Bubbling and acid toned squiggles dance upon staccato hi-hats and choral melodies in the upbeat and sweat sounding house cut "Serenade". Analogue warmth is ever present throughout the "The Silence of Winter", as hypnotic leads and LFO infected synths influence serenely sung vocals and top end EQ twiddles. A collector's must have.

Review: We can't remember the last time we came across a 7" single of straight-up deep house. Certainly, it's a novelty, though there's little novel or cheeky about the two tracks showcased on this diddy, coloured vinyl release from Spain's Minuendo label. 2DeepSoul's A-side, "Home", is effortlessly melodious - a warm, rich and enticing blend of shuffling rhythms, swirling chords and the kind of blissfully electronic melodies that make you want to dance with your eyes shut. There's a more organic and quietly soulful feel about Owen Jay and Melchior Sultana's flipside effort, "Deserted". Blessed with a delicious double bass line, bespoke keys and a whisper of Motor City techno (in terms of the electronics, at least), it's a sublime chunk of sensual deepness.

Review: Anotonelli Electric drops his 'A Ghost Should Care EP' on Spain's Minuendo imprint featuring 3 tracks of crisp, warm dub house pressure. The main track 'Repeat The Beat, Vol 10' features warm, sensual sounds, finger-snapping percussion and fat, round bass that has an almost Plastic City feel to it. On the title track he drops a big Detroit-issue keyboard wash and Carl Craig-like drums, a great tribute to the Motor City sound done with a modern German touch. Review: Deep house explorer Jay Ka has already scored releases on Phonogramme, Saft and other labels, but now he reaches even further with a turn on Spain's finest, Minuendo Recordings. It's just the right kind of smooth, undulating dance music that can slip into all manner of situations from the beach bar to the after party. "They Like To Do" is a wonderfully meditative jam laced with vocal licks and hazy chords, but even when things get spicier on "Unknown Uniform" the brittle drums and acid lines seem to blur into a woozy reverie that matches the rest of the EP. Watch out for Dubbyman's remix of "Untitled", which feeds some irresistible rolling drums and piano chords into the mix.

Review: Minuendo keep things interesting on this latest various artists 12", primarily focusing on Owen Jay and Brian James on the A side for two tracks of adventurous experimentation on the wild frontier of minimal house music. The wobbly synth running through "Niko's Groove" is a real head turner, while "Imagery" nudges the grand tradition of dub house into a new pocket of ambience that draws you in immediately. There's a lovely, classic deep house joint from Untitled called "Seafood", and then Blue Vulva & The Electronic Crooner completely flip the script on the B2 with rowdy acid burner "Vulbitch Bazaar".

Review: You can almost feel the European summer trying to burst free when listening to this 12" from Joey Kay and Chicagodeep & Taelue. Joey Kay's "Perfect Time" sets the tone, pairing gospel vocals and high pitched leads set to sustain, while "Cliff Dwellers" ventures into dubby house territory with looped synth stabs that self propel in motion to phase-tinged hit-hats and claps coated in reverb. Chicagodeep & Taelue open with a Rhodes heavy and chord drowsy "Sunday Drive", which Dubbyman the slows down ten-fold by introducing new keys and a deeply languorous bassline.

Review: After the excellent turns from Jay Ka, Vincent Inc, Danijel Kevic and Lola Allen, the latest artist to appear on the ever productive Spanish deep house machine Minuendo is Kevin Kendall. With little previous form, Kendall doesn't take long to impress on the Go Easy EP, with the title track seducing instantly with its woozy tones and deft drum programming. "Second Chance" is a punchier affair, while "Remembering You" seems to tap into that Fred P way of doing things. "I Hesitate" is a warbling beauty to round off a resoundingly strong first EP for Minuendo.

Review: Minuendo calls upon Vincent Inc and Danijel Kevic to kick off their latest single, and they do so in fine style with the luxurious sweeping chords of "Space". Twinkling pianos, speech samples and a carefully measured set of deep house drums make this the consummate slice of pool-side dance music for those who can still find some sun at this time of year. Lola Allen steps up to the B side with something a little more sassy in the shape of "Afrofusion Jazz". As the title might suggest, there's a mixture of influences tumbling into this track, most notably with some wildly filtered jazz organ and funk licks stewing in the pot, and just when you think it's going to break it swerves off into submerged Moodymann territory. This is unpredictable house music at its finest.
