild ride through the outer rings of electronic music, touching on IDM, industrial and jungle, without succumbing to the pressure of conforming to any genre in particular.
