Review: After launching with a rock solid EP by Cally in July 2018, the More Than Music label returns to action with a double-header of dancefloor-focused fun. Arapu handles side A, serving up a wonderfully chunky, hypnotic and locked-in tech-house box jam built around sturdy kick-drums, funk-fuelled electronic glitches, restless bass and all manner of chopped and layered vocal samples. Over on side B, Cirhan continues on a similar theme, serving up a delightfully skewed fusion of booming sub-bass, swinging, off-kilter drums, creepy piano flourishes and moody, end-of-days aural textures. It's just as hypnotic as Arapu's A-side, just a little looser and woozier in feel.

Review: Some two years on from his last outing - a fine contribution to Botanic Minds' excellent Sunset Series - Barut returns to action, this time on Ibizan record shop More Than Music's offshoot label. He's in typically deep and dreamy former on title track 'Cuantiz', wrapping gently psychedelic electronics, dreamy aural textures and pulsing chords around a hypnotic, locked-in tech-house groove. The Miami-based producer opts for a slightly heavier and more druggy sound on tech-house box jam 'Legunia', before reaching for creepy chords, thickset analogue bass and weirdo sounds aplenty on 'Decima'. Piku steps up to remix the latter track, delivering a heavier and more stripped-back take notable for a throbbing bassline and deep, echoing synth stabs.

Review: Following up that terrific remix for homeboys Disuasiv a few months back on Curtea Veche, London based Romanian caLLy returns with this brand new killer which inaugurates new Ibiza based record store More Than Music's new label arm. It's more of the same ethereal tech-house that you've come to know from the man - these are the kind of rolling and understated grooves that will put you in a trance at Sunwaves on Mamaia Beach this summer. From the hypnotic and subtle groove of "Yes No, Maybe So" or when he really brings the funk on the bouncy and trippy tool "Decisions" which also gets a terrific rework by Concealed Sounds main man Martinez. The Copenhagen based Swede delivers some serious swing on one of his renowned concealment dubs.

Review: Since launching their offshoot label in 2018, Ibiza Record store More Than Music (MTM) has offered up a string of rock-solid singles from the likes of Triptil, Mihai Pol and Arapu. The White Isle-based imprint's latest recruit is sometime Eastenderz and Infuse artist Lorenzo Chiabotti. He sets his stall out via bold and ear-pleasing title track "Albatross", where a variety of sparkling, sun-kissed synthesizer riffs and funk-fuelled TB-303 acid lines buzz around a bouncy, bass-heavy tech-house groove. Over on side B it's all about "Attabeat", a smooth and spacey slab of tech-house warmth that Topper subsequently turns into a two-step-influenced dance through low-slung grooves and drowsy, deep space pads.

Review: It's fair to say that Mihai Pol is definitely one of Rominimal's most ascendant stars, so it's fitting that he was tapped to take reins for More Than Music's third release. "Phonica Wednesday" follows up impressive releases by fellow countrymen Arapu, caLLy, or Crihan, and sees the Brasov-based producer deliver the same style of smooth, bass-driven and reductionist funk that you've come to know and love from him on the title track, followed by the rolling and ethereal hypnotica of "Hard Decision" that's perfectly timed with Sunwaves season where it will no doubt go down a treat. On the flip, East End Dubs dons the Viceversa alias for a killer remix - providing more journeys into swing like he does so well.

Review: More Than Music is a key picture on the underground circuit thanks to its slick tech output since 2018. The label, which was born from, a little record store in Ibiza, now welcomes Mihai Pol and Miroloja for one track each having both appeared here before. Pol goes first with 'Up' which magmas to be a lunge, jazzy house number as well as a sci-fi tech cut all at the same time. It's well designed and perfectly characterful. French duo Miroloja then up the ante with a more visceral and driving cut for those more direct late night hours. These are super slick and low end gems.

Review: Ibiza based record store and label More Than Music look to accomplished artist Triptil for their next offering. Much loved minimalist Barac has already been playing these and it's easy to see why: 'Niko' is a carefree roller with curious pads and quirky sound designs colouring in the slippery house groove. 'Wasteland' is more menacing but just as fluid and perfectly stripped back, then Silat Beksi serves up a remix that is loop-house excellence for those more tripped out moments in the night. It's hard to pick a standout here, such is the quality overall.

Review: Viceversa is back on the ever more essential MTM label outta holland with a pair of slick new minimal tech house gems. There is a lovely wetness to the claps and rubberiness to the bass of opener 'IV' that immediately appeals. They roll on with more metallic hits and you are happy to stay there for days. 'VVVVII' is another warm, dubby, deep bit of minimal tech with tripped out medic motifs. Lastly, Cosmin steps up to remix and takes the tune into more dark, uncertain territory that keeps you on edge.
