Review: More dark, euphoric and moody dancefloor 12"'s from Lobster Theremin's new sublabel UNDR. Following a terrific inauguration by Hidden Spheres, the second edition comes courtesy of Andrew Red Hand. The Romainian producer who has previously released on labels such as Twilight 76, M>O>S and Chiwax kicks things off with the spooky, cinematic John Carpenter-goes-electro vibe of "In The Cemetery", before bringing in the brooding Italo-influenced gloom of "Slaying The Dictator" and even displaying a fondess for the acid life (but hey don't we all) on the wicked 303 grind of "Bombing For Peace".

Review: Danish electro explorer Grammar Of Movement is a producer on the rise. That much is proved by "Plastic Games", the producer's first outing on Lobster Theremin offshoot Lobster UNDR. He begins with the title track, an elasticated romp through outer-space club electro territory rich in ghostly chords, funky electronics and bustling bass. "Model 1600" sees him doff a cap to Kraftwerk and Cybotron in a surprisingly dystopian manner, while "IOI" is a deeper, warmer and slightly more bass-heavy affair that draws some influence from classic IDM cuts. Elsewhere, "Sad Juno" is a gorgeous and melancholic deep electro shuffler, while "K-Mix" is formidably funky and full of raw analogue bass and punchy drums.

  2. One Day Later (6:10)
  3. Rubber (5:44)
  4. There's Hope For You Yet (6:27)
Review: Shedbug's slow but steady rise continues via an EP that's as thrilling and action-packed as a narcotics-fuelled weekend with a platoon of free party lunatics. There's a distinctively psychedelic feel to the retro-futurist club cuts on show, with bombastic opener "Aciidmuzik" - all effervescent hardcore style breakeat, psy-trance acid lines and fizzing electronics - being quickly followed by the hallucinatory ambient techno shuffle of "One Day Later". His devotion to the more LSD-inspired aspects of early '90s electronic music continues on the flip, where the exotic vocal samples, trippy electronic motifs and glassy-eyed melodies of breakbeat shuffler "Rubber" come paired with the sunrise-friendly bliss of the EP's most loved-up track, "There's Hope For You Yet".
